Thanks, Tim! works on alot of plastics, and it's kinda fun in a Pyro kind of way

You commented that "you can use propane too." What were you using? I didn't hear you identify it? I see it's a yellow cylinder but I don't know what it is.

Ahh, my bad... its MAPP gas, burns a little hotter. should be right next to the propane tanks in home depot, lowes etc.
Ill drop in some words on an edit as soon as I can. propane probably would give a little more heat control, but I found mapp to be just about perfect, but maybe practice on the back side of the panel if youre new to mapp gas. the top unit needs to be mapp gas compatible, some only run on propane.

Works on your faded trim on autos too

Wow! I'll be trying this on my shutters this weekend. So is the heat burning off the oxidation revealing the un-oxidized surface below?

the heat is sort of re-activating the top layer of plastic as if it was liquid in the mould. Just enough heat for the top layer to liquid and set back quickly before it distorts the over all shape. Not exactly burning off anything but sort of healing it. Thanks for reaching out and good luck!

Easier method - leave shutters on home , spray 2 coats of clear coat for plastic, done

Thanks, Ill skip. Clear peels off vinyl in no time. Vinyl grows and shrinks with temperature changes, clear coat doesn't. There's a balance between easy and functional.
