Ticking noise on cold startup? Loud droning of diesel? How to silence diesel? We test the Liqui Moly Moly Hydro Stossel Additiv oil additive, which should help to silence the work of the hydraulic tappets, as well as the operation of our engine.

I had a problem with a sticky lifter on my 1996 W202 mercedes C180 (this is a petrol 1,8). When the engine got warm, the lifter was literally banging inside the engine, it was so loud I taught I had a bent valve or a broken cam lobe. I bought this hydraulic lifter aditive for around 10€ and it fixed the problem completely, but not right away, it took a few days through which i've driven around 500km and the noise was completely gone. So for me, this worked like a charm.
I assume you can't fix something thats not even broken, like a diesel engine that naturally runs louder, especially those VW SDI's :)

trochę ciszej i mniej klekoce, ale czy podobnego efektu nie uzyskasz zalewając bardziej lepkim olejem, np. zamiast 5W 30 dać 5W 40

Sound intensity did change by 4dB and the noise pitch is changed a bit. Weirdly, I prefer the non Liqui-Moly version, it has more bass to it.
Co z bezpieczeństwem silnika? Obawiam sie, ze takie wynalazki mogą narobić więcej szkody jak pożytku. Wystarczy lać dobry olej ja od lat leje do swojego Avensisa T27 2.0 D4D 124KM olej Lotos 5W30 C2+C3 (6 litrów wychodzi mnie 100zł) i nigdy nie miałem problemu, przejechałem na nim 300tyś km bez żadnych problemów. Co 5 tyś km dolewam do paliwa dodatek do czyszczenia wtrysków STP, filtry olej co 15 tyś km. Dziękuję.
Czy pomimo komentarzy "na nie" wniosek nie powinien być taki, że faktycznie pomogło? Z wartości decybelowych które podajesz można odczytać, że silnik pracuje 2x ciszej...

Tried it, didn't work for me, the lifters are still making noise. Engine DK5ATE, 200.000 km.
all difference is just because on the start of the video is cool engine working and after 100 km of freeway drive is engine worm and have smoother working ! This is normal on every diesel or turbodiesel.
Try using a engine flush additive. That sound, sounds like a sticking lifter, and then engine flush just might help.
Mi to polecił mechanik na lekko hałasującą szklankę do benzyny 1,6. Jeszcze nie zalewałem i chyba nie zaleje, bo jak słychać jest jeszcze gorzej.

Po zastosowaniu jest nawet dźwięk wyostrzony. Może dawać wrażenie że jest głośniej pomimo braku kilku decybeli. Taki zagęszczacz. Ciekawe jak to współpracuje z olejem i całym silnikiem za te kilkadziesiąt tysięcy. Bo podobno ma być promocja. Do wymiany silnika klient otrzyma trzy sztuki preparatu gratis😁

Totalnie nie zrozumiałeś istoty tego preparatu. On nie wycisza klekotu diesla, tylko czyści kanały olejowe w popycha zach hydraulicznych jeśli te są zapchane i stukają (nie kasują luzu zaworowego odpowiednio). Nazwa preparatu po polsku to DODATEK DO POPYCHACZY HYDRAULICZNYCH. Test kompletnie bzdurny, niemerytoryczny, a jego wynik przewidywalny, jeśli popychacze hydrauliczne działają, to nie ma czego wyciszać.
my engine has a capacity of 6.5 liters of oil and it shows that it is at maximum. Do I have to have 6.2 liters of oil in the engine to use this additive

Most of the time fuel pump injection sounds like a tractor, not the engine. So to reduce that sound, the diesel fuel must be more thick than thin as it is now due to new e6 regulations. Regulations that makes diesel fuel very dry, compared to what it was 10-20 years ago. Therfore that additive might be for the diesel fuel maybe not for engine. Also there are some guys that tested mixing a full diesel tank with 500ml 2T motorcycle oil. This makes the fuel pump injection be lubes better, so the Traktor sound it's reduced significant.

Best additive for diesel engine is BG DOC. "Steel shield" , Polytron, Archoil, Motorkote, very good products. Liqui Molly suits for preventing problems but not for solving... .

Różnica taka, że przed zalaniem jakby wyższe dźwięki wydawał a po jest jakby bardziej basowy, mniej słychać takiego klepania ale to dosłownie subtelnie słychać. To trzeba by w takim samym pomieszczeniu zbadać i nagrać na takich samych ustawieniach mikrofonu w takim samym położeniu. Wystarczy w okolicy pojazdu dodatkowy obiekt i już fale dźwiękowe inaczej się odbijają i może być taka różnica.
Ten dodatek jest dość gęsty, wygląda jak olej więc znacznie zmienia parametry zalanego oleju. Ciekawe jak to wpłynie na rozruch w mrozy, na turbinę, panewki i pierścienie. Czy po zlaniu oleju z tym dodatkiem nie będzie gorzej po nalaniu nowego czystego oleju.
Jól begyantásodik az olaj a finom szűrőben, és a motornak kaput vagy inkább végzetes......igen, elhalkul... mind örökre...:)
If this stuff had made a noticeable difference to the engine noise beleive me i would have been very worried. Auto tech 50 years experience with diesels.

exactly, there is no point of any additives. Good high quality longlife oil has all additives for 2y 30k Km
I hear nearly no difference, ticking the same but tone decreased slightly 😁 you can't really expect a diesel purring like a cat, except if you cover it with sand bags...

That's right. Most viewers don't use headphones, so they can't hear the difference. The difference is very minimal.

wow...got sound changing......not bad for this product.....but i think it is not necessary .....i saw many oil additive will make engine oil thicker and sludge up inside the engine parts if u not frequently changing your engine oil.....that's the bad effect of it

use 4 oz. silocon silacate drive normally until noise stops.
replace oil and filter.

Не особо то и помогло. Просто звук стал менее звонким, а достигли этого простым увеличением вязкости. Вангую, что такого же снижения шумности двигателя можно было достичь простой сменой масла на более вязкое.
