I'm Postmill and this is great that we can talk about this, sadly most christians are not aware of other end time views they only know the rapture. We all agree the gospel must go forth with power to all people. What we believe about the end times is important, I've met far to many scared christians recently and the bible clearly tells us not to be scared. When I read the gospels I'm constantly struck with the thought God walked this earth for 33 years, he came to die for us and permitted sinful man to crucify him. I cant think of anything since the creation of the world until now more significant than when The Lord Jesus took on flesh. That's why I am postmill.

@Jonathan Thomas How do I put something so glorious into words. I read the gospels with so much joy I think I understand Simeons joy (even if only a little) when he was holding the Messiah. I always keep one foot in the gospels no matter where i am reading in the bible. It keeps me in a state of awe. I started reading this way last year and it's only increased my love for God and thats why I look at the Lord Jesus in the gospels as the most significant event in history everything else in history pales by comparison and will until he comes again.

If, my brother, you hold such a love for Christ, how then can you hold this view in his name? If you study the meaning of such a view it tries to prioritize a centric here and now view rather than a hope. Hope that is seen is not hope because you no longer are hoping for it, you are working for it. And yet, God has said that he is getting HIMSELF a Kingdom, not that we are ushering it in. Notice our Lord saying the Gospel of the Kingdom, as of a Kingdom coming near, or arriving in a fashion, rather than one that is made manifest in our presence now. In the Spirit, the Kingdom is here, but in the Flesh, how can it be present? All of Scripture talks about clean and unclean? Is our flesh yet pit away? No. In fact, though it be dead for Christians, it has an active life in those who refuse the Gospel and die in the same manner. Death still reigns predominantly over many, so then how can we call this current age a Kingdom of God? Til death is subjugated we have only seen the firstfruits of the Kingdom and not the fulness thereof.

@@xavierthomas5835 Amen Xavier. Paul gives a beautiful description of the first resurrection in 1 Corinthians chapter 15. The Rapture of the Body of Christ an event that is hated by so many professing Christians will be imminent when the Church Age hits 2000 years of existence on earth. Hosea 6 v 2 Psalm 90 v 4 and 2 Peter 3 v 8 is why the Body of Christ is still on earth and why God hasn't vindicated His Holy Name yet. I will always be premillenial because the Body of Christ has nothing in common with saints in Time of Jacob's Trouble. There are so many problems with Tim's argument of No one will be raised before the last day. Problem 1 When did old Testament saints come up. How can Matthew 27 v 52 to 53 happen. Problem 2 Who will appear at the Judgement Seat of Christ. How is Romans 14 v 10 1 Corinthians 3 v 9 to 15 and 2 Corinthians 5 v 10 going to happen. Problem 3. At Marriage Supper of Lamb who will be the Bride of Christ and who will be the wedding guests. Problem 4. Who will accompany the Lord Jesus Christ at Battle of Armageddon in Revelation chapter 19 and Problem 5 Where does a believer go when he or she dies now. See what I mean Xavier. Tim Conway can not answer these questions. Shalom. Peace

    Here’s “an humble attempt,”

to challenge, from a postmill who greatly loves my I’llBeHonest brethren.
Would love if all would read this.
    Before I begin,
It makes me honestly sorrowful when I read Amill and Premill books or listen to their teachings, and they refer to postmills “awaiting some golden age,” when postmillennial theology doesn’t talk that way about itself. We believe the Kingdom has been established, but it was established as a mustard seed and will grow and grow and grow until it reaches such monumental proportions that, metaphorical speaking, birds of the air will be able to nest in its branches.
We are not, as as our beloved brother MacArthur has said, thinking we will “waltz into the Kingdom.” Neither are we, as Conway suggested, just waiting for some “golden age.” We (the church) are advancing, often in imperceptible degrees
.and Christ conquering, waging war with the nations, with a sword coming from His mouth, is a current reality; manifested in the preached Word of God. We have only been in this holy war for two days. Just two days. (2 Peter 3:8). We have much work to do.
Now, regarding the majority of Conway’s presentation, I would agree that in a general sense, there is this age, and the age to come. However, scripture itself is not as dogmatic as Conway is when he acts like that “two age model” is a rigid grid upon which we must interpret EVERY verse of the Bible.
    Look at these verses.
Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages* He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
    - Hebrews 9:26
    Ages. Plural.
so that in the ages* to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
    - Ephesians 2:7
    Future ages (plural) to come.
See, scripture never promises to always use the same word the same way, and when we dogmatically force it to, we limit our ability to be flexible in our interpretations and uncover these mysteries which God has hidden (Proverbs 25:2)
What’s funny is, Conway himself, if you watch his series on eschatology, ardently proclaimed that the “end of the age” spoken of in Matthew 24:3 is CLEARLY not the end of human history, but the end of “the Jewish age” (his words)
And he is correct, Jesus wasn’t talking about the end of human history, he was talking about the cataclysmic end of the Judaic age, which would result in now the Kingdom of God being open to all other nations in the way that in times before only Israel (as a NATION) could be a nation of Yahweh worshippers.
You see, Conway is willing there to say that the Bible speaks in different ways and at different times about “ages.” Sometimes scripture is referencing the ultimate two age model, and sometimes it’s simply not talking about that general reality.
Dogmatically claiming Satan will be god over all of human history, and his spiritual fortresses will never be torn down through the gospel, is just not conclusively proven through this video.
I have much more to write, but I’ll leave you with Matthew 20.
Jesus speaks of the Kingdom having workers hired in later hours, who “do not bear the brunt of the burden nor the scorching heat of day” as did laborers hired in hours (ages/generations) previous.
    We are not there yet.
    Love my Amill brothers.
    In Christ,
    A postmill.

Earth age (including 1000 year reign) and Heaven age? That's what I thought it was. There's just so many things lining-up now that I was taught as a teen in the 1980s would happen in the Great Trib.
-Food shortages and *worldwide* famine, war, pestilence, etc (Rev 6)
-Statue, 10 stories high, that talks ... like the beast they are forced to worship (see "The Giant, moving statue, that they want to put in 21 cities around the world).
-A one world government that reduces world leaders to 10 kings, who give their power to the Antichrist (see WEF and WHO speaking about how we only need one government now, and Prince Charles speaking on giving trillions of dollars to "him" who is the only one to solve world problems).
-Cashless society (see all the talk of crypto, doing away with cash, worldwide).
-Biometric payments (see UK supermarket scanning faces for payment, hand-scanning for payments, Denmark declaring biometricly monitoring purchases, and patents like number 2020060606).
Just so weird that it's all happening at one time, and that these WEIRD things are *possible* all at this time.

The problem is that the 1000 years begins with the binding of Satan, and ends with Satan being loosed for a little season after the 1000 years. The 1000 years ends and time continues. Therefore the 1000 years cannot be symbolic of the time Christ dies till the end. Satan’s binding in ch 20 did not happen on the cross. The 1000 years has a beginning and an ending, then time afterwards. And What Christ did at Calvary is irreversible, and effected all believers in the past and future.

I have a question I wanted to go to church for the longest time to be with other believers the thing is most of the churches in my area either were catholic or preached you must ask Jesus in your heart so I quite going to church . Now a new pastor is pre aching at a church which at use to attend that use to preach you must ask Jesus in your heart now preaches repent and believe but unless I can get a ride I can’t physically go there due to my kids and my husband working because I would need help getting over there I can’t walk there because of health reasons my sugar might go too low if I try walking there plus to walk there with twin girls my question is if I were to tithe to that church would it be like spiritually going?

I think it's important to gather with fellow believers. That said, if there are obviously health issues that prevent you from being there I ln person you might not be able to. Is it possible for someone to give you a ride to church?
I know that happens pretty often at my church when there's a brother or sister who doesn't have a car or has mobility issues.

    • @Norma_Normans
      @Norma_Normans Pƙed 2 lety +2

There are other ways to tithe, such as helping in the local community, purchasing theologically sound books to donate to the jails and libraries, supporting missions. Maybe check and see if the church has sermons posted online (Facebook, their website) and watch a few to get a feel for them. If you are interested further in participating with them, reach out to them and let them know how you want to worship and learn with them but are currently struggling with the ability to travel. Surely someone would enjoy lending a hand, for this is our duty. Try your best to meet with the people, plan schedules ahead and let your family know why you would like to use the car, or perhaps they can drop you off and you can find someone at the church who can give you a ride home to ease everyone’s burden. Your family should make this a priority for you, and themselves.
I understand how hard it can be to find a church that preaches an accurate message. Pray pray pray! God will make a way for you to be where HE wants you. The desire to be with other members of the Church is a godly desire, keep focus on those things. Much love to you Sister. Put it in the Lord’s hands, and while you wait- do not neglect your studies. There are far too many resources available at our fingertips - a gift from above in such times as these, with struggles as these.
