This is my favourite USA team. Pace, team work, blend of talent was much better than the others. 92 team were a bunch of HOFs but if it had the 80s Magic and LB along with Shaq or Isaiah, then that would be a different story.
Being your favorite is one thing but this was not "much better" than the 92 team. Not even close. Magic and Bird no longer being in their prime doesn't change anything. They are still better at that time than some of the dead weight on the 08 team. Jordan, Pippen, Barkley, Ewing, Robinson, Drexler, Stockton, Malone and Mullen were all in their prime at this time. This team would have eaten and spat out the 08 team. Your top 5 on the 08 team might hold their own for awhile but they can't play the entire game and you have no depth. Way over matched. And back in 92 people still played defense. They call the 92 squad the greatest team ever assembled for a reason. BTW nobody on the 92 team wanted Isiah to be on it. Had he been picked Jordan and half the team would have backed out.
@@ravilcn I dont think they were a better team overall and I do think 92 is the greatest of all time. I still watch their games/documentaries. Having DWade come off the bench with his explosiveness is fun to watch for me. Player per player, 92 is definitely much better than 08. However, I would think 08 is much more cohesive
@@robrig55 I can't say you are right or wrong about who was more cohesive. Both teams got better and played better together as they went along. All I can say is that the 04 team was not cohesive and should be ashamed of themselves.
@@ravilcn Bird didn't play much during 92. I'm not saying this 08 team is better, but they do have better chemistry. I think if you watch the games you'll see the 92 team isn't that much better the 08 team. Also the international competition has gotten much better than it was in 92. I don't think we'll ever see a team win by an average of 46 points again. Who knows this 08 team may have beaten Angola by 80 lol.
@@sombrecynic4966 Bird still played over half the 92 season and averaged 20 points, over 40% from the 3 and around his career averages in rebounds and assists so he was still an effective player.
