      @@ReviveMyRidethank you for the help. My car is taking longer to start in the morning and i have changed my car battery and fuel pump
      Is okay too. I dont think my fuel filter have been changed and i have done 70k so far. I normally service it with mercedes and all these years i thought they would change it but after watching your videos i realised they dont. Do you think this is causing the problem? I do start my car now after waiting 10 secs on 2 clicks in the morning. Planning to change it after seeing this fantastic video. Thank you again mate.
      Update: changed it and it was quick and easy bit of struggle with the clips to put back on but did the job. Thank you so much for your video. Car is running smoooootthhhhh😊

    I have an issue on my mercedes coupe e 250 diesel year 2010.
    The engine start well then in fez minutes it vibrate harder and harder sometimes it even stop when i accelerate there are some noises like a periodic crack or something. Then when temperature rises to 60°c a smelly smoke till 80° then everything runs good when the engine attemp 90°c. No problem at all when the engine is hot.
    In permenance the MIL is indicated and a a lots of fuel consomtion when the engine is under 90°c
    I changed the air filter and the gasoil filter change the oil with the filter.
    The electric diagnostic indicate P026600, P02F149, P02F049, P02EF49, P02EE49 default codes.
    The has only 87000km and i dont think its a problem of fuel injector what do you think?

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před rokem

      Honestly, the best advice I can give is to go to a Mercedes specialist garage, specifically, they need to be equipped with Star or Xentry diagnostic systems as this will allow them to see much more than what the code is telling you. Many of your fault codes are pointing at the injectors (specifically injector 2) and this may be the problem but the engine management is also taking signals from elsewhere (for example the crank sensor) which might also be contributing to the problem. Hope that helps you some! Thanks, Phil

      Hi Phil, sorry I didn’t notice you replied. Haynes manual suggests draining water from the fuel filter at annual service. Watching other videos on Mercedes sprinter van, the black hose near the electrical connector allows water/diesel mixture to drain out. I wanted to learn from you.

      Thanks very much! That's a good question regarding the diesel filter! For my car C250d 4matic, it is every 46,500 miles / 3 years. But check out this sheet, fill in your details: for example car model, mileage 60500 (no comma) and date 1/6/2018 and click "B service". Scroll down to where it says "additional operations" and you'll see more info including the diesel filter interval. lite.servicemercedes.co.uk/ess/pc/

    W205 Today I tackled this as it would appear I had coolant leaking from underneath the car and warning on dashboard and when you looked around by the fuel filter housing and the egr cooler there was a build up clearly showing however I've fitted the new redesigned model can only fit two bolts as isn't slots for all three. However I took it for a test drive after refilling with coolant and now it appears the dashboard warning has came back on yet again?
    Any ideas or suggestions to what's happening?

      @ReviveMyRide  Před 6 měsíci

      I'm sorry, from your message above, I can't work out the problem you are asking about. What warning have you got on the dash? Are you trying to resolve a coolant leak or a diesel leak? What did you fit that only has two bolts instead of three? Thanks, Phil

      Hi @SP-dl3tr I reused the clamps. If you are careful with them, you can often reuse them without any problems. However, it is a 13mm-14.5mm fuel line clamp and the Merc part no. is A0069971890 or you can buy a kit of zinc plated fuel line clamps. TBH this is what I had one standby just in case! amzn.to/41GCmw5 Hope that helps! Thanks Phil

    Hi, I have 2015 Infiniti Q50, I believe it's the same engine, Mercedes 2.2 diesel. I have the water in fuel filter light on. Would i need to replace the fuel filter or can i just drain it. Also, will removing the filter be the same process as demonstrated on this video. Thanks for posting.

    Sir I have a question
    Whenever i do full acceleration my car will hesitate badly why? Maybe it’s because of fuel injectors? Please reply

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před rokem +1

      Hi @thenotoriousqais5075 There are actually quite a few things that it could be. If your fuel filter (shown in this video) has never been changed then it could be the problem. When your car needs the full supply of fuel, then a partially blocked filter can restrict the supply of fuel, causing hesitation. Fuel injectors that are dirty and no longer providing a "mist" into the cylinder (it becomes a stream of fuel instead) can cause the problem but usually on cars that have at least 100k miles and over 10yrs of use. Early signs of this is a lot of smoke (unburnt fuel) under hard acceleration. Also, again on older, high mileage cars, the diesel high pressure pump can begin to wear and not provide enough fuel pressure. However, the first thing you should do is see if any fault codes have been generated by the ECU, by reading them with a good fault code reader. If you don't already have one, the Nexpeak NX501 works well on Mercedes cars, that's what I use amzn.to/3DGRDU2. Fault codes can exist in the background without a check engine light or a warning light coming onto the dash. Hope that helps! Thanks, Phil

Although information varies. I'm sure I was working to 60k miles and 5 years when I did mine... Here's a link: www.waltersmercedesbenzofriverside.com/service/mercedes-benz-c-class-service-intervals/ BTW, I found MB themselves to be the best price for the filter, so it's worth getting a price from them. Really sorry, I can't remember and I don't have the car any more, so I can't go and check. In theory, the fuel will come into the filter from the back of the car, from the fuel pump back there, then it will come out of the filter and go to the high pressure fuel pump (normally on the front of the engine near the camshaft). Maybe that will help you track it down? Thanks, Phil
