Hi! Thank you so much for the videos! I really like your style and playing! Quick question, important one I think. What is the serial number of the '86? Was it made at the Fuji or Tarada plant? That could be the difference right there!
Hi, I already sold this guitar so I can't check it. I remember is was a 86 because the number startet with 86, from my knowledge it was made in Fuji. Thanks for your kind words!
it is a Wampler Dual Fusion, the other is a TS9 wich is an original from the 80´s. It has that famous chip in it, don´t know the exact serial number. I stack distortion pedals, as the dual fusion has to distortion units in it, I sometimes stack them. As I am more of a jazz player I use this rarely, only if someone wants that rock sound:-) I don´t stack the TS9 with one of the sampler, maybe I should try this. I´m not that picky with my distorter sound, I worked a lot on my clean tones and my softer distortion sound.
Wolfgang Pointner yes, I understand. I love jazz too but I'm not where you are. I only use the I'd and distortion as you do. You are a great jazz player. I enjoy hearing you sir
General yes, but you know it is always the individual guitar. I compared my 1986 to my 1982 and the 82 is better, not dramatically but you hear it. In general I would say try to stay before 1987.
Great playing, and exciting AS's!

Did you ever compare this guitar to the Yamaha SA2200?
No. I heard good things about the Yamaha.
Hi. Do you think the As200 can nail the Gibson 335 tones? Thank you.
Hi, what model is the wampler pedal? And the other distortion that you used after the wampler for more distortion? Great tones!

And to the JSM10/JSM100?
Yes, I like the old one more.
you consider 85 a good year?
