  • Found a system I didn't wanna tear into too much because it just seemed like I could've opened up a can of worms but the system is back up n running with all that I was permitted to do.

    That's a high pressure switch, I've never seen a fan cycling switch with a reset. You were right.

    The drain pipe before the trap looked gunked up and you may have a clog between the drain pan and the trap which would explain why you didn’t see water draining. And in turn cause the emergency pan to look like it does. Or it could be a past problem. Better to check while you’re there. Call backs suck.

    What your looking at on the port is a fan cycling switch

      It's not a high pressure switch? I mean it looks JUST like the one that used to be on the more rectangular rheem/ruud units from back in the day.

      @@AB_HVACit’s acts alittle bit like that but not really the switch is used for keeping head pressures high in low ambient conditions it has two setpoints (cut in and out) For example if pressure on it gets high fan turns on if it is low fan is off

      @@AB_HVAC You were right that's a high pressure switch , fan cycling switch does not have a reset button. If that's a fan cycling switch that's the first for me.

      @chrissipple1018 i mean it looks like the infamous ones everyone bypassed on Rheem units 🤣

    Do you recommend to the customer about getting an exhaust fan for the attic because wouldn’t it help not only you but the equipment. I have seen other videos from other repair guys about the helicopters and they just tell them that they’re recording the work for either you tube channel or teaching purposes

    • @AB_HVAC
      @AB_HVAC  Před měsícem

      🤣 yeah we recommend to either add fans or just basic vent caps in the roof. But more often than not the landlords don't care

      Pay attention to the refrigeration cycle, sequence of operations, and the importance of being able to read an electrical diagram

      Be present meaning whatever subject your instructor is teaching pay attention to that in that moment and not worry about other things. The hardest thing to grasp with HVAC is visualization what’s happening inside the refrigeration lines. What help me out was drawing what’s happening at each point inside the components.

      You will learn far more out in the field than in school.
      Get the fundamentals. Don't worry about making mistakes. Call another tech if you're stumped. Good luck this trade can be very rewarding. One last thing, don't just jump into a service call....just look, feel and visible you're unit.

      What school will not teach is you how long you can last up in attic , under houses or tough situations.but i can tell you is trust in God for strength and wisdom..
