- Missouri City police and Texas DPS are investigating a crash with a police officer that left an innocent mother and son dead and questions to be answered. FOX 26's Tom Zizka has a look at what we know so far.

You can see in the video he doesn’t have any lights flashing. He also should have been listed as unavailable if he was doing a transport. So the officer should have NEVER been involved in the chase. Trying to be a water cooler hero, took two innocent lives.

28+years in law enforcement myself and I can tell you that the officer's actions were reckless for sure. Speed was the major contributor here. Who ever was in the back seat was in police custody and this person was NOT a ride-a-long because only prisoners ride in the back seat. This officer decided to speed to another call carrying a prisoner, which is against department policy. Even if the two persons who died as a result of pulling out in front of the cruiser violated right of way......... There is also a state statue which faults the police officers because his speed was so high/reckless even if they looked both ways and saw that it was clear, given the cruiser's excessive speed there was no time humanly possible to react. The victims could not have known nor had time to react to the circumstances. The right Attorney will destroy the police narrative/lies in court. There are cameras everywhere in that area. Again, everything stated during police statements should ALWAYS be taken as lies to support their narrative until proven with creditable evidence. Everyone in that room already knows what happen and why and who's to blame..... period.

I believe that IF the officer had on a siren and lights and was following all the rules regarding the call, THE CRIMINAL committing the robbery, causing the necessity for an emergency call in the first place, should be charged with felony murder. That's my opinion because I am sick of it happening repeatedly to innocent people.

Wow! This is just terrible. The criminals they need to be chasing they don't. Speeding down the road with NO LIGHTS with a passenger in the back seat sounds like he shouldn't have been barreling down the road unless the passenger was a recruit but I doubt that

The officer was responding to a robbery at the atm. His lights should have been on. Losing a wife and son is heartbreaking my condolences goes out to the families effect by this accident. 🙏🏾💪🏾

It was a robbery not a chase, pay attention and every police department have their own procedures for responding
No department allows their officers to respond to a 911 call when they already have a criminal in their custody
After all investigations we found no wrongdoing, he will resigned and move on to the next department.🙄

The accident was investigated by our department and we found that the officer did nothing wrong.
