Nutsedge Control

Nutsedge control can be an annual battle. Lucky for us there are some very effective options in the nutsedge herbicide isles. Sedgehammer is one of the more popular nutsedge weed killer options.
Sedgehammer is inexpensive and easy to use. This video demonstrates successful eradication of nutsedge in turf.

Annual occurrence so I usually treat the heavier sedge areas. I don't like to blanket herbicides otherwise. Nice to hear from you 🙂

I got inundated in my flower bed last year and I mistakenly pulled it. Now I use Sedge Ender and it works quickly. I also follow up with a little Ortho but the SE works great, even in the yard.

Yes easy to eradicate or let it run its cycle, but it will be back! 😀

Been killing it off every year with sedge hammer and ortho nutsedge killer and it keep coming back. Hopefully it eventually goes away. Going to be a hot one today Russ in NJ @97 and then another 5 days in the 90s. Hard to enjoy summer with this heat. 🥵. I still prefer it over winter.

Agree. Comes back so that’s why I just treat the heavy areas. Don’t want to blanket spray herbicide all the time. My bigger problem is some fungal damage developing even though I’ve been doing preventive apps. I may mix up heavier does of Azoxy and Propagonazol today.
Been doing afternoon 3-minute cooldowns too, to combat this brutal heat. Overall I’m fairing we’ll, know yours looks great so keep at it. 😀. Enjoy chatting with you.

@@LawnJourneys I'm having same issue this year with mycelium. I have been doing fungicide preventative treatment all season alternating what I use. I just went outside and still see the little webs. No spreading yet however the webs just wont go away. Might be the impossible I'm starting to think.

@@SuperTA329 Eaxct same issue here. I just saw it again this morning in area where I’ve suffered damage. Going to hit it again today with higher concentration, just effected areas, see if I can knock it out.
Was at Lowes yesterday looking for yellow tag sales, nothing to report though 😀
