  • Don't let the patina fool you on this classic Bronco. I put in a new engine, added power disc brakes, rebuilt the transmission and about everything else you could mechanically to make this a beach going machine.

    I would have never cut that factory radio location. NEVER! Nice Bronco!

      It was already cut for a different aftermarket radio. If it was original i would have left it alone. I just cut it bigger. Always can weld it back up

    I like the currents aesthetic right now....looks like fun....keep it rugged with classy amenities

      Yeah I’m holding off on body work for now. I keep it inside so it should be fine 🤷‍♂️

    awesome project, For the front speakers I put them in the same spot as I wanted front speakers even if I took the doors off, so what I did was 3D print some speaker pods that fit a 5.25 speaker in those kick panels and seals the interior and speaker from the elements. I designed the 3d file myself if ever interested.
    I ran my bronco for the fist time this last summer after countless hours of work, probably the best summer of my life driving her around.

      Thanks! 3D printing something is a great idea. The passenger side one is hard to fit with the heater ducting. When I get ready to do sheet metal work I will probably try to find a better box or go the 3D printed route

      @@DIYSCOTT absolutely, I forgot to mention I have a vintage air heater plenum which opens up that space on the passenger side since it no longer pulls from outside air. So that definitely helps if you go that route.

    Definitely would have painted that engine compartment prior to dropping in the new engine

    Bronco is awesome!!! You got a lot of value for the money spent on the mechanicals, too!! Still have the Power wagon?

    • @DIYSCOTT
      @DIYSCOTT  Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks! Yeah I feel like it is a decently safe investment for how much people like the old Broncos. Power wagon is alive and well I am just waiting on a backordered driveshaft as I discovered it is pretty bent and think it is causing some of the noise at higher speeds. Hopefully I get to do an update video on it at some point when I have it more road ready

    • @DIYSCOTT
      @DIYSCOTT  Před 3 měsíci

      It’s kinda crappy but I added an amplifier and it’s better. I wanted one the same size with the CarPlay but that is from a real brand but couldn’t find any. This is what it’s called on Amazon: Single Din Touchscreen Radio Car Stereo Wireless Apple Carplay Android Auto, 6.9 Inch Car Stereo Android 2G+32G with GPS Navigation WiFi FM SWC USB Bluetooth

      Thanks mate! Looks clean. I like the slim profile. I ended up using the boss with a magic box to enable wireless Apple car play, but don't like how far it sticks out.

    I’m sorry, but this was done wrong in so many ways. Good luck with the cheap seat bolts and brackets in an accident.

    • @DIYSCOTT
      @DIYSCOTT  Před 3 měsíci

      Ejection might be a good thing if I’m getting in an accident bad enough to worry about the seat bolts
