I'm actually kind of surprised that Hall of the Mountain King is not on the list, because in nearly every second video from the 3 only TikTokers I watch except Twoset, they always use this as background sound.

Tchaikovsky would be voted the world’s favorite composer if every person voted and knew who wrote what. Out of the bits that regular, non-classical people hear in daily life, a lot of their favorites come from him.
Lol someone should do this, like have non-classical listeners listen to clips of 10 composers and rank them! Two set??
But to your point, you might be right. Tchaikovsky just has that drama and melody and soul that are so widely and immediately compelling and wrench the heart like almost no other composers!
agreed, i always played tchaikovsky pieces whenever i hosted zoom meeting with my uni friends who don't know anything about classical music and they always love it and asked me who composed it :D
the only other composer that can compete with Tchaik in terms of number of recognizable melodies by the general public would be Bizet. Almost every aria from carmen and the overture are so widely used

As someone who does ballet, I've loved classical music forever and it is closely tied to our craft. I'd love a ballet centered TwoSet video. Maybe rate some famous ballet musical pieces or composers? (Tchaikovsky, Adolphe Adam, Ludwig Minkus, Prokofiev, etc.) And I completely agree that Tchaikovsky is the GOAT. We ballerinas love him, too!

I remember having to play million of times Chopin's Nocturne op.9 No.2 at ballet lessons, and watching the dancers I decided to quit and give more time and practice to my dance carrer, so I quit piano and became a flamenco dancer. And years after I got diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis, so I had to quit dancing and then I came back to piano from the beggining, with my old Beyer's and Bach's at home to chill and enjoy ^_^
@@bachagain1685 was about to walk into a Walgreens (corner store/pharmacy if you don't know it) the other day when for some reason Toccata came on the speakers really loud. Legit made me pause before entering because that song is so good at creating a mood I got nervous for a second 😂

If you train your cat as a kitten that water is ok and start with wipe-downs and sink baths, they can become ok with tubs. After you teach one cat, following kittens will just assume its ok.

Brah, "The Nutcracker" is literally about Clara's parents throwing a bougee party for all their mates at their house and Uncle Drosselmeyer is clearly loaded given that he gives her not one, but SEVERAL life-size, wind-up dolls, so I think the music is actually completely fine for the house tour even storywise.

Fun Fact:
My cousin is Chinese (and so am I but-) but he's lactose tolerant and also allergic to flour (+allergies to a lot more stuff). So, he can't eat rice and a lot of other foods. And, instead of just not giving him rice, his mom makes a certain kind of homemade rice that doesn't contain flour, somehow. And it tastes surprisingly good- The dedication of his mother is amazing to me lmao.

Maybe she's serving miracle rice? And no, that's not a joke. I forget the real name for it, but it's often sold under the name 'miracle' rice (and there's a pasta version) because it's made from a plant root and has no carbs and very low calories.

My mom is gluten intolerant and I do all her shopping, so I'm up to date on all the newest random things they've made gluten free whether I like it or not, and they actually make gluten free soy sauce.
She still doesn't eat any East Asian food at restaurants unless they specifically offer a gluten free option because she's not always sure what sauces have gluten in them.

I’M KIDDING! LING LING INSURANCE!! T^T it’s a violin hickey, as a (intermediate) violinist, we develop these marks when the chin and shoulder rest rub against the skin and leaves a bruise over time. I can guarantee you he has one on his collarbone too, because that’s were the shoulder rest goes. It does sound kinda sus but trust me it’s true lmao

I can definitely confirm that some ballet schools are absolutely insane when it comes to The Nutcracker. You only get cut slack if you’re considered what we called “the little girls”. Apprentice level and up like her and I? Rehearsals were brutal.
10:00 it‘s like me living my entire life in a province surrounded by Rice Fields but have very bad allergy to rice plant. Nose always blocked every time I wake up and lots of scars on my skin. I left as soon as I graduated college.
The first Waltz of the Flowers was my favorite 😂. It was the song my friend chose for her debut, it was really fun to dance to.
Love Twoset and how fun these videos are. One thing that distracted me from this one is that the camera seemed to be dirty. At first I thought it was my screen, but the smudges moved when the camera moved. Keep up the great content and I hope to see you on your next actual world tour.
