London's Burning Theme - Series 14 (2002)

- I know a lot of people were dissapointed with Series 14 of London's Burning but honestly I did not mind some aspects of it, compared to the other seasons its dreadful but it did have an okay soundtrack. Also for some reason this theme is almost impossible to find in good quality on youtube so here it is in all its strange glory!
Is it me, or I am the only one who LIKES this theme? 😂
This is when they decided to cake the fires in early CGI because of budget constraints and it really showed, I preferred the Warren Bennett theme to this one to be honest
Agreed, although personally I think we can all agree the best version was the original 1986-1998 version.
I love the constant guitar twang in the early theme’s composed by Simon Brint and roddy Mathews very 80d
I think what they tried to do with series 14 (aside from drive it into the ground so ITV could cancel it) was give it an edge and grittiness that would have made it appeal to a new audience, and give it new life as it came into the twenty-first century. Sadly, they went about it completely the wrong way. Doing away with a good chunk of the cast, changing those that remained so they were either caricatures of their previous selves or just unrecognisable were it not for the actors. Swapping the almost twee, cosy format that the series had fallen into with series 13 (which, if I'm honest, was a bit naff too) for something that felt like it was written by an angsty teenager who's stayed up way past their bedtime to watch edgy tv. And of course, reducing the number of incidents they went to, it alienated its existing viewers, and the writing wasn't good enough to bring in new ones. It could have worked if it had been better written and by people who could have worked with the limitations of a slashed budget and fewer episodes. Alas that wasn't the case, and LB ended on a note less akin to a blaze of glory, and more like a faulty smoke alarm.
The Series 14 theme is cool but the original ones and Series 11 and 13 one is great too!👍🏻

I believe this is only 1 of 2 videos that actually contain the theme, the other being shorter and lower quality!

Nope, this does not work as the LB theme true, the 90s version was so much better.
The original 1986-1997 theme was easily the best and should have never been changed.

This is terrible, the 1998 remap was better, more dramatic ( but the writing was very piss poor) over the very 1st theme, which to me had a sort of sadness to it, which worked with the plot lines.
Agreed, the original and 1998 theme were great, its a mystery why they decided to get rid of Warren Bennett who composed the music for the previous three series.
My least favourite LB theme.🤮
Nothing beats the 86-97 theme, although the 1998 theme is pretty good.
This is just absolute garbage, just like the way the series turned into. It turned into a soap. The action scenes were few and far between. Whoever was responsible for this, killed off the series without a doubt.

Crap end to a great series. This song sucked.
