Yes Ma'am, when you're cutting beef, it should be cut against the grain, just like how you were doing in the second cut. That makes the grains (the meat strings) shorter and more tender to chew🥰. All in all everything looks amazing!! I want to come over for dinner and the Word!
Yes, you must cut beef against the grain. Meat is too expensive to waste.

This is my first time seeing you Peggy! This is definitely our family's Easter table!!! My grandmother usually made ham but she did make a roast maybe not brisket but it was so good!!! Mac-n-cheese green beans with onions and a ham hock. Love the chicken curry as a second meat dish. The baked beans look just like my mom's when it came out of the oven. I'm glad I found you. Yes always family favorites at Easter. My brother Linc who's passed loved the tomato baked beans I did too. My father and older who's a great cook and my older brother Don loved the brown sugar baked beans!!! Hope you and family had a great Easter Dinner together. My mom ,dad, and brother Linc are in heaven. But me and my brother Don are still here. Oldest and the youngest. We will join my family later on and I miss them dearly.

brisket should be cut across the grain. so if stringy one way, turn sideways and cut.
