- Installed TuxMat floor mats in my new 2022 F150. Also compared them to the WeatherTech floor liners that we have installed in our GMC SUV. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Idk how well these will hold up doesn’t look very tough
Tuxmat held perfect for me my f150 for 4years now no tear no damage its dirty but it protects the carpet.. I will keep coming back for tuxmat again for my new truck
do they not clean off well?

@@ADAMEL1965 I don’t see any reason why you can’t. I’ll be taking these out in the spring to give them a good wash.

Just installed these but got the "Phantom" branded ones from Costco. Also had WeatherTech in my last truck. Tuxmat/Phantom far and away better than the WeatherTech in every way!

Thanks for the video. I live in an area where we get a ton of snow which ends up melting of course. Do you think the tux will hold the water very well? I constantly have to remove the current mats to empty the water

Are these slippery (and super squeaky) when wet? I mean more slippery than the Weathertechs?
I find them less slippery then WeatherTechs
How good do they hold liquid? I love the look and coverage, but it seems they'd just let liquid run down to the door.
They hold liquid well. If there is an abundance that builds up, it will eventually run towards the door and out every time you open/close, but it seems to clear the carpet. But if a person notices an abundance that builds up from the melting ice/snow, you can easily take care of it before it gets to that point, as in wiping it up or just sweeping it out with a snow brush. I’m going to post a video in the spring to show how they did with keeping the carpet clean, and how they look after a wash from the salt and snow over the winter. We are on the home stretch with winter up here, and I’m still very happy with them.
Yeah, it looks like if you had snow on your shoes/boots, after a few minutes of driving it would be pouring down the side because it appears shallow. I use the weathertech rubberized mats because they hold mud, snow and debris well and they're easy to just pick up, shake out, and replace. They aren't the prettiest to look at but may be a bit more functional, in my opinion. These Tuxmats look significantly better though- probably the best looking floormats I've seen. I am considering them but with all of the taped plastic clips, I don't know how it will wear over time and it seems like a nuisance to remove and replace for cleaning. With all those clips I feel like I'll be less inclined to take the liners out to clean them
@@sly9263 Perhaps I will make another video to show how they look mid winter here and their performance so far. It does hold a bit of water still, but yes eventually if it doesn’t dry or a-lot builds up, it runs out. But it does seem to go out the door if it has too. So far I’m still happy with them, and I do like their overall coverage/protection as it’s more then WeatherTech. The looks also are important for me, as I think I’m going to run them year round, instead of just the winter like I originally planned since they look good. I also understand what you mean with the tabs, but the reason they have the extra tabs it seems is for the extra coverage they have so they need to find a way to secure it.

Quality of the weather techs are way down. Back in 2011 they were thicker and fit better. Now they're thin and warp easily.
It appears that the Wisconsin based company has been bought out and production moved elsewhere. Seems like that's when the quality changed. I agree, that older Weathertech liners seemed to warp less. They're also much slower putting out products for new cars than before. I was particularly waiting for their window rain guards for the 11th Gen Civics. They've been out over a year, and still nothing. I really liked the original Weathertech guard design, cause they weren't stick ons, but instead sat inside the window channel - they were also generally deeper than most stick on guards, and created less wind noise because they integrated better with the body of the car.
I mean, I wouldn't use the laser fit plastic/molded weathertech ones on a truck anyway... the rubber mats are better for a truck.
@@sly9263 If you like the rubber style mats, Husky X-Cut mats are really good, particularly for Trucks.
