      What she did was theft, planting evidence, perjury, kidnapping, and several other crimes.

    The only mistake she feels she made was getting caught.
    She was an experienced cop that committed a felony and she needs to go to jail for that crime she commited..
    Every case she's had should be thrown out and everyone compensated with everything seized from her assets and pension..

      To be a fair the only thing I can think of is alcohol is sticky. I know I have a bottle in my freezer, open, that would sound like that cause I spilled some. Only thing I can think of, hopefully the driver wasn’t drinking and driving.

When I screw up I pay for what I have done if the law suits and fines came out of their pockets and their pension fund the cops would police themselves. There is no need to keep the evidence after putting the facts on record... but as apparently only the fact of an open bottle of alcohol was recorded, but not how the bottle was opened and by whom, I guess the bottle became destroyed evidence of the alcohol container being closed and now the bottle is evidence of illegal destruction of property.

When I was an MP in the Army integrity violations were punished by loss of pay, loss of rank, restriction to the unit area, and 45 days of extra duty. You also lost your security clearance and you were permanently banned from working the law and order mission. About 90% of the time you'd get a General Officer's Letter of Reprimand and your career would be ruined.
      When I was a CID Agent you would get court martialed for an integrity violation of any scale and then sent back to your prior job.

    I had a Belle Meade, NJ cop pull this on me, grabbed me as i was getting into my car, LEAVING THE LIQUOR STORE! Throws me in the patrol car, gets in front and starts on about open container... when i balked he takes the bottle out and cracks it open "its open now" he changed his tune when I pointed out that there was 10 witnesses watching, waiting for me, and several had been in the store with me... let me go, got my bottle back.

    Saying it’s a “mistake” to falsify evidence is akin to slapping a murder on the wrist. She knew what she was doing, there was intent to make an illegal arrest. Not only does she need to be investigated & reprimanded, but she should also never be allowed to join the police force again.
