Dave makes a run-of-the-mill routine extremely funny.
Watching Dave every night in my childhood BR in the 80s, the only time I have had to put a pillow over my face to keep from screams being heard (OK, at least that I can discuss in public lol).
But seriously folks, I loved all the late night hosts back then, and although I taped them all anyway, I couldn't fall asleep without at least making it through Carson's mono. Despite exhausting job and commute into Manhattan from Brooklyn, where many ppl live at home long into adulthood due to ridiculous costs that have skyrocketed even further the last 18 months. I DK how young families do it, esp since kids today also cost a LOT to raise...we were just happy watching free tv and waited for Christmas for a VCR! lol.
