- In late March, the news broke on South African news websites that Steinhoff fraudster Markus Jooste had died by suicide. But a few weeks later, conspiracy theories are swirling about whether Jooste is really dead.
A lot of what you are saying about Jooste's alleged death is hearsay. For instance, a witness familiar with Jooste said this and said that. Does it make it fact or is it possible that a witness could have been paid to say this and to say that. This is apparently what happened with the Bester escape. I am not saying a witness was paid, i am just asking the question. Also, Jooste's wife gave information to a media house. Does it mean that the information is fact? Just asking.
If you make mention of South Africa seeing people faking their own death but provide only one recent incident of Thabo Bester, are you not weakening your explanation? Who else has faked their own death in a high profile case such as this?
