Nice ! I love it when they give you extra engines , had some in the passed where you had 3 engines + custom parts . Hot that pinto wagon look’s like a million bucks ! Well done ❤
I would have thought there was no way those decals were going to work. Wow, I'm glad to be wrong. Great looking build, would love to build one of these, but for finding the kit and the current cost of them. Thanks for sharing!
Another awesome vintage build Louie, I love everything about this build! My Father had a wood grain Pinto Wagon in the mid 70's!! Great color choices 👌
Another really nice one Louie. Good save on the decals, I hope I can save mine. I have a couple of these, but they have the Cruising Van decals. MPC kits of this vintage are some of my favorites from my youth. I also have the 1979/80 version.
What a nice job you did building that classic, I really enjoyed this and I would love to see 👀 some more of how you straighten out warped bodies, I'm curious to know if it can be done on old promos from the sixties. Thanks.
That mark fit that your using on your decals how you use it is if you're body or parts are not clear coated you put it on the surface before applying decals to make them move around and won't rip or tear on a flat surface
Did you need to do something to make the hood fit better? In still photos it sat down, although earlier in video it was not well aligned. I like the Pinto wagon, you really did get this to turn out well. The technique using hot water to get warpage out of the body I'd heard of, it was nice to see it performed in real time.
Only 119.00 on ebay still in box. Id pay that if it were the mpc gap n rouse pinto. So my plan is to use the us postal service pinto and add this 3d printed back half wih 4 link and narrowed 9 inch. I have a full boss 429 just for it. It will be my winter project.
One of my favourite kits ! You did it right, *Louie* ! I'm pleasantly surprised about the decals ; they were junk when the kit was new ! I'd built my first one in '77 or '78 ; those disintegrating decals sent me into a (8 years old) rage . Not sure why MPC's kits decals were such junk back then... But, I digress. Does the clear coat over the decals have to be gloss ? Keep up the *great* builds !
Thank you!! The clear I would say doesn’t have to be gloss, I have not tried matte clear on them, I might have to grab a set of old Johan police car decals that I have a lot of and try it.
Thanks for the video where did you find the pinto model kit l live in Florida model car are hard to find where l live l like the way the pinto turned out Thanks again ps lm left hand too
I’m not sure where I acquired it. It’s been in my collection for some time. Internet and eBay are some of the best sources for kits. Thank you for watching.
The fixing a warped body tutorial was much appreciated by me. The body of my Matador has a bit of a tweak to it. Love the Pinto.
Wish I would have known this when I built this trojan horse mustang 2 funny car.
That’s definitely something you don’t see. What a cool build. I never thought about splitting up the decals like that. What a good idea.
Thank you!! I’m glad I was able to show you a new trick. Thanks for watching. Happy Modeling
Wow! That Pinto looks great in red! It really sets off the "wood"panels
That was a great build and the top on how to get that wrapped body straight was a great addition. The model came out really nice!!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching

The Pinto came out great! Cool trick for fixing the body. I'll need to try it. Thanks for sharing.
i had a bobcat wagon, orange with the woodgrain sides!! K Mart here we come!
Hey That's a great 'trick' to straighten up the worped body!! Good job my man!! 👍
I would have thought there was no way those decals were going to work. Wow, I'm glad to be wrong. Great looking build, would love to build one of these, but for finding the kit and the current cost of them. Thanks for sharing!
Great looking result!
great build Louie everytime i watch one of your creations I learn something new!! Thanks✌Canada✌
I’m glad I’m teaching, I love to share my knowledge.
Damn this is cool!!! I love it! I've always had a soft spot for the pinto wagons, came out beautiful
A really good kit, my favorite was the silver cruising wagon and matching Econoline cruising van! I have both in stash!
Turned out real nice. Hopefully some day we'll get a styrene Bluesmobile for it to chase!
Thank you for the advice on fixing a twisted body. Love the videos.
Love the factory stock, love the woodgrain and a very nice build. To me I see that kit screaming to be a pro street.....just me❤
Very cool build
Nice little build. That is a really neat kit. Nice job saving the decals. Thanks for sharing.
I just struggled with a warped body. Now I know how to fix it. Thank you!
Glad to help!!

Another awesome vintage build Louie, I love everything about this build! My Father had a wood grain Pinto Wagon in the mid 70's!! Great color choices 👌
my dad had the green pinto with the wood siding.
Excellent job, Louie. My parents had a 1977; white with the wood grain on the side 🙂
Those wheels are great.🤓👍
That looks fantastic, great job!
Grew up in the 70's....warped MPC bodies were the norm back then. Twisted Camaro bodies, hoods, etc. Nice job, btw.
Very cool build.
Absolutely incredible build! Love that red with the wood paneling and that tan interior! Outstanding!
Wow! Pretty impressive build! Paint looks amazing, and I am glad those decals worked out for you!
Another great build.A future build for me.
Nice work Louie, was fun seeing you assemble this Pinto together to produce that lovely model at the end. Congratulations and keep up the great work.
Very good job on a difficult older kit! You definitely earned a sub from me. Happy modelling!
Thank you for subscribing!!

Wow! Looks better than the real one😆🎯
Sweet! Great paint & nice skill set to save those decals. Great build as usual, thanks Louie.
Cool build Louie! Nice work on those decals. Your Pinto built up great. Thanks for the video 😎👍

Thank you for watching. If the promos are Styrene, you could fix them, if they are made from Acetate no.
Beautiful build! I enjoyed watching it come together 😊✌️

You love your pintos don’t you, lol
They need to reissue this kit. I want to build my mom's old car but $100 is a bit steep.
The prices on some of these kits are crazy. This one has been in my inventory for a bit.
Great build....you heard anything about this getting re released?
I have not, the only version pinto wagon that is out is the 79 model cruzing version. Reissued about three years ago. Thank you for watching

You did a great job but that hood. This car needs to be a race car of some sort..
It just wasn’t on all the way. Thank you for watching!!
@@TheAutisticModeler Its cool. I thought maybe it was off due to manufacturing.
It was the calling us "9-5" people slaves, yet that's where the money would come from. Make it make sense. SMFH
I don’t understand sir. 🤷♂️
