This playoffs have been the most entertaining of the last ten years. I’m a Penguins fan but all four teams are so exciting to watch and no one can predict what’s going to happen next. I love this year and I love these teams
I’m a penguins fan too myself. I’m personally routing for the Knights (Fleury) or the isles. Any team that can survive the offensive beating the penguins put on them in the first round deserves that cup. But I totally agree, this years playoffs have been wild and super entertaining. And even though I hate the habs I can’t lie, Price deserves that cup.
This year's playoffs have been unique because at this point none of the division winners have seen each other. I'm an Isles fan from the early eighties and hoping they can close out the Barn in style. Pens fans have nothing to feel bad about, being the last team to repeat as champs.

Montreal and the isles though are two teams who don't have many stars but just a very solid lineup of quality nhlers literally throughout all 4 lines. Personally I think that's the way to go. Some will prefer the loaded top 6 but all 4 teams left have 3-4 lines they can roll out at any time.
That last minute scramble with Pulock saving the goal was off the charts exciting hockey. What a move by Macdonough- incredible! That's the kind of game we came to see. What a series.

I have watched "highlights" on 7 different hosts. I can't get enough of 1st period, 2nd period and last 3 seconds of period 3. When the goalies away, throw your body in front of the net. This is the way to win all team effort.

"2 unanswered" ... you mean "2 in a row" ... they were down 3-0 ... the two they scored were "answers" to the previously "unanswered" goals by the Islanders. Like conversation, a goal cannot both be a question and an answer. The Islanders had scored 3 unanswered goals until the Lightning answered with 2 goals in a row. Martin's goal was the only unanswered goal in the game ultimately. Yes. I am being pedantic, but the use of "unanswered goals" incorrectly is out of control, and I blame hockey announcers and commentators for it.

Great observation, you would think the islanders would know this by now, the problem is not that the islanders don’t know it, it’s the islanders don’t have a big time forward like Mcdavid, Kane, ovechkin, Crosby to make them pay on the PP or when they make a mistake. Up to that point, the home team won the first 6 games and Fleury stopped the wings momentum at the end to steal game 7. Only cup final series I can think of where home team won every game was when the devils beat the ducks I believe in 2003.

I still call him Pajama Boy for that. But I never imagined it'd turn out to be a textbook definition of addition by subtraction. Now that I look at his numbers over his entire career especially his +/-, he's maybe the most overrated player in the NHL

Being a bruins fan, I feel like I have to root against the islanders (cause they beat us) and the habs (cause obviously). But DAMN IT I can't help but root for both of them. They keep exceeding expectations against the juggernaut bolts/knights, it's exhilarating to watch. Hockey is the best.
Isles' almost blew it in the 3rd. Trots needs to address that. U don't sit back against Tampa Bay . . U keep pushing forward like u did in the second period.
The issue was Tampa started passing from their zone all the way through the neutral zone. They caught the isles out multiple times. The islanders had chances in the third. But the defense has to be aware of the outlet passes and not let Tampa get odd rushes.

2nd period was so good by the islanders… tampa was exhausted.. but the isles have to keep that until the end of the game… i hope isles vs mtl in final. two teams no one expected to be there… but my head says vegas and tampa will make it sadly… hope hockey gods make it happen

Being a bruins fan, I feel like I have to root against the islanders (cause they beat us) and the habs (cause obviously). But DAMN IT I can't help but root for both of them. They keep exceeding expectations against the juggernaut bolts/knights, it's exhilarating to watch. Hockey is the best.

Isles' almost blew it in the 3rd. Trots needs to address that. U don't sit back against Tampa Bay . . U keep pushing forward like u did in the second period.
The issue was Tampa started passing from their zone all the way through the neutral zone. They caught the isles out multiple times. The islanders had chances in the third. But the defense has to be aware of the outlet passes and not let Tampa get odd rushes.
