The cutting wheels snap in half when I use it.. Attaching the wheels are a pain. Good product if you know how to use it, or what attachment does what. I keep thinkng I am missing a screw to attach the cutting wheel. This is confusing.
The Dremel 100 series on sale now for $27.65 @ Walmart is far from the cheapest rotary tool that money can buy. Trust me, I just purchased a few new rotary tools to try and compare them before deciding which to keep, and I did lots of research. Yes, It is the cheapest (single speed) option of all the Dremel models available, but there are (many) off brand or Chinese knockoff rotary tools on the market that are much cheaper. I think the (WEN Model 2305) is the best bang for your buck @ Walmart for only $20.53 it is identical to your (2307 model @ Walmart for $15.57) but also comes with a storage case, flex shaft, 80 piece accessories. The cheapest rotary tool I have seen is Harbor Freights (El crapo) Drill Master 80 piece rotary kit for $9.99 after a price increase it use to be only $7.99 lol. Also there is a counterfiet Dremel Multipro variable speed being sold on eBay for only $19.99 free shipping from china, but reviews say its not nearly as good as the real Dremel. All these prices are as of today (11-15-2016).
Because I have a world of Nintendo samus figure. I bought two, and I plan on using this dremel to poke a hole straight up the leg and using elastic to make it into a more possible figure :D
Interesting. I bought a Sliverline tool which looks virtually identical, except it comes in a toolbox for holding all the bits, and the attachments are of higher quality and more variety. I was actually looking for a demo vid of how to use the different attachments and what they're each best for, but this intro is good too.
I got this tool 2 days ago on Amazon and discovered there was a 2 pin plug on it. Would it be possible to change it to a 3 pin plug or can this tool work in Ireland at all . (rated 120v)
The polishing and grinding stones are not even close to Dremel brand quality,The ones I got are not even straight, they look like 8 yr old with no depth perception made them with a Hot glue gun high on methamphetamine!!!!!! IMHO
+teri S it is on the video. I do that a few times throughout. Pieces slide on and off pretty easily. Works sort of like a drill and drill bit. Slides into the center and then you tighten the outter ring with the provided tool to tighten the attachment down.
Thanks for the nice introductory video! The second accessory that you show is a cut-off wheel and not a heavy duty sanding disc.
The pointed one and the one with the small ball on top are for etching and carving.

I got the 2305 and love it. The extender cable is great, you don't have to hold the entire unit to use it.

if the drill is good though - pay $20 for it and then buy a dremel accessory kit and you're still coming in cheaper or comparable to buying a dremel.
A "knock-off" product is a Chinese counterfeit. The WEN is a different brand, NOT a knock-off.
