Volvo 2.4 Diesel Injector Replacement/Removal (D3, D4, D5,D6)

In this video, we demonstrate the procedure for removing/replacement of the injectors of all 2.4L, Euro 5, 5-cylinder diesel engines badged under D3, D4, D5, and D6 variants. After injectors repair or replacement with new, their calibration data (also called "codes") need to be corrected in the ECU to ensure optimal work of the engine. While this video focuses on the physical aspect of the job, the software side-injector coding-can be easily performed using advanced diagnostic tools or software like VDASH.
This procedure is compatible with all models equipped with this engine, including the V60/S60/S80/XC60/XC90/C70.

Hi, I don't remember exactly. If you have a diagnostic tool, disconnect the plug of one injector, scan the car and it should throw a code on the injector it misses. Regards.

Thanks for this. Looks straightforward enough. Going to remove the injectors on my 2.0 d4 and this should be able to guide me as they look similar enough. How long did it take you?

I think it took me no more than 3 hours. This tutorial should cover all of the 5 cylinder diesel models. I've got a separate one for the newer 2.0 4 cylinders, although jobs are similar. Good luck!

I'm guessing you are refering to the one which is part of the intake air duct. I'm not sure what it's called, but I believe it's sold as part of the duct all together! Regards.
