They should had kept the 2 towers
Some dodgy pilot might fly in too it tho 😐
Tbh it he is right
Old fashioned them
Yeah would of been nice to keep some more history of the old stadium that housed the only World Cup we won
Yeah the US too
More interesting than the stadium itself is how its surroundings have changed.
you mean how communist and ugly it got
I went during Euro 1996 and again during Euro 2020. Lovely stadium, iconic.
Absolute disaster. They knocked down a palace to replace it with an air raid shelter.
Wow amazing
Much prefer old Wembley.
Fantastic
1920s Wembley was proper, it had character
Born and bred in Wembley. Always got a great feeling of football awareness whenever I stood in front of the towers-Understood they “had” to tear down this iconic stadium but to also demolish the twin towers was a crime.
They stood for something more than just football.
Although I do not live there anymore, I once visited the stadium for nostalgic reasons and it was clear that an icon was missing…
Never stand in the way of progress..?
I think they walked right over it…
Chelsea the last team to win at the old wembley and the first team to win at the new wembley 🔵
Owsome...
Jon Bon Jovi was the last person who performed at the old Wembley Stadium. He did that Because old Wembley management asked him.
My favourite stadium ❤
Bellísimo. Una verdadera lástima que no conservaron la fechada de la entrada principal. Pero en su reemplazo construyeron ese arco espectacular. Un saludo desde Bogota colombia
FUN FACT: This was also the filming location for Bob the Builder: The Live Show
"Live Aid" home
Luckily enough was fortunate enough to go to the last ever playoff final at Wembley Barnsley vs Ipswich lost 4-2 but brilliant stadium, could have polished it up like Berlin's Olympic stadium.
Been to the new one Barnsley vs Cardiff FA cup semi final los 1-0 horrible stadium will never go back their again
nostalgic and magnificent at the same time
Ted Lasso brought me here.
Please upload stadiums for IPL 2022
You here after aew All in London announcement
This is what Milan and inter could do if the Milan city council would allow them.
1:39 brazilian flag.
Pô, não deveriam ter removido as duas torres, elas eram lindas e únicas
I actually had no idea that the Stadium I've now grown up knowing wasn't technically the original one where the 1966 World Cup happened.
I thought they built the arch in 1966 right after the World Cup lol Terrible.
I mess the old wembley
they really should have kept the towers... or realised them in a modern way at least.
What’s the difference between 2007 and 2020?
Both are the same
The surrounding area, the arch lighting as well.
I miss the twin towers so much ;-(
Old man
@@oo0024 not just about old or young the towers are iconic and the new one is a pretty boring generic modern stadium. Pele called the old stadium a football cathedral
@@user-xz4gr8ru3p But Pelé is dead and the "football cathedral" there's no longer exist.
move to chelsea wembley stadium
With exception of when Tottenham temporarily moved to Wembley during the construction of The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Wembley has always been a neutal stadium. Yes i appreciate that a lot of countries have a league side regularly playing home league and cups games at it's national stadium but over here in England it's something that is very very rare and in a lot of cases no very popular
No
They can’t, Wembley is englands national stadium, a club can only move their temporary like spurs did until their stadium is done
terrible stadium, it’s been 15 years and it looks ugly & outdated not to mention 90k seats is far too small for the so called “cathedral of football”
Totally agree. Massively disapponting for the money spent.
Should've made old wembley bigger, and more updated, new wembley is huge but, modern buildings have zero character really
