Okay, but this is fucking scary. Imagine you wake up, remember nothing, turns out you're a serial killer. LIKE WTFFFFFFF I guess after hearing that lady say we are all in a simulation, that kinda freaks me out. What if I wake up one day and my whole life was a lie...
It can be by making one bad decision for example everything you do and don't do everything little thing has a impact in some way shape or form. One thing that Im doing to keep my peace and mind and myself love is just by staying focused on me and only me I've been through enough in my life to understand how people are and why they do the things they do. At the end of the day people will only use you for there needs and for your benefits and at the end of the day whoever it may be friend or family loved one they'll do everything in there power to make you feel bad for yourself if they see that they can't manipulate you anymore and can't be in charge. As soon as you put your foot down and your in control of yourself and are doing good that's when you expect it. Sorry for the rant just thought I'd throw out some truth
I like how it shows that being a killer isnt something your born with it's a long line of events that bring you to it
I woke up like that once. Take some acid, first time you have a real ego death or experience the loop you will indeed wake up the next day having realized your whole life has been a lie lmaooo. Or rather that everything you thought you knew about It/reality is a lie, and "you" are an illusion. Its the fun kind of "woke up to realizing everything is a lie" though heh
Go watch this korean drama called Mouse.
It's similar but more friggin insane.
You're just a bot in a simulation of planet earth. You actually don't have a real life!
I mean, what if Liam's death didn't stop the curse? Then everyone who tried to move him would be in for an unpleasant surprise. In a hospital for goodness sakes

I watched this movie a bit over a year ago, loved it. A small hidden gem, maybe even a masterpiece. The twist where Liam is actually the killer was really unexpected, same with the ending, which was pretty sad. Honestly a great movie, go check it out.
I also love that Liam was an horrible person who killed plenty of people and loved it, but yet, when he loses his memory, he's a really good guy, his "default" self was good. Makes you think how and why he turned into a serial killer.

@ghost pork kinda... the mind is a complex thing because your whole personality was pretty much reset which could be the same as not doing the crime in the first place
@ghost pork Of course it does. He can’t remember any of his previous actions, he literally isn’t the same man. That doesn’t make what he did okay, but it’s like when dealing with schizophrenics, or very young children. Children that are young enough can’t understand the significance of their crimes, and some schizophrenics aren’t experiencing the same reality as you or I, who knows how they processed what they did.
@ghost pork Yes I agree with your comment, but the movie situation is different, it’s a total reset. The guy in the movie is a new personality, different from the past, even when he regains the memory he’s still different. It’s like reading a persons whole life in a book, but you still wouldn’t be that person.

I wonder if being a serial killer is part of a neurological issue and/or a personality trait. If so, in real life, if a serial killer were to get amnesia, would they naturally become a serial killer again or develop a different personality like Liam did ? The former seems more logical to me but I wonder
i guess in some cases they would deploy a separate personality, the one who kills for protection or pleasure and the social one.
Often, and this is not to excuse it at all, nurture plays a LARGE part. If your parents always shout, you may think shouting is normal. If they don't, you don't. I think a certain disposition for killing could very well be in the nature of a human but it's the nurture, from what I've seen/heard/read that really carries the water. So if all the terrible learned behavior and learned ways of processing emotions or actions undertaken to 'regain/retain' control aren't needed because he doesn't feel out of control in a normal situation because he doesn't remember the skewed ideas of being codependent or w/e. So in short, if you lose just your memory but not your surroundings, you could very well develop into a killer again. If you are entirely away from past influences and then lose your memory? You may very well end up a 'normal' person.
@@bararobberbaron859 This does hold some weight, but then there are also siblings raised in the same household which don’t go on to do it, there are people raised in abusive households who don’t become serial killers. I think both genetics and nurture play a part.
All psychopaths are narcissists, but not all narcissists are psychopaths. Psychopaths do feel emotion, but they respond differently to it. Or maybe it’s that they don’t feel as much. Not all psychopaths go on to kill. But they do often use others.

And the girl could be a somewhat electrical magnet that activates and deactivates his powers like an On and Off button but has to be within his radius... But i dunno this is all just my theory...
Why do people's eyes turn white tho and more importantly why is there an exact radius that kills people instead off and approximate range that kills for e.g. old people at a different distance then young.

@@alias234 "There are a lot of psychopaths in life who actually don't kill at all, simply due to the deterrance." Is that really the case though or is it also just as likely that they don't because they just don't care enough to kill?
@@LeoWolfish Well, in many cases, assuming you don't value life, murder would be the expedient path. 2 people up for promotion? If your competition dies in their pool, well, that makes things easier. So while I'm sure they are indifferent to a great many things, they do care for their own pleasure. being locked up is less fun than being free, so deterrence probably does keep quite a few of them on the straight and narrow. And when you only really care about your own pleasure, risking your reputation is also a factor.
@@LeoWolfish being a psychopath does not make you a killer. Their defining trait is the inability to truly emphasize with the people around them, thus typically making them "masters of disguise" since they regularly need to mask that aspect. Most psychopaths who don't kill tend to lean towards positions of high power and influence, for example company CEOs, politicians, and attorneys.

This movie had a very interesting concept but I felt like it missed out on the white eyed people.
Personally I felt it would've been better if the range of the death radius was massively increased. That way the only kind of people he encountered would already be long dead before he saw them. I would envision this as Liam traveling to various locations, wondering why the heck there was white eyed dead people everywhere and trying to figure out what happened to them until he finally realizes at the end of the film that he was the reason why these white eyed people kept appearing. That those people had been alive moments before and died before he could meet them.
There could've been clues along the way like finding a diner with white eyed people in them and them coming back to the diner only to find more corpses there.
It's because the death radius isn't the focus of the plot, it's just a tool, a metaphor. They wanted to confront the spectator with the idea that if a serial killer loses his memory he becomes someone else entirely, but his past murderous life couldn't be truly erased.
