I am changing the fuel injector boots on a John Deere 6404. This is also called a Ammarine 404. One of the fuel injector boots started to leak a very little bit when I was on my way from Charleston SC to Georgetown SC. I just thought you might like to see what is involved in changing them. I am no mechanic I am working on my own boat. Not a how to but how I did mine.
Thank you so much! This will help for changing the boots on my John Deere 4020!
Good to hear from you. Changing all the boots provides peace of mind and problem free boating !
That is right. Nothing like working on them in the middle of nowhere. I like to take care of these repairs at the dock.
Great to see you back! Thank you again.
I am happy to be back, Hope to keep the videos coming.

Hello ! I have a question about the engine. I have my GB 36 from '74 with two John Deere 6404 engines. One of the engines pushes some oil out of the valve body through the vent and it runs down the thick hose to the side of the engine. Do you have any idea what it could be?? Do you have any idea what I should do now?
I would check and see if it still does it with the oil cap off. Just to see if it is building up crank case pressure. That would help to see which direction to go next.
@@OmFishing That's a good idea... I'll do that right away in the spring. now it's winter with us and the engines are on vacation during the winter. Thank you for your answer
@@OmFishing Hello. I've now let the engine run... So with the oil cap open. He sucks in air. Where exactly does the engine get its air in? On the fan that is above the water pump? Now have the vent in a canister to catch the oil.
