New version of the system is out with Opti-UPS DS1000E PF1. CyberPower should not be used as it overheats and starts smelling even after 300W prolonged (1hr+) load.

Did you follow a guide for this? Seems hard to find info online about doing this with that model and I would really like to

Nope, just looked at the UPS, found it's 24V battery pack of 12V x 2 serialized, found the UPS is using AWG 10 wire. Ran the calculation for maximum current (900W / 24V = 37.5A). Got appropriate connectors for 10 AWG wire and 37.5A current, got batteries, got caddies, got voltmeters, connectors crimpers and just assembled everything together.

How long will this run at capacity? I have an old one that needs updating now that my "space station" computer needs have expanded but I want it to have enough juice to last a while if I am not around to turn it all off quickly.

This system should not be run at capacity or even close to it. This UPS almost melted after running for close to an hour running at less than 300W. Internal components overheat at prolonged inversion.
I've upgraded to Opti-UPS DS1000E and new video is out.

@@ArcadiyIvanov Thanks for the responce. Trying to find a good solution because out power is horrible and does not maintain proper voltages here.
