You were close with the off road setting. If you set the height to off road you gain a bit more space to lower the spare but setting it to one of the special programmes will have no effect whatsoever and you won't damage the air suspension by not selecting it.
Great video and explanations. I didn't know about setting off-road mode before jacking. Once got frustrated by vehicle lifting up but wheel still on the ground.
Awesome bro! Please keep the LR4 content coming! These things are somewhat notorious for leaking issues (especially around the A pillar and sunroof drain)... can you please do a video on how to check for this issue?
Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated. I just do roadside assistance type work, like jumps and flats and unlocks. I don't do actual automotive repairs, or I would absolutely do a video on the a pillar sunroof drain. Thanks again for watching. Ttyl
Just an FYI…you were attempting to put it in off-road height by selecting one of the special program modes in the terrain response system. The up and down arrows on the left side of that control panel is where set the height.
Also, use the down arrow to get lowest height and then press the lock symbol on the button to keep it there - essential with air suspension. Putting in off road doesn't help in any way.
You say about the impacter but that is 100% bad advice, your only suppose to torque them to 113nm (ideally by hand), otherwise you’re asking for trouble, I learnt the hard way and had to force 8 nuts out with a bolster and replace with new, not an easy task I assure you!
LR4 / Discovery 4 owners. Do yourself a favour and buy a bare minimum hydraulic jack if you plan to head out of a city. The supplied jack/ wheel changing system is and absolute joke and no where near spec'd for the weight of the vehicle. If you're not a young fit guy or girl.. don't even bother. Do a practice change in your driveway.. see how you go
Why can't you plan you videos better? If you have actually gone through these procedures, you will know which button will put it into off road height, You will also know where and when you will need someone else to hold the camera, instead of fiddling and trying to place it so that you can crank a handle. That program buttons will not change the height.
I can't plan them better because I don't have time. Be grateful instead of hateful 🙏 Have you paid anything for this? My cash app is $RoadsideGuy247. Send me enough to hire a cameraman and a producer. Ohh and enough to not have a job so I can plan these videos better. Thanks much appreciated.
As tight as you can get it by hand. When it stops turning with an impact set on the correct setting. That is the torque specs. Did the manufacturer give you a torque wrench? Nope not all all. So torque info isn't important. Do as I show you in the video and you will be fine. Thanks for watching.
Very glad I found this video. Especially good to know to set the car to off-road. Now all I have to do is remember that trick when the time comes.
This was so helpful! Thank you
Glad I could help. Thanks

Thanks for the video. I purchased 2012 LR4 a couple weeks ago. I love it.
Thanks. Yeah great vehicles for sure. Great quality. Thanks for watching.
Thx for the excellent video--very, very helpful to me today. You the man!
Glad it helped!

U saved my ass at 430 am this morning flat tire
Man, that made my day. Glad I could help.
But I assume you did it in less than 16:29 :)

Has torque settings. Read about it.

Very very true. Thanks for watching.
Same for LR3/D3. Terrible jacks for vehicles of this size.
I'm like, I know how to change a tire... Meh I'll watch anyway
Shit I would have definitely screwed this up
Thanks. Very helpful.
Many thanks 👍
Thank you too!
No one ever shows removing a rear wheel. Maybe because its not possible with suppiled jack
The first thing to do is get a decent bottle jack, the jack supplied is just not up to the job bordering on dangerous.
Why filming in mirror view ? 😕
So I can see what's in the shot. I got no cameraman. Thanks for asking.
I was like what ... wheel nuts on a land rover are reverse threaded, but no ... video was just flipped 😅
