That would be nice if the remnant moisture gets over the areas of Arizona that need rain. I remember in August of 1992 when Tropical Storm Lester hit the Yuma area as a tropical storm. The rain was so heavy that water was released into the Salt River.
The neighbor's kids were kayaking down the 'drainage' road having a blast. Next weeks will be tons of wildflowers and plump cacti. Reservoirs will get a much needed uplift. I love it when we get lots of rain!
Why Arizona has 50 years of water in the dam system here and 100 years of water underground. Arizona doesn't have a problem with water. If the government would stop giving Away Americans tax dollars to worthless country that hate us we could build a canel system to fill it from the Columbia River.
Lake Mead, Lake Pleasant, Roosevelt, Saguaro... every lake and the Salt River Valley could use some too. Ground water is thirsty. God bless a good storm!

Actually, it depends on which side of the International Date Line the tropical cyclone occurs. They're called hurricanes if they form east of the International Date Line whereas they are called typhoons if they occur west of the Date Line. As a matter of fact, Hurricane Dora formed just off of Mexico, then passed south of Hawaii, then crossed the Date Line and became Typhoon Dora. Hurricane/Typhoon Dora was partly responsible for the fires that devastated Maui. Oh, by the way, they are called cyclones if they occur in the Indian Ocean.

Typhoons are in the Eastern Hemisphere and hurricanes are in the Western Hemisphere. They are both considered cyclones.
