Conviction of sin. Realizing you are sinful is critical. I was baptized a couple of times as a kid. Said the sinners prayer. Intellectually I knew I was a sinner, but until I really understood, was really grieved over sin, did it make sense.

100% I was in a decaying church for a few years, was around true believers and sound word and conviction hit me like a brick one day. I decided to follow Jesus no turning back.
      God bless sister.

Everybody needs to revisit the story of the Prophet JONAH preaching to an entire nation of sinners & idolaters living in Nineveh during the time of Babylon. Gives us an IMAGE of effective REPENTANCE. They believed Jonah's warnings about God's imminent Judgement bc they worshipped aquatic Nephilim (fish people = mermen/maids). When Jonah appeared from the belly of a whale, they must have thought he was a fish God lol. So the king ordered all the people to REPENT by wearing SACKCLOTH (goat hair garments) & cover themselves with DIRT, DUST, ASHES. Even the king himself removed his royal garment & his crown & HUMBLED himself in front of The LORD to BEG forgiveness for violating God's Laws & Commandments. Even the livestock were all dressed in SACKCLOTH. By the order of the king, they all GRIEVED & cried bitter tears over their SINS. They actually moved God with this over dramatic demonstration of their fear & reverence towards God. And God TURNED AWAY His Wrath. Bc these wicked people genuinely TURNED AWAY from their Sin. I love that story. Helps to understand the act & attitude of true repentance. It's the OPPOSITE of Sin (Vain Pride vs. Deep Humility). It means we confess our wretchedness & hopelessness (like the thief on the cross) while submitting to the supremacy & perfection of The One True Holy God. You need BOTH sides of the coin. It's not just "WHOA IS ME."

As long as you keep knocking and keep seeking and keep asking him with whole heart and sincerity, you will not be disappointed. Never. He does not turn away from the needy as such. What do I need to do to be saved? How do I trust in Jesus? How do I know if I am believing in Him? Why am I not being saved? I am seeking the Lord for salvation and he is not saving me! Sadly many have stumbled over these questions. In this study, Tim goes to the Bible to see how the Scriptures speak in regards to these most important questions.
0:00 - Question - I am seeking the Lord for salvation.
5:53 - I am trying to figure out how to trust in Jesus.
07:06 - Does the Bible tell us HOW to trust or does it just tell us to trust?
12:23 - Should we ask what does he think about his own sin?
17:38 - Don't ask people to believe something about themselves that might not be true.
21:12 - Some verses on this.
    22:16 - Matthew 3.2
    25:45 - Matthew 7.13
    30:34 - Matthew 9.9
33:10 - Many are waiting to feel something.
37:00 - Don't try to go into some state of euphoria before you believe you are saved.
48:03 - Matthew 10.38 - Die to self and follow Christ.
1:17:14 - I am trying to figure out how to follow Jesus.

@Gamefan86 I remember when I was an atheist. It was a sad time. Suicidal to such an extreme degree in some psychology tests, I was off the charts for self-hatred. It wasn't due to environmental stimulation or a lack of a Nerotransmitter, but because I knew that if life is pointless, why am I alive? Then, I started reading and understanding scripture. I've tested it time and time again, and it has never failed. I've opened the word and told it give me a reason to call you a liar, and it hasn't produced one. I've looked to Charles Darwin to Dickenson. No one has given a good reason to explain the fall of Trye and how accurately it was predicted. Nor the autopsy of the body of Christ and how he was going to die 1000s of years before it happened. I have tested some of it and can not find fault either. It is clear to me that your asment isn't because you do not believe it. It is because you want a reason not to deal with Him. Your theory of why the bible is a metamorphic is rather weak at best. So please do better if I was at my computer I'd cite the changes of calendars throughout the years and how Apollo (sun) and the Greek word for son are no where near the same spelling style but rather a flaw in English. Please stop fighting what you know is true.

Excellent Pastor! Very astute This young man wants assurance that he is saved! It taken the focus off Belief in Christ but belief in himself being saved. I know many who ask over and over again thinking they are supposed to have and experience or a FEELING to confirm to them they are SAVED. Precisely We must NEED Christ and seek Him as if our life depends on it because it does! Taking up my Cross means I die to my self will and desire GOD's will.

You are confusing Salvation and Service. Go to Onorato Diamante on CZcams to hear the true gospel.
      God made Salvation so simple.
We are sinners who deserve death! God sent his only begotten Son to die for us and all he asks of us is to believe in Jesus and what he did for us. Jesus followed the law and lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day. The will of the Father is to believe on the Son.
Repent means to change your mind about whatever you believed before and believe in Jesus.
Don't be Deceived by the false gospel of works that says Repent "of your sins" Read the King James Bible (KJV)
The people of Nineveh REPENT by Believing in God.

9 Who can tell if God will turn and REPENT, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
10 And God saw their WORKS, that they turned from their evil way; and God REPENTED of the evil, that he said that he would do unto them; and he did it not?

A little caution with saying there isn’t anything experienced when an individual first truly believes: The Holy Spirit completely changed my desires around within one well defined moment when I first believed. Immense grief over what I had done, but also believing what Jesus did. Now, there has still been continued growth since then, but I wouldn’t restrict God’s power to change a person’s heart from stone to flesh and write laws on it to something that can’t happen in an instant. Not that a person will be suddenly mature in an instant, but that what God said He would do He is doing. Changing hearts of stone to hearts of flesh. Life.
There are beliefs that I had after that moment that I later found in scripture everywhere- things I had never read previously. Things that went completely against my lifestyle just minutes prior. I knew nothing of scripture. How did my desires match up to scripture several weeks and months before I had read it, unless something supernatural occurred?
I think the question is: do some people truly believe immediately, and do some people THINK they truly believe immediately upon hearing the gospel, and over time discover that they didn’t?
What I received was a brand new heart that was disgusted by my previous sin, all of my sin since then. A desire to do battle against it, repent, and run to Christ.
It’s interesting that people imagine God has less power and sovereignty than most people’s parents these days.

This is speaking to that question of feelings & emotion being the qualifier and we know it’s not. If you listen to the entire teaching that would be obvious Pastor never denied a change from regeneration occurs when the Holy Spirit is imputed to the SAVED believer by Faith. That brings changes in our lifestyle and choices. He’s very clear on that point. It is not however a state of changing emotion it is a Spiritual state that indeed include feelings or not include them. It’s Trust that comes by Faith a knowing.

I have been thinking about this a lot. Here's my conclusion. We are supposed to be X. We strive to be X but we fail to be X. Recognizing this takes humbleness. When you recognize you are not living up to the moral standards it makes the process of becoming better possible. If you are proud you can not continue the process. This is why God said he is against proud people. The change is now possible.
Now that we have recognized our failure we repent. When we repent we take the first step of becoming a new human being. We actively wish to be better. Because I am no longer the person who is comfortable with the idea of doing (insert sin) I can be forgiven. The repent has to be genuine. In other words the wish to be morally full human being must be genuine.

    I have a question
I think i agree with what is said here, but this sounds like a vague works-faith salvation, where i have to believe in and follow Jesus to be saved. What i mean is that 1) my needing of jesus (believing that he can meet my need (chiefly, the need of righteousness)) doesn't seem to be the cause of salvation in an individual (if it is, then i apologize for my error), and 2) that any failure to stay on the narrow road (i.e. sin) would seem to cause me to lose my salvation (you can't believe that Jesus will meet your needs and simultaneously sin in order to get your needs/wants met).
Could anyone give some clarity on what he is saying? Thanks and God bless you.
Also, to those who worry that they don't feel enough need for Jesus to be saved; our desire isn't the basis of salvation, it's what Jesus did. Keep following him, even when you don't feel like it.

@@JMRabil675 Brother/sister in Christ, God bless you.
But I'm not sure that is what he is saying.
1 John 1:8 says that the one who says they have no sin (this includes Christ-followers) is lying to themselves:
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
Verse 9 says that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
So, the one who sins has forgiveness in Christ. We can always turn to him for that forgiveness, even when we are saved.
We were saved by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and not by works. Otherwise, that grace is no longer grace:
"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
      Romans 11:6 KJV
So, if someone says that they have never sinned after they were saved, they are lying to themselves (1 John 1:10). However, when we sin, the blood of Jesus cleanses and forgives us (1 John 1:7).

Very simple! Believe that Jesus came, lead a perfect life, died on the cross for You, He rose again from the dead - all according to the scriptures!
It's by grace we're saved! God has given us eternal life when believe in the finished work that Jesus did for us on the cross! He took our sin upon Himself. Past, present and future! (ALL of our sins were future when Christ died.)
Once saved, you're always saved! You're sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise until the day of redemption!
It's that easy! No sinner's prayer (I did that for MANY years and daily and didn't feel saved, I still had my sins lingering over me..) Hearing the Gospel saved me! I believed in Jesus, but I didn't know that it was His work on the cross, His forgiveness of my sins that saves me! I no longer worry about my past sins! Jesus makes them white as snow and is far as the east is from the west!
God's word sets us free! Be free today! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior for taking your place on the cross! He paid for our sins. The bible says that for the wages of sin is death. But since Jesus took our place, we're no longer afraid of judgment that's to come upon the wicked (very soon I might add) and look forward to eternal life with Jesus! Praise God!
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us! - Believe the Gospel and ye shall be saved!
    God Bless!

They don't know they are sick and need Jesus. They are trying to fix themselves. The first step is to confess they are hopeless in their sin and need help. They need to cry out for help instead of figure out how to get saved. Jesus does the saving. They only need to turn and trust in Him. Throw yourself at the mercy of God. He will rescue you.

The confusion from this guy who asked the question comes from listening to comitment salvation preachers like conway who add other things besides faith alone for salvation. So its mass confusion because they never quantify exactly what and how much needs to be added to faith.

You will be saved by allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you how to stop sinning.
Very few believers understand that a person is not born again until they have allowed the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to transform them into someone who no longer sins. Scripture makes it very clear that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and anyone who is born of God does not and cannot sin. Now even though God commanded us not to sin there are billions in this world who foolishly believe that they can never stop sinning. So realize that the vast majority of believers certainly are not Christians because most have never allowed the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to sanctify their hearts in God’s one and only truth in order to overcome their sins. And just because someone may claim to believe in Jesus Christ does not make that person a Christian either since even sinful demons also believe in Jesus Christ.
“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
    ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭NKJV
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“HE WHO SINS IS OF THE DEVIL, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. WHOEVER HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, for His seed remains in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he has been born of God.”
    ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ESV
Now the main reason that the majority of believers are so lost and deceived is because they have chosen to seek their knowledge of God from the many false religions and preachers of this fallen world instead of learning God’s truth directly from Jesus Himself. Many of them have clearly overlooked the fact that Jesus is alive and He commanded us to follow Him.
Through His sacrifice on the cross Jesus gave us the ability to hear God’s voice and learn God’s truth directly from Him through His Holy Spirit that will dwell inside anyone who truly understands and believes. Most believers are not able to hear the voice of Jesus Christ though and this is because they did not comprehend the importance behind testing the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4 while others do not understand how it is even done.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭16:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-18‬ ‭NKJV‬
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”
    ‭‭I John‬ ‭4:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Scripture relates that Jesus is the same always and that He will be with us until the end of age. Jesus did not sin of course and Jesus never got sick because sin and sickness is strictly of the devil and since Jesus never changes this is why Jesus still heals even today. Scripture clearly relates that sin will bring sickness into our lives but scripture also reveals how it is possible for a believer to stop sinning. Anyone who is truly being guided by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ is no longer living by the desires of their sinful flesh and they cannot possible sin nor can they ever get sick since they are now a child who has born with the Spirit of God. So realize that anyone who truly possesses the Holy Spirit and who is truly allowing the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to guide them in their life cannot possibly sin since they are now being guided by the Spirit of God who is Holy and pure and who cannot sin.
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
    ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
“But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭5:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God does not lie so Jesus would have never instructed the man that He had healed to sin no more if it were impossible for the man to stop sinning. Plus what this above scripture is clearly revealing is how it was the man’s sin that brought the devils afflictions into his life. This is why Jesus warned him that if he did not stop sinning then a worse affliction could come upon him.
“Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107:17‬ ‭NKJV‬
‬Know what this scripture means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. So this scripture is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.
Now in Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Every type of sickness is definitely listed as a curse so any sickness in your life clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture and you are disobeying God.
“If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:58-61‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Next, God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. This is why the devil can no longer put his afflictions on anyone who is truly born of God since they are now someone who is being guided by God’s Holy Spirit and they can no longer sin.
“And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:25-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many do not realize that there are no scriptures that ever relate that a sinner belongs to God or that a sinner is a child of God. There are no scriptures that ever relate that a believer will always sin or that a believer can never stop sinning. There are no scriptures that ever relate that sickness would be a normal part of this life or that a Christian would possess sickness in their life.
There is only one truth from God, one and one alone and the rest is all lies that the deceived chose to believe. Sadly, more then 95% of believers are destined to perish since they continue in a life of ignorance and sin and this is mainly because they did not understand how to allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify their hearts in God’s one and only truth.
“And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭ESV
In closing, I can certainly testify to what I have revealed in this message because I am someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this lifetime by allowing the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to sanctify my heart in God’s one and only truth through testing the Spirits.

I believe that most of what you have said is true save one thing: There was a man who was blind from birth who through no fault of his own or any of his ancestors was afflicted, and Christ very plainly says that it was for the glory of God. Namely, so that God may show how his hand can minister to every need, no matter the circumstances or the need. I once believed even as you did, that nobody can get sick of they have the Spirit of Life in them. It wouldn't make sense, UNLESS we were in a body that must still undergo change from this finite glory to the infinite glory of the risen body of Christ. Again the master said that, in the world you SHALL have tribulation. Tribulation does not only include temptation but it may also include the things that came upon Job, wherein he was greatly afflicted, but God was the one who allowed it for his name sake and to prove the Devil wrong, in that His works are everlasting and sure, not fallible and temporary like the works of the Devil.

@@xavierthomas5835 tribulation does not mean scripture. It means dealing with ignorant and wicked souls like yourself who do not understand scripture.
Some people foolishly believe that God allows people to get sick in order to display His glory and they often use the scripture in John 9 about the man being born blind.
In John 9 the disciples already knew that sin was the reason that the man was born blind but they wanted Jesus to pinpoint who’s sin actually caused the blindness. Jesus did not desire to pinpoint who’s sin caused the disability to His disciples and so He simply made a generalization statement that told them how things were going to turn out so that God could be glorified. Scripture relates over and over how sin will bring sickness and death into our lives and Jesus did not say that it was not sin that caused the man’s blindness. He simply stated that it was neither the man nor his parents sin who caused it and so it could have been the grandparents sin or someone else for that matter.
Now just ask yourself this one question. Why would a God who loves you and who desires to heal you want to make you sick to begin with? By claiming that God allows someone to get sick simply to display His glory you are then trying to say that God makes people sick simply to show off! You are basically claiming that God is some kind of cold hearted beast that plays favoritism. Sickness is a curse and all you need to do is read Deuteronomy 28:58-61 to prove as much.
We are all born in sin and ignorance since we live in a sinful fallen world that is ruled by the devil. Scripture clearly relates why a child may be born blind, sick or whatever. It may have been that the parents or the ancestors were not following what God commanded and so they were living in sin. When parents live in sin they then give Satan and his demons the ability to infect their children with whatever sickness or disability they desire. What foolish doctors like to call hereditary or genetics is actually nothing more then a parent’s sins being passed onto their children through a demon spirit. Look here:
“And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
      Exodus‬ ‭34:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬
Many foolish souls believe that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness and these people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. So just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit.
“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
      ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did no harm to him how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? Many people are deceived in their beliefs and they do not understand that Paul’s infirmity was a physical weakness or ailment and it definitely was not a sickness.
Now allow me to give you a couple of other scriptures that misguided souls often like to use. (1 Timothy 5:23 and Galatians 4:13.) Realize that most of these people are probably reading from a bible version that has translated the word infirmity into meaning a sickness. Look here:
“Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.”
      ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭5:23‬ ‭NLT‬
“No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.”
      I Timothy‬ ‭5:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬
“Surely you remember that I was sick when I first brought you the Good News.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NLT
“You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first.”
      Galatians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬
There are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different translations, words with different meanings and this is what is leading many of you astray. Once again, an infirmity means a physical weakness but yet certain bible versions have translated this to mean a sickness. This is why the only truthful way for you to gain your knowledge of scripture is to learn it directly from Jesus Himself through testing the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4.
Next, some foolishly think that scripture clearly states that God makes people sick and they will use this scripture here.
“The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?”
      Exodus‬ ‭4:11 NIV‬‬
So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But now I want to give you another Bible version and show you how that reads:
“So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?”
      Exodus‬ ‭4:11 NKJV‬‬
When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God loves us and He wants us to be healthy for He is the God who heals us. So once again, why would a loving God who loves us desire to make us sick or disabled?
Now there are many ignorant souls who will try to use Job and others from the Old Covenant to justify sickness in their lives since they will say that Job was a righteous man who was sick? Yes Job certainly did live righteously but they overlook a very important thing. Job and all the others from the Old Testament were born in sin and ignorance just as we all are and these foolish people reveal that they do not even understand the difference between the Old and the New Covenant. Job was from the Old Covenant where there was no forgiveness of sins since Jesus had not come yet and so Job still possessed sin in his life even though he lived righteously.
And finally, some will claim that God does heal but that His healing is not for everyone. Again this reasoning makes absolutely zero sense. Scripture clearing states that we are not to show partially or favoritism and that to do so is a sin. So why would God then sin by showing favoritism or partiality by picking and choosing who He desires to heal? Jesus healed everyone who came to Him for healing and His apostles also did the same.
“And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, AND THEY WERE ALL HEALED.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭5:14-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So I have now given you many examples of how misguided believers are and how they cannot comprehend that God’s healing is for everyone! Most simply will not believe that it is sin that brings sickness into our lives and they deny the very words spoken by Jesus Himself.
“Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.
God commanded us to live a holy and righteous life which can only be achieved by overcoming sin and I can certainly testify that this is possible.
“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
      ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NKJV

romans 7:15-20. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
yes we can sin as Christians, yes we have the power of the Holy Spirit now so we are free from sin and dont have to, we still have our flesh, our flesh desires the wrong because it is still in a sin nature. paul puts it pretty clearly there, he does what he doesnt want to (speaking as his desires have changed because of God to desire those good things) and he doesnt do what he should do.
yes we are supposed to not sin, 100%
paul also says it in romans 6:1
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”
then he says his famous quote “God forbid”.
we arnt supposed to sin just because we can and use Gods grace so that it can abound, but if we truly have a change of heart towards sin and our desires have changed for God yes we will sin less (because we understand what it is, it put Jesus on the cross). but we still have our “old man” as paul puts it.
we need Gods grace and help everyday to get through temptation, its a battle, why he calls the Bible a sword and also has armor named, because we are still fighting
i appreciate your opinion, would love to see a response. im glad you have overcome sin! we are more than conquerors through Him, we can definitely win the fight.
question, did peter get saved? i mean he denied Jesus, paul writes a letter and addresses some of his problems, Jesus tells him to get behind me satan. but also God did great work through him, amazing things… you let me know what you think….

Jesus allowed Himself to be sacrificed on the cross in order to give us the opportunity to repent of our sins and then learn how to overcome our sins through the gift of His Holy Spirit and it certainly was not a free pass for you to continue in a life of sin. Jesus was born without sin and He lived His entire life without sinning. Everyone else is born in sin but this does not means that we cannot overcome our sins and learn how to stop sinning. Sinning is a choice and those of us who truly possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ will learn how to overcome our sins and live the Holy and righteous life that God commanded us all to live.
He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:7-9 NKJV‬‬
So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God. Scripture also relates that whoever sins is of the devil. Lastly, whoever abides in God and is born of God cannot sin and does not sin so this is a child of God like me! Anyone who believes that they can never stop sinning is simply a deceived believer who does not understand a thing in regards to scripture or the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. Many do not understand that we are all born in sin and that God commanded us to overcome our sinful life so that we would then start living a holy and righteous life. This is why we needed a savior to teach us how to stop sinning and this is exactly what Jesus, Peter, Paul and John are relating to us in scripture.
The children who live in sin and who belong to the devil often like to use Paul as their justification for their sinful life. These lost souls are so deceived that they cannot comprehend what Paul was relating in scripture and so they twist the meanings of Romans 3:10, 3:23 and 7. They fail to realize that in Romans 7 Paul was relating how hard it was for him to stop sinning in his previous life since he was living under the law. He then related how he was freed from following his sinful flesh by truly knowing Christ and living through His Spirit. These clueless souls are clearly overlooking how Paul related that he had died to sin and that he was no longer a slave to sin in Romans 6 and they also overlook how Paul related that if you continue to live by your sinful flesh instead of living through the Spirit then you will certainly die in Romans 8.
“So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:4-6‬ ‭NIV
“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:5-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
In regards to Romans 3:10 Paul is simply relating that none of us are righteous since we are all born in sin and this is why we needed a savior to teach us how to stop sinning. Romans 3:23 is actually stating the same exact thing since it is relating how we are all born in sin and so we all are falling short of the glory of God.
The children of the devil often try to justify their sin by claiming that the apostles were sinners themselves and they will often use the scripture where Peter denied Jesus as their justification. So did the apostles all sin at some time in their lives? They most definitely did since everyone is born in sin and in ignorance of truth. Now did Peter sin when he denied Christ? He most certainly did but many overlook how this occurred before Peter was sanctified in truth. Next, did Peter sin when Paul corrected him in Galatians 2? No he did not since Peter was following the Old Covenant laws that he was raised under and Paul was simply revealing how their old custom traditions should no longer apply under God’s New Covenant.
All of the apostles were sinners who willingly followed the teachings of Jesus and everyone except Judas allowed Jesus to sanctify their hearts in God’s truth and teach them how to overcome their sins. This is why God then used them as His messengers and He gave them His power to heal. Read John 17:6-23 where Jesus prayed for His disciples sanctification to prove what I relate. Another thing that deceived believers overlook is how scripture relates that God does not hear the prayers of sinners.
“Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭9:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So since God and scripture never lie then how could Peter and the other apostles perform the healing miracles that they did if they were still sinners and God was not listening to their prayers?

To believe is to trust. When you trust someone, you have evidence of truth or evidence for confidence in what trust in. The evidence is the Resurrection. The fulfilled prophecies are evidence. The changed lives of those bringing the gospel is evidence. Christ earned our trust in His coming in fulfillment of prophecy, His perfect life lived and given as a sacrifice on the cross to remove the curse of the law (you sin, you die), and His Resurrection. Proof. Your confidence when you obey, as preached on the day of Pentecost when the Apostles were asked 'what shall we do" and they said "repent Avery one of you, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Now read Roman's 6 and 8.

A lot of the confusion comes from Calvinism. Calvinism teaches that faith is work. The truth is you hear the gospel and you either choose to believe it or you choose to reject it. Faith is not works. So if you put your faith in Him you are saved. It's not your works to put faith in Jesus

It is not that "Calvinism" promotes the idea that faith is works. It is the idea that if you say that you got your own faith by yourself and that God did not give it to you, you are lying against the truth because to say this would be to imply that though God made the way, inevitably you saved yourself by making the right choice. God grants you to seek him in a sincere heart and to believe what he is telling you. If I were to tell you that I forgive you for some offense and you still felt guilty, then what I have told you has not been effective. But this is pale in comparison to God, who changed our very way of thinking and desires through his word alone. He says what shall be and it becomes that. Even so it is with the heart of men.

Good way to look at it. God saved his people from Egypt. That had nothing to do with what they did. They didn't save themselves. But along the way to the promise land they encountered hardships many of them said they had a better life back in Egypt And fell away. So like that God saved us from sin and death. That had nothing to do with what we did. But in this life we will have hardships like resisting temptation or persecution from others. See were still on our way to the promise land. Some may say man look at these other people not being persecuted and they do whatever they want and they have it good. Some may fall away. But only those who are faithful and endure to the end will be saved. If you fall ask for forgiveness never give up. Also read or listen to the Bible at least some every day. That will help you separate from sin and stay obedient. God bless.

Words, words, words? They for themselves are meaningless. I think every person that has ever considered Christianity, has looked for a way, a path as it were from a place they are not content, to a place where they are. A place of joy, safety, security, as seems to be the promise given?
Imagin a person locked up in a prison, everyday the person is walking along side guards that also spend their days in that place but they go home at night? That prisoner is likely looking for a way out? How is it that the guards can come and go and they can’t?
Its not the bars and concrete? It’s a declaration from an authority? Even if they found a way to get out of that prison, they would still not be free? So, is the person asking to get out of prison or is the person asking why am I here and how do I change that condition?
What is freedom? Better to be locked in a box with Yashua than traveling the globe on a yacht, drinking Champaign, parting with the beautiful people, buying and selling Islands?
Better to be on that cross with Him than standing at the foot of it?
For two thousand years people have been asking what Christianity is, how it works, what do I do to be saved? Mostly they address those questions to the (church) what they think is the church? Would you ask a pharisee? In their day they were the (church) as it is generally represented today….the religious authorities, the gate keepers, or so they claimed? But the Church the Church of Christ was built by Him and He said on this rock?
    What rock???
The roman catholic (church) says Peter? He was the first Pope they are the only direct and continuous link to him so they are the (church) WOW…..words?
Blessed are you for this was not revealed to you by man but by God (and I am paraphrasing) But this is the rock, a relationship with God.
Freedom in God is freedom to be with God.
A man can sit in a building (church) sing songs, listen to a sermon, become convicted that he needs to do better in the coming week? Be morally improved by the experience? Raise more socially conscientious children, from the act of being religious…..know everything there is to know (about) God and never spend a single moment in Gods presence? Never have a relationship with….WITH God?
Salvation from what? From that…..from being my own god, my on ultimate authority?
So if you make God your God? is He, or are you, the final word? I ask because I hear make God the Lord of your life?
What gets you freedom is to be in relationship with Him……and most, from what I can tell, have never actually encountered Him, nor expect to; in fact, to consider that seems to many a step past sanity?
Sure there are some people out there that are clearly living with an imaginary relationship, an imaginary friend? That does not mean God isn’t real? or that He must only be concept and never personal?
People will say scripture says believe and I do? People make faith out to be belief. But why do people believe a thing? The word in scripture as written is πίστις/Pistos?
Translated into both faith and belief when we read it in English? But what was the word meant to convey?
Paul tells us how we come to this Pistos/ πίστις; again what he told us was translated? I trust Paul to know and to explain the what, how, why, of salvation, but I don’t know the person that did the translation?
    Here is what Paul said?
ἄρα ἡ πίστις ἐξ ἀκοῆς, ἡ δὲ ἀκοὴ διὰ ῥήματος Χριστοῦ. I know Paul is telling us about faith/belief here, you can see πίστις in the text.
    This is translated?
So faith from hearing - and hearing through (the) word of Christ.
Back to the guy going to (church) every week? He owns and brings a bible with him? He must have read it through cover to cover at least ten times, and had heard it preached…dissected….picked through; its that he goes to (church) for; so what’s the problem? Believing through the word????
    ῥήματος (rhēmatos) is the problem!
This is what is wrong with two thousand years of (church) this is what Yashua built HIS Church on, this is Faith ….saving faith ….
When we read for you are saved by grace …. Through faith …. This is that faith?
ῥήματος (rhēmatos) Paul used ῥήματος again just as with πίστις you can see it in the text….
ἄρα ἡ .....πίστις..... ἐξ ἀκοῆς, ἡ δὲ ἀκοὴ διὰ ….. ῥήματος ….. Χριστοῦ.
I don’t speak Greek and I don’t imagine you do either, maybe you do? Even so I do know some words in Greek; one of them is λόγος (logos) Yashua John says is the (Word) λόγος?
Paul could have used the same word along with πίστις? So why didn’t he? Why ῥήματος (rhēmatos)?
& why isn’t this talked about by the (church)?
Rhēmatos is speech; a spoken, and consequently heard word?
Paul is saying the way to come to a belief in God that saves you is be a personal encounter and subsequent relationship with God?
Naturally there are crazy people that hear voices….and there are other voices one can hear beyond the fictional. There are powers in high places that direct the affairs of men and they are the true enemy?
So we are instructed to carefully examine the voice we receive to know if it is from Christ?
But we cannot be in a relationship with someone we have only ever heard of….OF and never from….FROM?
I don’t think just hearing Him is a guarantee of salvation. I am convinced Balaam did know God, but wanted gold more. Scripture tells us to examine our heart?
Do we truly want to be loved? Known? You can’t actually be loved without being known? You can’t have love without truth? You can’t be in a relationship without an authority?
All scripture is speaking to our being in relationships with God and others? That’s what we were created to be, to do?
Is that really what we want?
Or is sex with the best-looking girl on the yacht, power, the party. The praise of men what floats our boat?
Is sex better than love? If it is then we should be looking for the sexiest and most beautiful girl/guy we can find and be with? If its love then physical beauty is not important? Now that is just a fact…..examin your heart?
For me physical beauty is important? There are other things to consider as well. Pay someone a complement and watch the response….do they genuinely light up? Most do….do you? Is the praise of men a pleasure?
Many talk about salvation, but I wonder how many are speaking of salvation in Yashua?
Hell might find you on that yacht? An eternity of meaningless empty sex? I wouldn’t be surprised by that. What won’t be found in hell is relationship, truth, love, God?

I guarantee you this video grieves the Holy Spirit! Just give the person the gospel already! Give them the gospel. Explain what biblical repentance and trust in Christ means. They will either have genuine repentance and faith in Christ or they won’t. They will say as some did to Paul at Mars Hill. It says some believed. But some said they would hear him again in this matter.
Nowhere in Scripture does anyone ask how to be saved and the minister pontificates and rambles for 1 1/2 hours.
The Ethiopian eunuch for example. Phillip said “do you know what you’re reading? He said I have no one to teach me. He showed him from Isaiah and the Scriptures who Christ was and what the gospel is- then he trusted in Christ and they looked for water to baptize him. Simple.
Scripture says the angels in heaven rejoice over one sinner who repents. It doesn’t say the angels in heaven rejoice when a person goes through 12 weeks of classes on the Westminster Confession. Come on people!!
Preach the gospel. In season and out of season. Proclaim it. Don’t turn it into a seminary class! This is another example of how Calvinism pulls people away from the simplicity of the gospel.
I’m not Arminian. I have a middle position. But from my experience most Calvinists are more full of Calvinism than they are of Christ. It’s quite sad.
