Love it. I have this frame in my living room, can't wait for the day to bring it to my LBS to build up once rest of parts arrive. For now I'll keep searching online for more brassy/cobalt SL7 content!
Nick. I feel sorry for what you are going through. Conflict is very confusing and tricky. Different view, opinion, knowledge, intention and etc. It is even harder to close the gap via social media. I wish you would spend your time on solving and closing the gap between you and Michael instead making and posting the video. Obviously it won't solve the issue. If you have an intention to broadcast your name and business name through noise marketing, then it seems it works. Otherwise and also if you stand firm on what you insist by "Specialized venge frame and Sworks venge frame are same", i reckon you get the bicycle back from him and try to sell it for $11k stating "Specialized Venge frame but paint Sworks". Also as a business owner of drop cycle, i hope to see your great generosity considering michael as one of your lovely client who made a complaint on his purchase. You wouldn't make and post a video talking about your clients even if the client is upset. I don't understand what makes difference between your client and Michael. Life is too short to condemn, criticize and complaint on anything. I hope you (as a professional in this field) handle the matter in positive and professional manner.
@@thedropcycling can't understand why the reverse wrap isn't used more often on builds using the Aerofly handlebar it gives a way better finish and you don't have to use that nasty black electric tape... I know it may not last as long but damn it does look a lot better... in my humble opinion...
Another killer build! Love the colour way on the frame as it’s different. BTW I’m claiming first call on buying TDC merch. Like the T shirt, subtle and classy👌
Beautiful build. I saw you using different lubes and pastes. For example for the bottom bracket area, the axles and before attaching the brake rotors. Can you elaborate which products you use where and why?
Nice bike, excellent parts & wrenching....hideous kindergarten paint-job! Still hoping for some more outdoor riding vids in the glorious Melbourne sunshine and cycling terrain.
beautiful bike and build. Weight wise I'm surprised to see that these modern bikes are quite an amount 'heavier' than my 14/15 year old BMC pro machine, with regular alu parts, campa record 10sp, bora G3 wheels. 6,8kg. Never really focused on building it as light as possible.
Great video, I just bought a frame and I am going to built a bike. What is the tube sleeve shown at 3:75 for? Where should it sit? I am guessing that it sits inside the downtube and keep the rear brake line from making noise?. Tell us what grease you used for the BB please !!!. Nice build.
Well made and great camera work. Just a little suggestion, take a look at how to record sound. The scrapings, metals and tool on plastic makes for some pretty sharp sounds. Take a look our rather listen to Gee Milner. The mechanical sounds are pretty subdued.
@theDropCycling hey mate, how many spacers did you use on the BB? also does the brake line rub on the crank? Also did you put a wedge in on the FD? Thanks! Look forward to doing my build :)
Balancing wheels hasn't come to the cycling industry yet. It's probably not that big of a deal since the rotating mass is much less than that of a car wheel. Almost all bike wheels are unbalanced...
Why are people who use so many punctuations so stupid???????????????????????? The DT Swiss PRC 1400 weigh 1671 grams, the original rapide 1380 grams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That are 32 mm Schwalbe one pro and not the 26mm turbo cottons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The saddle weighs also more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok this was a custom build Jon. Now I have rebuilt it with dura ace groupset. Dura ace powermeter, dura ace pedals and roval clx 50 wheels weighs 7.1kg
Clamped top tube, tightened seatpost wedge with a ball end P handle wrench, and put 30mm of spacers under the stem of a racing geo bike all in the first two minutes. I can't...

A work of art! DT Swiss wheels are bullet proof! I use them for my mountain bike and road bikes.
Yes, they are. Easy to service as well.
Flash.....great build nice ride!
Very impressed with your bike building capabilities. Would love to have a mechanic nearby with your skillset.
What a bike and a build, thing of beauty. Guest appearance by the cat too.👏👏👏

Torque wrench that has max capability of 14nm but the Sram AXS cranks require 54nm.. I’m not great at maths but..

Nice. Surprised the ceramic bb did not spin longer
me too
It will after break-in. It needs some time untill everything runs smooth and easy just like conventional bearings.
🥰🤘 so good
16:42, what causes the cyclic swinging of the frame and uneven sound during fast freewheel? Is it a wheel balance/alignment issue?
don't think there is any issues there

7.3 kg with out pedals or bottle cages it’s a hippo but it looks the dogs 🐕
2:22 Omg that poor stem. So sad😢😔
Won't that damage the stem? As carbon fiber?
That's probably a stem that's solely used for guiding the saw in a straight line.
I had no idea the SL7 had a threaded BB.Now I really feel like I’ve lost touch with what is cool and new... and old and better
So much better
Not sure about the paint job but looks like a speed machine.
What is the piece on the back of the seatpost that you swapped?
designed to fit Shimano di2 junction box
