Love the variety of gear you feature. Always interesting to see what's out there.
Thanks! I try to feature a good mix to account for all types of viewers :)
Thanks for the review. It is great to see that there are now affordable options here in Canada. The prices used to be exorbitant; so, a few years ago, I built my own rig in wood, which cost me $70 without a seat. It is extremely sturdy for my direct drive wheel and allowed me to customize it to my liking… my cockpit is finished in a black and gold John Player Special design. All in all, the total was less than $200, including the seat and professionally made JPS insignia.
In wood?? Can it be equally sturdy ad an aluminum frame?
@@rextransformation7418 Hi Rex. I am not sure how it compares to an aluminum frame, but is most probably not as rigid as aluminum extrusion. However, it really is very stable and does not flex at all. I think wood may absorb the shudders and vibrations of my CSL DD wheel more effectively than metal would, but that is just my unsubstantiated thinking as I have never driven on an aluminum rig. If you build your wooden rig to tight tolerances, it is really an excellent, affordable alternative.
You put in work on your reviews! Great vid.
Very good review. Just ordered this cockpit and I agree their website definitely needs to be reworked, too much information is missing. Thanks for the LxWxH measurements so I can make sure it will fit where I want it when it gets here.
Great review OC! I own the 6S-80 with RS seat and couldn’t be happier. Love 6 Sigma Sim Racing!!
Glad to hear :)
I’m not sure if I heard him say it or not but if you order it from the link he provided does the seat come with or is it a separate purchase?
@@notmrtaktikal8912 You need to purchase the seat separately for $300.
@@OCRacing Ok thank you so much I enjoy the videos. Definitely going to upgrade my sim racing experience with this cockpit
Thank you so much, I was searching high and low for an affordable option
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching :)
OC i love your vids man been here since 6k subs and i hope i will be here when u hit 50k
Thanks for the support, Quint :)
Another great video dude. Thanks for the information.
Thanks for watching ☺️
great review, starting to enjoy your content quite a bit. anyways, had never heard of 6Sigma before but I finally pulled the trigger on a Slim one, thanks mostly to this vid here. Just surprised with the lack of vids on the Slim itself, pricing seems great for what you get. hoping I don't regret it
how is your experience
@@slattnemm5832 I did regret it. the price was great but they delayed shipment several times, then didn't ship the reinforcement plates and took forever to reimburse me for them. the info about the compatibility with bucket seats is also incorrect so I had to spend more money to fit an aftermarket seat. the product itself is really not bad tho, I'm enjoying it now after all that. could've gotten similar prices from trakracer had I waited till Black Friday.
I love my 6S Slim, love it. My main complaint is the pedal plate isn't ideal for a 3 Pedal Moza setup but that's fixed by simply drilling a hole
What I really want to see - a convertible hotswappable cockpit. Flight Sims now, Racing Sims later, desk mode after that. I want to know how hard it is to swap this stuff out. Throttles, yokes, flight pedals, racing pedals, steering wheels, etc... on separate plates I guess?
6 Sigma is a great company, so happy to see you reviewing their product!
No it's not. They have horrible customer service and ridiculous shipping time of more than 2 months
I own the 6 Sigma Slim cockpit with the reclining seat. Love it especially for the price!!! My only complaint is that being 6''1 with the seat all the way back and my pedal setup as far as possible from the seat, I could use few inches more length!!! I use it with my Fanatec DD Pro and the cockpit is sturdy with no noticeable flex.
What peddle set do u use? I'm 5'11" and am looking at this rig. I'm hoping to not have the same issue
@@Boknier I use the pedal set inclued with the DD Pro.
Is it uncomfortable or is the size ok for u
Ty for the reply
@@Boknier it is comfortable enough for me to play 2-3 hours without any trouble. As my pedal set need to be as far as possible from the seat the angle is just not perfect for me.... but not a deal breaker imo
Thanks for the reveiw! I have been waffling between rigs and hadn't heard of this company - pretty sure a purchae is imminent.
Jeez 50k. subs good shit bro
6:19 - That could have gone so wrong.
Great review - I'm coming around to the idea of alu profile rig myself so this is well timed for me.
Let me know what you end up going with!
To be honest it when I pull the trigger it's likely to be whatever is in stock and has a half decent review. Currently the phrases "Sim Racing Equipment" and "In Stock" very rarely appear together in the same sentence, but I guess that applies to just about everything these days.
I thought about building one myself too. But ended up just bought the 6s slim from the 6sigma since it’s actually cheaper than buying the materials Lol. And then I bought some extra piece to mod and upgrade for it.
Chairs that are too soft result in getting really sweaty as you sink in. Also, cushioning that is too soft usually means less support and loses support as the material breaks in. I actually prefer stiffer seats.
As a Canadian, this is great news!
whats the difference between the standard mount and the CNC bottom mount? which one did you review?
Solid deal but IMO the GT Omega Prime is a better deal. For $600 shipped you also get a shifter mount, larger profile extrusion, a new and improved pedal tray.
I checked it now it's 700$
@@jahshjahsh2002 It's €870 now lol
@@0luc83 a friend of mine claims he built his rig for 250$ and then built a full 6DOF motion rig for 1000-2000 $. (worth mentioning he's a mechanic so he already has all the tools and knowledge).
@@jahshjahsh2002 thats really sick tbh, found a decent looking setup for around 500 including seat, monitor- and shifter mount so I might be looking into that
@@0luc83 aluminum profile? new? that's a reasonable price it's not easy to find like this. Make sure the seat and shipping are included because some rig makers ask for 500 for the seat alone.
Great vid very helpful 👍
Glad I could help =)
Lmk what you’d like me to feature next.
Was wondering if you would be doing a review of Advanced Sim Racing and the rigs they offer? Great video as always!
I’ll see what I can do 👍
Cost wise I highly recommend the 6s-80 over the ASR4, yes, the 4 not the ASR3. I know for 4080, I should look at the ASR3 to the 6S80, but for the structure, the wheel base poles on the 6S80 sit on the side of the base beams like the ASR4 that is way more expensive. ASR3 is only as sturdy as the ASR1 because of the poles sitting on the base beams.
You just sold me on this.
If looking plain and being prone to finger prints is the worst of things, I think I'll be okay.
I own the 6s Slim cockpit from 6 sigma, and I have no complaints with it at all!
@@labpong7562 you would have purchase that separately
Dude, that's a 100% review, good fucking job (I just subscribed to you because of it hehe)
Glad you enjoyed, thanks :)
Great review. Thanks! Are you Canadian ?
You should check out the sim hound cockpit, it's an aluminium profile rig that's only £295/$357.57* appx
Hey fella. When you installed the seat where did the silver spacers go? Is that to space the rails from the seat? Six sigmas instructions leave much to be desired on this part
Can the wheel mounting tray tilt? Your wheel base is very level, causing it to partially block the dashboard view on screen.
Around 3:40, you see the PC... but nothing is plugged in? Was this just for aesthetics? or are you somehow magic-ing the signals to your screens?
If I have Thrustmaster T300RS GT, I only need to purchase the Standard wheel deck, right? Also, is this package already include 3 monitor stand or not? Thanks
great piece. loved it. im still trying tofigure out what the difference is between their 3 different models on their websites. they all look the same
With all those extras, like keyboard tray, monitors stands, PC stand and it's $1000.00 again. Looks very sturdy no doubt and if you just buy the base it is cheaper.
Holy moley just checked these on their website. Rig and seat around £550! That is mega value.
@@labpong7562 no the rig is £345, the seat is £188. You need to buy them both separately. Although not clear if they ship internationally so it might all be irrelevant
hello nice rig!! I just assembled a rig with aluminum profiles and I can't figure out if it's normal to hear little tiks while using it. It is as if the corner seams are loose when in fact they are very tight. Do you also have this problem? Anyone who reads the comments and owns a rig has also encountered this problem?
I found trak racer has very affordable and very well made rigs. Not knocking these guys at all. I run a tr80. Aluminum is the way to go. Can add on as you advance in skill level. Happy racing all!!
Big fan of trak racer rigs myself. I would generally disagree with them being affordable though 😅
Wish I knew 3 weeks ago about them I got the fgt elite and it was 900 more then this rig. Not to mention their Canadian company. FYI this rig is only 1 inch all around more then the next-level fgt elite so it's very compact
The F-Gt Elite is still a great rig nonetheless. How’s your experience with it been so far?
@@OCRacing oh yeah doesn't take away from the fgt elite it's been great so far. Was just saying I would have rather given my money yo a Canadian company over an Australian one since I'm Canadian and would saved some cash at the same time but in no way its been a terrible purchase going with the F-GT ELITE. I will say it was a bitch to build alone took more then 2 days to get it all setup and adjusted. So it's not as easy to get it all good to go as some channels have made it out to be. So much involved and it's very heavy for a 1 man crew 😆 but the end result is amazing and will outlast my needs for sure.
Are other seats compatible with it other than the ones they offer?
So compact? I'm a not a small guy. How was the width and can I scoot to get proper knee bend? I
Love the vid! If I where to get a racing stand for my thrustmaster tmx, which one would you suggest? And also what petals... bc the ones that come with it are not great.
I actually don’t know much about wheelstands! I think Next Level Racing offers a good variety though?
I would look into the Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals since you’re already in the ecosystem.
Ok, thanks for the suggestion! Have a good rest of your day! And also I'm at Portland international raceway and will be watching nascar😁
Does anyone know if you can use other brand seats. Like real seats wether from a car or aftermarket??
I bought this from Stanley about a month ago it’s a solid rig I got the gtr seat
What’re your thoughts on the GTR seat?
@@OCRacing well it’s a good seat but killer on my back the cushions are removable so I’m looking at getting softer cushions in there trying it out. Currently using a pillow it helps for now. If you know of any let me know btw I got the 120 rig
Is the seat included? I can't find any information about this
6 Sigma is awesome!
Great review but i wish it was in brighter place to see it more clearly
Oh Canada!? I’ve been paying euro and shipping for years to build my rig. This product line should turn some fellow canucks heads if they are interested in a sturdy rig for their LC pedals and DD wheel bases!
I’ll take it good vid oc!
Thanks! Nice to see you here again :)
Nice Coquepit
Also have a look at SimXPro X80. Very sturdy and well built. Price is among the lowest on the market.
So glad you commented this. Do you have one?
@@trevorkratzer yes, I have the x80 grey.
@@brotakul what seat do you have with it?
@@trevorkratzer i have the basic one, bundled with the rig.
3:33 I bet it really easy managing cables when you don't actually plug any cables into your PC...
Unsure if you are still actively looking at comments, but does anyone know the seat rail's measurements?
I've been looking at getting this rig, but attaching an actual car seat to it for more casual driving / trucking sim, but I'm unable to find the dimensions of the seat rails, to see what I could get on the 2nd hand market for actual car seats. Any info welcome, thanks!
Ah damn, unfortunately I couldn’t tell you as no longer have this rig. What I will say is that a ton of people attach real car seats onto rigs and sim seat sliders so I don’t think you’ll have much of an issue
very cool i enjoy 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not enough thumbs up 😤😤
@@OCRacing bro I'm putting more than the average 5 year old who just discovered the Internet, this says a lot about your target audience sir
I have a question, it’s about my sim setup. I want to get into sim racing more. I only have a desk setup so far but want to start getting into it. I want to play stuff like iracing, asseto corsa, and American truck sim. What would you think would be a good starting setup? I have a thrustmaster t248 without a shifter.
Have a look at the simracing subreddit, you'll probably get an answer there.
@@sloth_energy thank you
I don’t get what do you mean by “a good starting setup”, a T248 is not a bad wheel to start with even it’s not nearly as good as any belt drive. Sim wise, get the Assetto Corsa Ultimate version when it’s on sale, it’s the most cost friendly and most versatile option in the world because of the mods out there.
Do the scratches and fingerprints occur on black aluminium profile rigs from other companies?
For the most part, yes.
Do you think kids will fit? Like 5 foot?
been waiting for mine to be delivered for 4 1/2 months now... not a word from customer support and no response to emails.
Hey OC Racing, Is the T300RS compatible with this cockpit? Nice review!
Yes it is! Thanks :)
In regards to 6S-80 cockpit, I have the same Fanatec GT DD PRO Wheelbase. On their website, they have 4 different Wheel Deck as an option. Which one should I get? Standard / Fanatec Podium DD Side mount / Fanatec CSL DD side mount / or CNC Bottom Mount ? Thanks in advance guys. Any tips would be appreciated :)
Be mindful that their pedal plate sucks if you use the Fanatec CSL pedals.. As for the wheel deck, you can get the Standard no problem
@@wagneralmeida5150 Is that because you need to drill holes in the deck plate?
@@sidj9235 exactly. I ended up buying a deck plate from Advanced Sim Racing and using spacers to fit it properly
I have a playseat alcanatara and im tired of it I am looking to upgrade to something more comfortable and honestly this might be it
Nice I can just go to the store and get
Is This rig compatible with Logitech, Thrustmaster wheels?? That was one specification other rigs offer is the compatibility..
It absolutely is!
Oh, man. When you said North America I thought that included Mexico as well... oh, well. Thanks for the review anyway.
review flashfire pls
900r suzuka
gt omega art racing seat is 450 usd i think its a much better deal and you an get it without the seat for 250
Honestly, I feel like it's worth the 100 ish more to have a waaay more solid aluminium rig.
u can build it ur self for around 200-300 in raw material
Not in Canada, or just not in Toronto, buy from them it’s actually cheaper than buying the profiles, and plus all the hardwares.
Its only for us and canada market they dont ship to GCC
Bro I got a next level racing gt lite and it’s not even half the price of that. Yes it’s built worse than that. (Plus it’s actually quite comfy)
not gonna lie, I turned my desk into a cockpit... it's not as car looking im sitting properly so thats what counts i suppose
I’ll never understand offering uncomfortable seats in a gaming rig. For 350 bucks I expect to feel like I’m sitting on a couch
To ship to my country I need to pay 500$ for the rig and another 500$ to ship it over haha.
You can buy one off Si Turnbull for £250
Great review and video content. But unfortinately 6 sigma runs on an upside down dumpster business mode. I've been waiting dor my 6s-80 for more than 2 months now qnd their customer support keeps making excuses, sensing me hype emails, and that theyre working overtime to fulfill my order.
I dont refommend you buy from them despite the lower cost. Many other people are now voicing their complaints and frustration on other channels like reddit.
Go with the sim lab evo. So much better
i got a gt omega 599 no seat ebay seat 200 thats what i got
cool, but not cool that they are shipping only in canada
They ship worldwide. Currently offering free shipping in North America sand they’re looking for distributors in Europe and Australia.
Still too high🤘🏼🏁
I got one from China for 189.

Omega prime same price more robust rig
reading all these comments it's crazy to me everyone praising 6sigma when they can't answer their email/social media or even phone...
Your driving position is not good. You are too far from the steering wheel among other things...
Otherwise, great review.
kinda expensive for me, i think it will be cheaper to custom make one and mount a seat on it
I agree. “Not breaking the bank” clearly means different things to different people. 😊 If you take your time, you could build a sturdy rig for under $200. This is what I did and now am the proud owner of a John Player Special liveried rig. As I had a seat, mine came in just over $100 (including professionally made JPS insignia). It is probably not as strong as aluminum extrusion, but it handles my CSL DD without a tremor.
