The Pleasure Pier in 1965 had the USS FLAGSHIP HOTEL built on it.........stayed there many a time!!! Then that hurricane of 2008 tooth it out and Landry's aquired the pier
I don't trust Galveston water , the last 2 times I was there the mosquitoes were brutal, so bad I had to leave. But this was at night maybe during the day is better
@@elreydeoro2310 Galveston is lit I don't know what your looking for but Galveston is real cool.its not the nicest beach but I still love everything about it I hate that alot of the history has been taken away mainly after the hurricanes but it has alot of history there and there are still many historical and old places in Galveston it's also very haunted.its worth checking it out tho.some hate it some love it.
Dickens on the Strand is a Victorian cosplay event dating back to the late seventies. It's also the last event the Central Plains carnies and ren faire folks work before shutting down for the winter in late December

Pleasure Pier is a total waste of money. They charge admission just to gain access even if you don't want to enjoy the rides.
They tell you that information on the website before you even go there... it says if you buy a all day ride pass you do not have to pay the walkon fee
