    I have the Sumatra (not Carbine) in both 22/25, and both calibers take the Hades, the grizzles wont load in 25, and the H&N slugs wont load in 22 cal. They fall thru the mag. As far as power, I have taken a 135 lbs doe with the 25 at about 50 yrds, using the Hunter Supply HP 48 grain slug, (chest Shot). I found the best way to load the hades/slugs is from the bottom and push them in/up. Yes the sumatras are a beast of a gun, and make sure that your zero is dead on because once you shoot at your prey, everything else will scatter. I have success with the H&N hunter, hunter express, hades, JSB (25/33 grain) skenco, and poly mags

      Hey Anthony, appreciate the tips. I'm going to order some slugs from Hunters Supply.

      Another question Anthony, did you use the 48 gr because it was a hollow point? Have you tried the 49 gr?

    • @anthonygillespie7233
      @anthonygillespie7233 Před 4 lety

      I got the 48 grain because it was a hollow point Haven't tried the 49 grain. I mostly shoot hollow points pellets and slugs. I like the damage that the hp do. I do shoot some pointed pellets like the skenco heavys, or excite. Another good pellet is the H&N rabbit magnum cooper in 177 and 22. since you are shooting pcp rifles they should work well, didn't have any luck with these when I was shooting break barrels/springers. (The hunter supply slugs might be cheaper thru airgun depot, they were $10.00 but now $14.50 per 100)

    Hey Kenneth , on the Sumatra you have to load the pellets skirt first, from the other end of cylinder, I have the Sumatra .25 long version , all pellets skirt first , try it your accuracy will come back .

      @bluecollarsportsman613  Před 4 lety

      D, same thoughts with you as I asked E-bike, I have seen people load them from the rear but if the skirt is the issue how can you load it from the rear? I admit I haven't tried because it just seems like it wouldn't work.

    • @dairriflerob3865
      @dairriflerob3865 Před 4 lety

      It will work Kenneth , the only pellets that don't stay in are tha H&N Grizzly, try it skirt first on all other pellets , your accuracy will get better.

      Kenneth Boyd I had tried all different ways before, I can't remember if I read it somewhere or not, but I think it sizes the skirt also. Dropping them in from the front\barrel end of the cylinder and use a soft ramrod to seat them into the cylinder, most will snap or click into place. Without seating them this way, sometimes they would slide forward and jam. This way I also get the best accuracy. If the pellet is too small and falls though don't waste your time with it.

    Hey bro, I have the 2500 long. I have a ldc that'a very quiet & mine shoot most pellets I fed it except the FX hybrid slugs, they fall through the mag too. I load my ammo skirt first from the other end of the cylinder,the pellets practically fall in. I believe when you load then from the back end of the cylinder as the pellets pass through it the skirts get bent, no pellet skirt should touch between the cylinder and rear breech. As I stated, my Sumatra shoots Hades, JBS, Polymags, Benjamins, Enjins lites & heavies all well. If I keep velocity under 1000 fps the ldc quiets it down to backyard friendly. My ldc is courtesy of John Clague. At Shoot Point Blank range I can split a card in half sideways at 25yrds benched usually within 2 shots max.
    P.S..I run my pellets between 900-950 fps. When I plink,(Yes, with the ldc I can plink) I keep my scba tank tethered to the rifle via an external regulator hook up & keep the pressure at about 200 bar. These rifles ARE AIR HOGS....

      @bluecollarsportsman613  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah D air rifle rob, got me straight on loading the pellets. Next thing for me to buy is a new FX radar as my cheap chrongraph only works half the time. Then I can start fine tuning the guns.

    Can someone tell me, how to identify a 500cc sumatra from a 380cc, is that I want to buy the 500cc version. Finally I want to know if the 500cc version is exclusive to the sumatra rifle (long). Or it can also be found in the carabine (short).
    I don't find much information on this topic either, thank you.

    • @bluecollarsportsman613
      @bluecollarsportsman613  Před 3 lety +1

      The difference is the two tubes on the larger models. I forget the volume on the carbine like I have but it's not 500cc.

    • @bluecollarsportsman613
      @bluecollarsportsman613  Před 3 lety +1

      Oddly enough the one tube model shoots faster but the double tube gives more shots.
