Jesus Taught That Few Find Eternal Life (Matthew

  • Jesus taught that the many on the broadway are the religious people who say, "Lord, Lord." Humanity wants a way to heaven that is easy, and therefore, the truth does not appeal to the religious multitude. The majority want to trust in their works to be saved and not obey the radical commands of Christ.

    Spectacular Message Pastor Tim. You had me at Mathew 5 in the first 3 verses...I knew then I didn't want to miss a Word and I have looked forward to each installment & not missed one. Some things cemented for me..I finally see this is Christ telling us this is what it is to be a true Born Again Believer to take up our Cross and follow HIM. That Jesus does not come into any life to leave it unchanged. That this is what it truly means to die to the olde self and let the Holy Spirit and the WORD of GOD Transform us into a new Creation in the Likeness, Image and Mind of Christ. That as we are Sanctified our life must become unrecognizable from the person we used to be. My life is changed and there is still more to keep humble, our Heart changes, our thoughts change, our Speech changes, our Actions change. It started in me and lead me to these messages to really do an even deeper transforming work in me that continues and I wake up excited every day about what GOD may have in store for me today. I shared some scripture with a lady yesterday that said someone upset her and she knows the Bible says to love our enemy but she can't. I said "I understand it is hard but Christ on the Cross did, He said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". We are called to do the same, we were enemies before we got Saved. She unfollowed me. You know I am so sad for her and pray for her that she sees It's not an option. Christ says we are either for Him, if not we are against Him. At one time I could imagine loving like Christ or forgiving but I am forgiven SO much I must and that the Bible isn't a Smorgersboard we cannot choose whats palatable and just what we like or all willing to do. The Pharisees did that much. GOD Bless All. I am praying for your Church Pastor and your daughter Charity. The times are very serious and we must have our decision for Christ made NOW and be building the foundation in His Word so when the Shaking Comes and it IS we are Anchored in Christ and know exactly where to GO and to Call out His Name and TRUST Him Only. All Glory to GOD!

    As a doctor of theology I enjoyed this preaching, his message is about salvation by faith with works, however many things should be pointed out, this message is only for Christians after they are saved by faith without works, when the human spirit receives eternal life through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The eternal life offered after being saved is now for the soul and body by faith with works, knowing Christ taught this message in Luke 10:25-28 as did James in chapter 1:21 obedience to the Ten Commandments in the heart saves the soul. Also the question of entering the kingdom of God or not entering as a Christian is not about whether Christians go to heaven or not, but is about whether they will enter the millennial kingdom of heaven at the second coming of Christ or whether they will enter the final kingdom of heaven the city New Jerusalem after the millennium. So preach on preacher and stir the hearts of the pure in order to wake up those who are sleeping as the midnight hour approaches.

      @@Rileyed Hi RL Edwards; thanks for the reply, you mentioned debating me, this is something I love doing, but I will ask you to please interpret Luke 10:25-28 the lawyer asked how do I inherit eternal life, what was the answer Jesus gave.
      Second, what does James 1:21 read, how do you interpret that text.
      Please understand I know that faith without works saved us by the gospel, but also understand the gospel does not save my soul or body, only my human spirit, so the bigger question is, how do I get my soul and body saved? Just remember I am open for debate. Thanks

    • @777lilibeth
      @777lilibeth Před 2 lety

      @@Rileyed Hi RL Edwards; I appreciate your response in trying to answer James 1:21 rather than to tell you your answer is wrong, I will just ask a couple of questions, did you consider what was written here about the engrafted word? This cannot refer unto the gospel, by which sinners are saved, knowing that not one Christian has a saved soul today or a saved body. There can only be one interpretation of the meaning concerning engrafted word, that is the Ten Commandments written in the heart. This is known as the new covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and revealed by the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 8:6-13 Now we know that God has not written the gospel in the heart of any sinner or any Christian, everyone both saved and unsaved must learn the gospel and believe it. Therefore; James 1:21 states obedience to the Ten Commandments written in the heart will save your soul. By the way I am not a Sabbath keeper, I fight against the Ten Commandments in stone which today is dead. Concerning your question about the key of David, not sure if you know what this means but I will share with you the light I have on that topic. The kingdom offered to Son of King David is only understood in the Lord Jesus Christ as the son of David. Luke 1:31 The keys of this kingdom, which we call the kingdom of heaven is different than the key of David, as this is the master key to open everything in the kingdom of God, and only the Lord Jesus Christ has possession of this key. Hope that helps my brother in Christ

    • @777lilibeth
      @777lilibeth Před 2 lety

      @@Rileyed Hi RL Edwards, once again thanks for your response, the statement in Luke 10:25-28 and then in Matthew 11:28-29 are two different meanings, for James 1:21 is informing us how the soul gets saved and Matthew 11:28-29 informs us how the soul finds rest, which is also revealed in Hebrews 4:11 Now concerning the salvation of the soul as in James 1:21, only by obeying the engrafted word, which is obeying the Ten Commandments in the heart will the soul be saved. I will ask you a thing, did God write into your heart the gospel, the New Testament, the gospel of the kingdom? Of course not, Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:6-13 testify that God wrote into our hearts only the new covenant, which are the Ten Commandments written in the heart. James 1:21 is saying by obeying the Ten Commandments written in the heart the soul will be saved, this is what the Lord Jesus was saying to the lawyer in Luke 10:25-28 when he asked how do I inherit eternal life, and he answer by faith with works, through obeying the Ten Commandments written in the heart.. This answer saves the soul and body, not the human spirit which is saved by faith without works through the gospel. If you would learn the least commandments from Matthew 5:19, all of these 1,200 commandments teach us to to love God and our neighbor. I will add this thought for you, the book of James teaches 66 least commandments, which 1 Timothy teaches 143 least commandments, see if you can find any of these that I mentioned, afterwards ask yourself with the help of the Holy Ghost to reveal to you each of those commandments individually as to which category they fall under, is the commandment about loving God or loving our neighbor, this is the question before the Lord. This will explain how to get your soul saved. Stay blessed my brother in Christ

    • @777lilibeth
      @777lilibeth Před 2 lety

      @@Rileyed Hi RL Edwards; you mentioned Charles Spurgeon wrote a book on the two woman of Galatians 4:21-31, curious if he was a Baptist at the time he wrote it, or when he left the Baptist faith. Anyway the meaning of the Apostle Paul in these verses about the two woman and their two children are actually five shadows and typologies being used to make up the one allegory. In his teachings the Apostle Paul wrote that the two woman are two covenants and their children follow either the old covenant, this is Hagar or the new covenant, this is Sarah. Now in order to unfold the allegory, one must realize that Abraham represents God the Father, and the two children of Abraham, represent the two children of the Father, Ishmael represents Israel and Isaac represents Christianity. This unfolds by understanding God made two covenants, the old covenant is the Ten Commandments in stone, this is Hagar, the new covenant is the Ten Commandments in the heart, this is Sarah, the two children reveal either Israel the first born son of God, as Ishmael was the first born son of Abraham, and Isaac the second born son of Abraham which is understood as Christianity. The strong rebuke and warning from this is when a Christian who is called in Isaac, decides to go back under the Ten Commandments in stone, he then makes Hagar his mother, therefore when the millennial kingdom of heaven starts, all Christians who follow the Ten Commandments in stone will be cast out and shall not reign with Isaac, who had Sarah for his mother, meaning he kept the Ten Commandments in the heart.

    Can someone pray for me to have God show me where I truly stand? I know for certain I grew up on the broad way. I went to church and participated in all sorts of things, but never cared about God, and as I got into high school I did all sorts of things that the world lives for. Last year, I heard a video about hell and I called out to God to save me. Soon after, I felt so much joy and I no longer wanted to live how I used to and sin anymore. My eyes were open and it all made sense to me. However, weeks later I started to sin in areas I thought the Lord had freed me from permanently, and since then at times I've felt like I'm my old self and it terrifies me. The peace and joy I had felt from God and the freedom He brings, I haven't felt in months and I'm fearful of moving on in the Christian life without dealing with this issue first. I just pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort me again or that God will show me He never actually saved me. Part of me believes I am saved and just not mature yet because I find it impossible now to ignore God, He is always on my mind, but certain sins and lack of obedience since what I thought was legitiamte salvation has troubled me greatly.

    What is the use of entering the narrow way if one have no love? I mean suppose a man gauge his eyes to control lust, or cut his hands and limps for not to sin. Yet if he have no love, he will end up in hell.
    1 Corinthians 13:3:- If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

    .Thank you for this testimony in christ I wish I can say the same but I hate myself and hate how God made me. I am battling really hard and need a word. For some reason reading my bible doesn't take away the pain. I come here not to offend anyone and not to offend a particular race or people. What I will be sharing will be transparent and my own personal issue and thoughts. I will share now:
    I am angry at God by a ton. I didnt ask to exist in this world, not that I want it anyway or to be an eternal being. I feel very stuck. I know God looks at the heart and not the appearance but should that really make me feel better when it is him responsible for why I look the way I do and am the way I am. If say someone was very ugly should they feel comforted that God would tell them its okay I only care for your heart and won't judge you on your appearance when in fact his the one to blame and responsible for that lersons ugliness anyways even if he goes on ahead and says he doesn't care for the look. Isn't he the one responsible for that and not us because we don't really control what we will be.
    I know God looks on the heart of Ken and not how someone looks but it is really true that God does create people who are beautiful on the outside as he deems best and also love Jesus and are beautiful on the inside too, so both. And they go to heaven and still being beautiful as they are always whereas someone like me is butt ugly and works on being beautiful on the inside but will still be ugly in heaven because I just really am naturally so. Its no offense to God but I'd rather be honest to people and to him why I feel this way.
    I have a dream I wanted to be beautiful attractive stunning and a Mexican latina girl, if not that a beautiful lovely white girl, if not that a beautiful gorgeous European girl with a radiant heart sold out for Jesus and be beautiful on the inside. But instead I'm not a pretty latina, I'm not anything I mentioned. I am just an ugly Asian girl. Nothing special about me. Nothing stunning. Just a Filipino and besides being Asian being Filipino, really ugly too. It's hard because I know ultimately even in heaven ill still be Asian ill still be Filipino (if anyone says there's nothing wrong about being Asian that's okay but this is my personal issue and my heart) I dreamt of being a latina a pretty one with a big heart for Jesus but why God makes people who are and has great choices for them and really took his precious time with that people who can also have a heart for Jesus I do not understand. It's hard. I'm Filipino and I have an ugly face. I look sour, I look like I smell like freaking sushi, I have the most slanted eyes and I just look sour and ugly and chinky and have a flat nose and I'm just straight out trash looking it's not a nice feeling. Because of this hurt I really am lonely and sad and have turned to pornogtaphy and masturbation to relief that painful feeling of coming here being this way. I turn to this sins to cope. I know that maybe I have a purpose for why I'm ugly and why God choosed for me to be Filipino to be Asian but if I fulfill that purpose that reason does it ever end after? No ill still be me, still be very ugly, still sour looking Asian Filipino flat face, flat nose, uncomely looking person even up to heaven. And it hurts feeling like you got the unfortunate and you know what you could become what you'd be but that's not it. You know what you could've been and you had that dream but you got the bad end of it so now you are stuck in porn and masturbation and everything you dabble is disgusting because you yourself feel very disgusting. It's a form of pleasure,, coping mechanism but also to self inflict on my body if that makes sense.. you know push and Rachel came from the same parents yet god choosed to make Rachel beautiful and make Leah plain and very unattractive so yes she experienced many hurts from that and feeling rejected something that wasn't her fault but Gods. It wasn't Leah who decided to make herself 7battractive it was God's and it was God's decision to make Rachel splendid too so it's not true that everyone is beautifully made by godI guess I feel really hurt because tbh it was God who made Rachel beautiful and decided to make Leah plain and unattractive what she experienced was just a byproduct of that both sisters came from the same parents so it was what God did and i felt that too being in that situation. It's like God pat Leah's back telling her it's okay if your seen as plain and unattractive and left rejected by people you have him. When in reality it was not her who signed herself up for this she didn't even choose to be ugly it was God's decision to make her sister Rachel stunningly breathtakingly beautiful and her unattractive and left to feel unwanted. There's literal people in this world who are beautiful physically and also are Christians and love God and do have a substance. People beautiful inside and out. I'm sorry to say this but let me be blunt here. God made Rachel and Leah. This two women came from the same parents. It just happened that God choose to make Rachel stunningly beautiful and choose to make Leah the plain unattractive one. All Leah experienced the rejection from people and her husband and her own self rejection was just a byproduct of what God did. It's not like she signed herself up for this. It's not like Leah had any control how she would come out being. It's not like she willingly choose to be the ugly Betty. Yes I'm mad I was in that situation exactly as this two women. Let's not sugar coat it I mean it is what it is women want to be beautiful, women want to be loved but reality is not everyone is beautiful and precious words in scripture even said it about this two characters so how is it any different now? And it can't be Rachel's fault either because we'll god just decided to make her beautiful she was just born into this and was also well loved. She can even have a nice personality. It's just harsh truths you know. That's what god did. There was nothing wrong with Jacob loving Rachel and certainly nothing wrong with Rachel being Rachel. There's people who are ugly and have an ugly heart too. Wat can I say, I am Filipino I'm asian and I don't ever want to be despite people not having problems with it like I'm forced in this. I'm ugly too and have an ugly heart. I hate my soul, spirit, my body, and being myka here in existence but there's nothing to do I'll always be forever. I'm forced to be this person forever and killing myself doesn't cease my existence because I'm me forever even onto eternity. I thank God for deciding to force my existence, I don't Hank him for choosing to make me Filipino for choosing to make me asian forever and ever. I thank him for choosing to make me ugly and worthless and a me and I can get a way with this because it is a forever thing. Yeah thanks god It's long my post now I'm so angry and no one understands. I dont even want to carry out this life I don't want to carry out being me but everyday I'm forced to everyday God drags me to have to be this person I don't want to and I though suicide was the answer then I realize I'll die but my soul, my spirit is still me so I just always am I got dragged and forced by God to exist and I'd want to cease my existence. When people tell you they don't like you because your ugly or your personality or they just hate you yes its their sinfulness because they are human but at the same time it's like yes I understand how you feel people because trust me I don't decide to look like this or have this personality or be this race the me you see is something I wouldn't have wanted either but what was determined for me to be and why do I have to be it. So what's so wrong for a black person to hate being black or for an Indian person to hate being Indian because people do feel that way they get forced into things they have to be forever and ever. What's wrong with me if I would've wanted to come in this world having pale skin, a pretty attractive face,, have a nice body be a Mexican girl, and at the same time have a great personality and most of all be a godly woman but being forced to be something forever that isn't you but you have to identify as words cannot even describe how terrible that feels. Dont tell me im beautiful this and that because I'm not because I'll always hate myself and it doesn't matter how much God loves me it won't drive away the fact I am ugly and I jate all the things he made me to be. I hate he made me Asian he made me Filipino I hatmte my personality, I hate my ugly face and body I hate my soul and spirit because even if my body changes in heaven I'm still my spirit I'm still my soul I'm still myka and I hate it I don't want my entire essence of a human.. it's God who forced me and demanded me to exist and this is causing me pain because I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubbles but it's not true there are people who are attractive and people who are not. When people say everyone's beautiful its not true not everyone is and that's harsh truths but it's as real as it gets. Some people are knockout beautiful and can even be Christians and get mistaken for a model and there are those with no eyes, no kegs, crooked teeth, deformed face flat nose. Etc not everyone is. And why God made beautiful people who can also have a beautiful heart and make some people such as myself who are ugly I don't know I don't know. Some people can be ugly and also havevan ugly heart.. It's not fair and I find myself so angry with God I know I can glow up in heaven but I'm still me and I'll still be Asian there too still be Filipino and still be myka and I think its a curse I never ever wanted this I'm just forced to live it up and be. . Can someone talk to me here. Does anyone understand because this is how my thoughts and heart is. I mean no offense or be racist to anyone my thoughts purely comes from my own personal struggle.

I know Spurgeon is saved but he’s terrible at pointing people in the right direction, because he does that a lot. I understand you sure, but in the end all you must do and are really called to do is to be obedient. Jesus obeyed the Father God perfectly. In every way. Even unto death. God says to do, you do. God says don't do, you don't. Walking in perfect obedience to God leads to a holy life. A life governed by His mighty word. A life where we're honored to obey because we love Him so much. Not for anything in return because God has already given us His greatest gift which is Jesus Christ. The word of God says obedience is better than sacrifice (1Sam. 15:22). So yes sir you are right we must do something. The Holy Spirit doesn't make us do anything. The Holy Spirit leads us in all truth. We must decide to obey or disobey that truth which has been revealed through God's word. That's the beauty of free will. Free to obey or disobey God's commands. We're still free to indulge in the flesh after being saved, but why would you do that? Be like a dog returning to its vomit. A pig to the mire. (2Peter 2:22). I learned to house clean so well because as a kid I loved my mom so much I wanted to impress her when she'd come home from work. I loved her so much and it showed in how detailed the work was done. Is God not much more than her? This temple in which God resides in me must be cleaned more than that. God has cleansed me of so much sin I delight in keeping this body clean for Him. I love Him for keeping His word and conforming me into the image of His son. To me that's a real miracle that God is doing in many lives that's not written in the Bible because that miracle is for this current world to see. The Mighty hand of God at work in the lives of those who have humbled themselves to His will. Jesus said it best," Not my will, but thy will be done." Thank you Lord Jesus for being the best example to follow the Father's will. And with reverence and godly fear Lord continue to lead me in all wisdom that I may strive to please my Father in Heaven. That is what I desire to do. Please you above all. Love you Dad! In Jesus Christ name, Amen.
