    WoW. That is by far the closest to what an Indian should look like.
    Well done.

    Can you provide any details on the color red you used?

      @samstermotorizedbikes  Před rokem +1

      It's called "Colonial Red" and it's from a spray can from Walmart. Cheap yet it worked out nicely!

    How do you mount the engine in that particular angle? Does it not starve the engine of oil ??

    • @samstermotorizedbikes
      @samstermotorizedbikes  Před 2 lety +1

      You do have to put more oil in it when the engine's mounted like that. As long as the crank still dips in the proper amount it'll distribute the oil nicely. I've had another bike run like that for way over 500 miles with no sign of damage.

      @@samstermotorizedbikes I’m glad to see you back, love your bike! I might start my board tracker with a beach cruiser soon. I would like to also mount my engine this way, do you have an estimate of how much oil you put for your 212cc or how one might go about checking it’s dipping in the right amount of oil? How do you usually check it’s enough? Thank you very much!

    • @samstermotorizedbikes

      @@ICXC0 Thanks! Glad to be back! I check the level almost every other ride (give or take) just to be sure. As far as the level, I have no good way of making a dipstick that would mean anything so I go by a little silver pin that's visible inside the case when opening the oil filler cap/screw. (At least on the predator 212cc) Over time I found that if oil is higher than that pin, covering it; it's too full and spits it out the breather. So what I found was if the oil is sitting right below that pin; it's perfect. I can double check how far below the pin it is by tipping the bike over to the left and if oil covers it at around a 20 degree tilt of the bike; It's fine. If you have to tip the bike over to say 45 degrees, it's too low. It's quite a primitive way to tell but I've never had a problem so far. I'm going to be changing oil soon so I'll try to measure it to see how much exactly. I'll try and let you know. Ride safe!

    I love all of it. Way better then anything I could make. Just my opinion but the engine is a bit of a let down ik there no way for you to get one from 1912. Just idk looking at it without you telling me I was like wow but once you told me all the faked mock up stuff on the motor I was sorta bummed not sure why. But idk great work tho looks nice

  • @randyrush9856
    @randyrush9856 Před 2 lety

    Why a mockup instead of building a working suspension front fork? With all that work it seems a bit of a letdown that it won't be functional.

    If your gonna build them don't do anything fake makes your build worthless check mine out every thing built to do its job

  • @JamesParks-the_man_myth_legend

    I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to just make the front end functional and then putting a hose clamp on the front of the seat makes me question your ability to be unsupervised throughout an entire 24hour day.
