      Yeah but to be an 08 it’s still a nice nice vessel, and yeah they rely heavily on the wood trim throughout, I think they use mostly wood from South America, it’s amazing to see these yachts leave out for sea trials and delivery… makes my 22 footer look like a “for fun” boat for one of these

    Another great reveiw, I wish others would take note. No crappy music and crew areas covered too. What to say about the boat. Well it's interesting, even a bit quirky. When I saw the casino and stripper poles I thought this would be like a Vegas hotol room at sea, but that would be doing it a diservice. The main thing I do like about this, is the crew areas. It looks like the designers actually thought about them and they weren't just an afterthough.

      I know a few Megayacht owners. Crew retention is a major issue. They're always complaining that crew quit. I'm like, "build a better crew area, ya cheap fuck! And start paying attention to morale. Feed them better!" Some of these boats, the crew meals suck. Every day is taco Tuesday. On a boat this size, having a nice engineers cabin like this one is a must, and of course the captains cabin is excellent. Engineering spaces are very nice as well. I quite like this one. I’ve always thought it would be great to do something different with one of the saloon areas as well. Although it wouldn’t be a casino for me LOL. Maybe a video arcade, and movie theatre. Loved the owner's area, especially the raised bed with the view out the front and the engineering space/engine room and proper crew space but the highlight was probably the galley - it's huge! I don't think it would too harsh to say the interior styling perhaps looks a little 'heavy' with all that wood, but hey, that's just my thoughts. I did like the rabbit warren feeling on the inside - it felt like this boat went on forever - as it made it very cosy for such a big boat. Excellent video as usual. Good scoop on a great boat. It is really well laid out. No space is wasted. The gambling is pretty funny but as you said it offers the new owner a free ,design palette. I would place the dining at the back and place a huge seating area by that killer TV. The AV in the cabins need some updating for sure but the rest of the boats is pretty dang good

I also like the layouts of all the rooms especially the master I enjoyed that the helm is completely closed off from everything else the kitchen omigosh what a kitchen crew quarters spectacular for the crew even the engineer. Personally I would take that yacht in a heartbeat minus the gambling equipment in the workout pole in the middle of the room;-). but the crew quarters a happy crew is a happy yacht. Loved it. Loved all of it. Would change some of the orange color but nothing else.
    Did a fantastic job with this yacht. Thanks for mentionning the other crew cabins in the back. I thought that only 7 including the captain was too few for such a large vessel. But room for 3 more in the back for a total of 10 makes it perfect.

    Shes certainly worn very well for her age - well looked after (but no, I still don't like the woodwork, which seems compulsory on an American boat of this age). Clearly the current owner took the term "Saloon" literally (from an American perspective), but you could refit that however you want as it looked to be pretty empty excluding the gaming tables. Probably the best crew accomodation i've seen and the whole layout is pretty nice. Loads od room for guests, was that a pullman berth in the twin cabin as well? And lastly, you walked past loads of Miele appliances without mentioning the name - is this a new game for us ;-) ?

    • @savnetsinn_original
      @savnetsinn_original Před 4 lety +5

      Interesting thing I've noticed (perhaps it's just me) is that most NA-based yacht brokerage/touring channels will actually refer to the large social area of a boat as a salon, *not* saloon, which surprises me because I'd really thought it would be the other way round.
      They do all still say "chase lounge" when referring to chaises longues, though...ick.

    A Few Thoughts:
    The passerelle has a a kinky little 'bend' in it, some 20 ft. on... Pretty damned smart. It's a quad ski... boat it up on the shore, engage the wheels, then drive it into town. Incredible...! Think about it. You take your tender to shore - and then you're on foot if a vehicle is there for you (to be paid for, not to mention the logistics involved). Instead... you scoot off to town to a bistro for lunch, or the market for eggs. I love the spontaneity it affords.
    It's the 4th or 5th time I've seen this vid... Time for a cocktail. The owner... "It fits in with what he does." My kinda guy! It's a party when the middle recliner has to be nudged forward a tad...!
    The Owner's Suite is the finest I've ever seen. Nick... The electric blinds go right-to-left. Not 'up'... Love the ceiling treatment. The 'Gymnasium'... That was the Mistress' Suite. Thus the reason for the for sale sign on the stern.
    Generous treads... So simple, yet so important. The entire boat... Not a spec of that "high-gloss wish I was wealthy lam-laq 80's look" anywhere to be found...! Tip 'o the cap Trinity.
    No TV's in the Guest Cabins...?
    The Sky Lounge... Just WOW...! The curved doors aft, incredible. The only thing missing was the hot tub... And then we "go up"... Great googly moogly...! There it is.
    The Helm... the curved feature, with the 5 nav screens... Gorgeous! The Captain's Quarters... Let's just say he's a lucky bloke!
    Nothing like a live CCTV feed of those boarding aft to keep the help on their toes...! The Galley is flawless.
    The owner... Obviously a 'good times' kinda guy. The Crew Quarters, not to mention the Captain's Cabin, are indicative of the quality of the man.
    One of your finest tours Nick...! Cheers mate.

      @visionist7 Před 3 lety +1

      Better to rotate the recliner to afford a better view methinks.
      The lack of TVs in the staterooms could be a Vegas thing; hotel rooms there are usually small and designed to encourage you to head downstairs & gamble.
