You Came released in 1981 so FORTY years ago. They are not doing a tour as the set up they are using is so complex. They have purpose built The ABBA Arena at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London U.K. It’s a 3000 seat venue and the 4 year residency starts in late May 2022 & I have my ticket for the 28th August which is a Saturday and I’m
Making it a blowout weekend !!! It’s a 10 piece live band too and the lights and lasers for the show look stunning !!!! Watch the full Livecast announcement on ABBA VOYAGE channel and you can see a preview of the show there !!!!

I grew up in eighties, in former Czechoslovakia, in times ABBA was on the "break". When I was like 9 years old, my mother brought from Poland two audiocassettes (Greatest Hits 1 and 2). She borrowed them to me and i was trapped in ABBA´s magic ever since.
So you can imagine how hard was for me to listen to new songs without being moved to tears. Tears of joy and pure excitement. Never in my life would i ever think about the possibility to wittness ABBA reunited and making such a great music.
The magic is still there and never left us.

What ABBA has created is something completely unique and it has never happened before in music history. Not only has it been almost 40 years, but their music is a masterpiece well and you can recognize them instantly. I am now 60 years old and still have their first LP and old cassettes that I play on my old turntable here at home. I am extremely grateful that I experienced this moment. Abba's music gives many people, especially now in these times, the feeling of warmth, of being emotionally "depressed" and the hope that maybe everything will be fine in the end. Why do even younger people have tears in their eyes with emotion when they hear the new songs for the first time? There is something about this music that cannot be analyzed or calculated. I call out to the cold critics: "Let's do this magic"

Benny was surprised when the girls said yes when he asked if they wanted to record 2 new songs, and then they still felt the chemistry when recording so 2 songs became 10. Alot of ABBAs original sound came from their sound technician Michael B. Tretow, as far as i know he's not working with this, but i guess they have numerous stuff in the archives for inspiration.

I think that´s a good thing with ABBA too, that they never tried to live up to the US ´s expectations. Not meaning that in a critical way, other than USA is a super power that easily swallows things that gets into it´s mouth.

I really don't appreciate Ashley the whole bingo comments, cuz Benny and Bjorn have been working their asses off Non-Stop since ABBA ended in 1982 and the girls haven't been too shabby either they've been dipping their toes in the musical Waters here and there so it's not like they just died they have been busy just not hugely busy like this is

so great music. It is a shame that they wasted their talent for nearly 40 years. a 10 year break is acceptable. what all could they have produced in 1995 2000, 2008, 20012, 20115 . ?

they have made music during those 40 years, just not all of them together as ABBA. individually they never stopped making music or singing.

this kind of an ignorant statement, their chemistry came from being 2 married couples being friends and have busload of fun doing it...when this fell apart they obviously could not keep up the vibe and ABBA would fall apart naturally...the fact that especially Agnetha said yes for doing 2 new songs is astonishing to say at least...my guess is that now cause of their age they all have a sense of mortality which often is accompanied by emotions like forgiveness and making peace with oneself and the world so I can imagne they did the 2 songs to close a circle but during the session the old bonds magically filled with new life and we now get the see (hear) the results of it.
