- Tonight on #TBWD the Speyside Balvenie Week of Peat 14yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky Story #02 is opened and reviewed. Colin and Malcolm journey through movie, song, and farm as they explore this unique offering from Balvenie. With hints of compost, citrus, and bubbles the guys find a sweet pairing by having a small piece of Pineapple. Again, they set expectations aside and enjoy what they find. Outstanding as always guys. The Balvenie 12 old double oak got me into Scotch decades ago. I have loved most all of their releases since and I have had a dram of this bottle and loved it. My tastes has moved on to Islay whiskeys since but I love the fact they "experiment" at least once a year just see what they can do outside the envelope/box. Kudos to Balvenie and others for being so bold. Thank you and keep up the great work. Cheers...
Right, it's fun to have whisky's from distilleries that break their 'mold' and try new things...sometimes they work out, sometimes, not so much. But this one...it worked! Cheers mate! 🥃

I’ve got a week of peat story 2 and a peat week 2003 both unopened sadly. Love everything Balvenie does so very much looking forward to cracking those open some day. Cheers guys
