I really miss my grandmas cooking her and grandpa were share croppers always had a big garden they called it a truck patch and she canned from the garden no running to the store you opened a jar loved her chicken and dressing and dumplings I’m so hungry I could eat a small pig 😁

I am excited to try your bowl method. I've made good Biscuits for years but have always wanted to try that method. I did adjust my recipe today to cook it hotter at the 500 temp, and they were fantastic! Thank you!
I have stopped being scared and started making dough like this. My 8 year old daughter has decided she loves dumplings without chicken in them. I buy packaged chicken broth, heat it while making the dough. I pinch the dumplings off. I tried rolling them out , but she likes them better fluffy. I have made biscuits a couple times for her and my son when he visits. Thank you so much Ms. Brenda for encouraging all of us to cook like Momma and Grandmother.
Aloha Ms Brenda! I too am a member of that community. Wonderful people and recipes. I posted some biscuits I made using your formula. Just I had to use a solid plant based fat due to family members who no longer can eat things like butter. They still tasted really good!
This is exactly the way my great grandmother, and my grandmother used to make biscuits. I make them the same way; I’m just not great at pinching them off by hand. I have to use a cutter to make them look good. Everyone in the family said my great granny and granny’s palms of their hands were shaped like biscuits. They would pinch them, roll them in their hands a couple times and put them in the pan, and all of them were shaped the same. I love your videos!
