I think that you are very wise. I really appreciate you sharing this with us as it really hits home for me. I am a white woman and was taught all this race crap all my life, but now I am different or at least getting there. Your words on the video really touched my heart, and I wanted to thank you for helping me see things much differently. You are so correct in my identity in God through Jesus Christ's name. Also, that same woman who was harassing that wonderful young man is the biggest racist I have ever seen. She is able to get away with saying racist comments about white people all the time on that show and nothing happens to her however if it was a white person saying something against another race we are fired. My testimony: After being an atheist for 8+ years, and "married" to another female, I got the urge one day to say out loud "IF there is an Almighty God that does NOT wish us pain or sorrow, please bring me truth, I wish to know you exist". Then God immediately started bringing me the answers I had been searching 8-11 YEARS for! I witnessed Him take control of my internet and the rest of my reality; He first proved to me that demons exist (I called them "inter-dimensional beings"), then He proved His own existence, which I later found to be Jesus Christ. As soon as I found Jesus at the end of 2020, He IMMEDIATELY took away my transgenderism, bisexuality, depression, daily suicide attempts, self harm, bulimia and anorexia; and He did this all without me asking Him to, because THAT'S how merciful and loving He is! Yes and no. He wrote a book. So, the problem is more than one word. It isn't that people who do identify with their race is a problem, but that their ultimate identity being their race is not benefiting them despite the fact that that has been the narrative for a decade or so.
He follows up that argument with evidence that shows that solving class disparity will by it's nature, solve racial disparity. Get it?

Jesus grants you forgiveness and pardons for your sins. But if you willfully sin and don't try to battle it and overcome it you aren't doing enough. We aren't supposed to be at peace with our sin. We are supposed to be at war with it. And everything in life is like that as well. We are supposed to overcome our addictions in order to not end up dead. Yes we can still fall short but the point is that you should still try. Because he who willfully sins is blaspheming God. That is what separates a believer from a non believer. Don't be complacent. Jesus said be perfect. Just like my Father.

Call me crazy, but I feel like she was lying about having read his book twice. I question if she even read it once. I'm including books on tape. I think she had someone who worked on the show read it once and give her a few talking points to disagree with, but I don't think she read the book. I haven't either, so I can't verify the contents. He was dealing with her masterfully. He could teach a class about debating hostile people.

I really appreciate your approach to this whole subject. I found my anger towards other races and other classes was healed when I learned to truly find my identity in Christ. Bitterness is a crippling vice which only God can heal.

John, I never saw you as a black man until you said “as a black man”. I always saw you as the meme guy or as an apologists . It made me realize that if a person makes race the issue then it will be an issue. I could probably articulate it better but something like that.
I have always seen John as a wonderful black warrior for Christ. Black is beautiful in God's eyes, just as white and brown are beautiful. God loves variety, hence this marvelously complicated, intricate Creation we inhabit.

Bro, this is one of the best videos I’ve come across on CZcams. It’s a perfect example of people talking “through” someone and not understanding them. It is obvious that are listening to respond and not listening to understand because they already have their answer.
As an example the other day I awoke from a bad dream where my loved one made me angry. Though it was a dream I was emotionally invested and angry. Yet I knew it was only a dream. It took a conscious decision, time, and intentionally to finally talk myself down.
This is why some of them are having such a difficult time because they came to the argument angry with their presuppositions.
Much like Jesus on the cross, everyone could clearly see that He was innocent (including the Roman Centurion and the criminal next to Him), yet His accusers had already made up their minds though many of them, if not all, knew His claims were true.
And this is only one aspect of the conversation in this video. Like you said, so much to unpackaged here. Thanks for taking the time to point this out and most of all point to Christ as where we should get our identity.

Amen!! God loved me and made me his own while I was yet a sinner. Thus my identity is solely that of a sinner saved by Christ’s work on the cross. When we believe that we participate in our salvation through good works or through having the wisdom to say the right prayers or make the right commitments, we set ourselves above those who have not yet done those things and this undermines our ability to empathize and love our neighbors.
That was beautifully put together my brother.

I had never heard of this guy until this interview. I’m kind of glad they treated him like they did because it brought attention to his interview and ultimately to his book which I can’t wait to read. I love his views on race. And as an African American woman I find my identity in Jesus Christ not my race and ethnicity. I acknowledge my race but I’m not defined by it. This is why I feel no need to get a DNA test, this is why I believe reparations should have been given to my ancestors and because they weren’t let’s just let that idea go. My home is in heaven. I’m an ambassador of God.

As someone who, as a child, was labeled according to my socioeconomic status, I have to agree with the commentator that, even this, is not how we should identify people.
Maybe we should just label people as God's creation. We are not all His children, because not everyone has accepted their adoption into God's royal family, but we were all made in the image and likeness of God.
Satan has worked over-time to mar that image through the perversion of our identities and false labels, but we are all God's creation, none the less.
It all starts with creation, but ends with redemption for all who get reborn into the image and likeness of the One who created us! May we all see others and teach others to identify themselves with the Light that sparked the breath of life inside of them!
