I've loved this series for a long time. My father passed away 10 years ago and I recently finally scattered his ashes in a place he would have loved. This video is even more poignant for me now! Thank you xxx
I wish I could say something profound, but no words can do justice to this perfect coda to a perfect series. September 7, 2008 was a notable day, as it was the day when mankind saw the full extent of man's imagination. God bless you, Randy Peters, and Godspeed to you, Octocat.
I was struck dumb by the raw, emotional power of this work of art. I felt my heart go out to Octocat during his heart-rending struggle to find his parents in the midst of such pain and sorrow. I especially liked the subtle reference to the World Trade Centre attacks during the first scene; the fear on the faces of Octocat and his parents as their balloon careered towards the black sun (obviously resembling the imperialist aggression of America) definitely struck a chord. Bravo, Randy Peters.
Wow, the perfect end to a prefect series. Brings a tear to my eye to know that it has ended here, this way. Also, I'm betting over 9000 hours in MS Paint. Encore! Bring us more!
This teaches that no matter how strange or bad it was made, it's the thought that was put into it that counts. This series was famous before #5, and will be famous forever on.
Oh dear Octocat. It looks like you will never find your parents. An epic tale twisting and turning around every corner. If I could give you a standing ovation through the internet I would, Randy Peters.
Why does this have to be too good to be true? I cheered for octocat, I cried for octocat, and Randy Peters was my hero, but now I realize it's too good to be true. It's the genius of animator David O' Reilly, but I'll always have a place in my heart for octocat, always...
This is an epic to end all epics. The whole series lead up to this dramatic moment. Evidently, the black balloon octocat represents the darker side of Octocat's own personality - the side that doesn't want to accept the deaths of his late parents. In defeating his demons, he is released back unto reality - everything we saw up until now was solely within Octocat's mind. He is now truly alone. Nothing but Alice in Wonderland has moved me like this. Bravo, Randy Peters. You've outdone yourself.
Randy peters is a master mind, throwing such pains into this lively character that we have loved since we first found him, such terrors like 3 doors, shiny things, a worm, and a blac balon
Finally, does this epic saga come to full circle with the epic conclusion of Octocat finding his parents, and facing down the evil. Seeing the symbolism, Octocat screams out his frustrations to his hated enemy, giving a loud and hateful cry that shatters the evil adversary's very soul, thus saving his parents, and indeed, himself. Then Randy Peters, the famed creator of this great epic tale, goes into a Film Noir sequence, bringing back the glory days of such films as Metropolis. Magnifique!
Wow... I cried... Tears of joy and sadness. This is just... Amazing. I cannot put my full feelings about this into words. You've outdone yourself Sir. Peters.
supprisingly, i have something nice to say about octocat. The 3D was really great, and i think it looks much nicer than the 2D animatins. it looks much cleaner and it just is really nice to finally find something good about octocat. the two criticisms though: 1 - i dont see what happened to his parents, did they die or what? 2 - i dont think that a lot of the interpretations are accurate. its about a cat who is trying to find his parents, not about fighting in iraq, or a restaurante.
Tears of bittersweet sorrow coarse ceaselessly down my countenance after witnessing what could only be described as a monumental triumph of humanity. In this final instalment of Octocat, we see our brilliant hero finally approaching his parents in a desperate attempt to once again be united with that which he desires most. The sudden stylistic shift from two dimensions into a third demonstrates the change in Octocat's paradigm and his willingness to sacrifice himself and throw everything he
Я не знаю английского, потому не могу понять, что там орёт осмикот, но это было как минимум забавно и интересно, пусть и странно и упорото. Это куда более высокое искусство, чем чёрный квадрат)
Translate to English I don’t know English, so I can’t understand what the osmikot is yelling, but it was at least funny and interesting, albeit strange and stubborn. This is a much higher art than a black square)
knows in his literal world away in order to achieve his goals. Although he was ultimately unsuccessful in reaching his parents he will journey ceaselessly as a beacon of human will in the fight to overcome the evil that lies between justice and achieving a perfect happiness. Truly revolutionary. Randy Peters' story will descend in the annals of history as one of the most provocative and brilliant post-modern epics to ever grace the hideous and unworthy face of the planet as we know it.
This...At the very first I thought this was a 5-year-old made MS Paint animation that was funny, but the 3D part of the Video was AMAZING and sad....You are the best person out there, and this proves how impressive crappy animations can be!
Ya I think we did. Sucks because even though this was a cool surprise, I always liked octocat because I assumed it was a just a kid making these & that added to the charm.
Holy shit. The word "Amazing" is too small and insignificant to describe this masterpiece. The last installation in the series is truly out of this world.
Octocat episodes 1-4: Hahaha, what a patently silly cartoon, its so stupid its entertaining! BWAHAHAHA! Episode 5, first 20 seconds: Ha, he's still got it! Still the same dumb oct- Episode 5: 21 seconds to end: HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This- *wipes away tear* This is the best thing I've ever seen! OCTOCAT! OCTOCAT!
I thought the symmetry of the white light that radiated from within the dark creature of evil was a metaphor of how the bright light will always outshine the true evil and darkness that envelops our world. The transformation to a 3d universe really showd how the problems are not just a simple A to B line but a multi-facated environment that can honestly lead us in a number of directions. Also, he pwned the fuck out of that bigger cat with his frustration and yelling.
0:25 was the moment that I released it wasn't actually a kid. Haha, he took us all for a ride XD Anyway, this is truly amazing. The whole serious was awesome, so kudos to you Randy Peters. *Bows*
One of the great masterpieces of 21st century animation.
bruh octocat did all this shit for his parents and he don’t even get a happy ending smhhh 😭 doing my homeboy dirty
I know right
fr keeps me up at night
We need a proper ending were he finds his parents
I've loved this series for a long time. My father passed away 10 years ago and I recently finally scattered his ashes in a place he would have loved.
This video is even more poignant for me now! Thank you xxx
I remember this, back in the day it was the coolest thing ever
It still is)
I never thought I would get emotionally attached to a crudely drawn cat face with tentacles but it looks like that day has come.
HOLY SHIT THAT IS SOME GORGEOUS 3D
I'm not being sarcastic, the rough sketchy style is rendered beautifully.
Some say he's still out there, searching for his long lost parents. But little does he know, it's all in vain...
when it got all 3D I was like "WHAAAAAAA?"
I wish I could say something profound, but no words can do justice to this perfect coda to a perfect series. September 7, 2008 was a notable day, as it was the day when mankind saw the full extent of man's imagination. God bless you, Randy Peters, and Godspeed to you, Octocat.

Bravo, Randy Peters.
The greatest ending to the greatest series ever made.
A heart breaking twist with the ending.
R.I.P. Mr and Mrs octocat...
David O'Reilly admitted he is behind Octocat. What a magical and amazing journey.
WHERE IS MY HAPPY END?!
THIS GAVE ME CHILLS. NO LIE.
I did not expect this.
I think... I think this needs to be recognized as the greatest thing ever.
EVER.
EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
When he was screaming at the black cat, all I could think of was:
TETSUOOOOOO!!!!!!
KANEDAAAAAAA!!!!!
Wow, the perfect end to a prefect series.

David, that was really something :,)
I remember being completely blown away by this back in 2008. Still get chills.
Every time I watch this video I tear up. There's a little octocat in everyone
This teaches that no matter how strange or bad it was made, it's the thought that was put into it that counts. This series was famous before #5, and will be famous forever on.
Holy crap...
that was amazing! I've seen the other octocat adventures, but then out of nowhere...
completely awesome.
Oh dear Octocat. It looks like you will never find your parents. An epic tale twisting and turning around every corner. If I could give you a standing ovation through the internet I would, Randy Peters.
I still come back to this from time to time. I still don't know how to express what it makes me feel
Why does this have to be too good to be true?

This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and wacky pieces of art on CZcams. Thank you.

Hi RandyPeters,
Great little story and very nicely animated!
Liked that a lot.
Randy peters is a master mind, throwing such pains into this lively character that we have loved since we first found him, such terrors like 3 doors, shiny things, a worm, and a blac balon
David, you are the best artist ever.
Thank you for bringing the world Octocat. It was a great ride! I was VERY surprised! loved it.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen

I deadass thought I imagined this. I’ve been looking for years!!! I finally found it omg
How in the world is this not at at at least a million views???
The greatest video ever completed by man. I am speechless.
0:25
My mind was blown. Was this all an elaborate setup? What am I supposed to believe in now? My life is a lie.
Wow... I cried... Tears of joy and sadness. This is just... Amazing. I cannot put my full feelings about this into words. You've outdone yourself Sir. Peters.
This... made me cry manly tears. It's a fitting ending for such an epic adventure.
Really emotional, I was in tears.
Bro we need a octocat movie 😭

One of my all time favorite video series.
Still holds up.

Brilliant, just simply brilliant.
I weep for octocat.
0:57 that scream is so loud and demonic
That was brilliant! But it cannot be the end! I demand MOAR
Too wonderful for words. Randy you are a legend.
I have never loved something as much as this series. Fantastic stuff.

Marvelous. Simply marvelous. I want this on DVD.
Holy fuck. You took me by surprise.
I'm crying now. That was so touching...
best video in the world
i can relate with him so much
i have watched it 10 or 15 times now, and it only gets better
I'm crying now. Are you happy?
I digress. This was a beautiful way to end what was undoubtably the best story the world has ever seen.
Not having Octocat narrate everything it does is more strange than the switch to 3D.
I seriously cried. :( The sad story of Octocat is a modern parable that mirrors our human existance, and highlights the hypocrisy of modern society.
HOLY SHIT.
This is the most beautiful thing ever.
i hav enjoyd htis series grat deal tyvm
the whole series is brilliant.
i think you will be able to create great modern art in the future.
nice 3D cindof cartoon...

Epic! Looking back now small hints that its Davids work. Almost as awesome as Szamár Madár? no ;)
amazing adventure. want to play this game
I'm speechless. Simply beautiful.
The greatest piece of art of our time.
Thank you. Thank you for this very much.
This...At the very first I thought this was a 5-year-old made MS Paint animation that was funny, but the 3D part of the Video was AMAZING and sad....You are the best person out there, and this proves how impressive crappy animations can be!
This does not prove any of that. If anything it proves that with the right set of animation skills deception is child's play.
Ya I think we did. Sucks because even though this was a cool surprise, I always liked octocat because I assumed it was a just a kid making these & that added to the charm.
I can't believe the amazingness of this.
This is a masterpiece. Period.
That was suprisingly amazing.
Holy shit. The word "Amazing" is too small and insignificant to describe this masterpiece. The last installation in the series is truly out of this world.
This is the best video I have ever seen.

You are a trolling GOD.
dear jesus christ i was NOT EXPECTING THAT, epic finish
Thank you so much, Drainage. I've been searching for this song months ago.

Incredible modern masterpiece
This is amazing, Oreilly. Make another series, please.
