That Lee Sklar guy has a bright future if he keeps at it! đ Dude has played on 25,000+ songs in the studio since 1970ish!!! đđ€©đ€
I am amazed he still has skin on his finger tips
I hope he catches a break some day. đ
Him and Waddy...he's been on a gazillion as well.
Lee is so unassuming.... People are flocking to his channel cause he's a nice guy and a cool cat and he's got the best stories and the best music...and also for the bass.
If I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, but it was Immediate Family, I'd be a little sad, but I'd be okay with it.
If you are a music lover how can you not give a thumbs up to this? Old Guys Rule!!
The Immediate Family are absolutely brilliant. They are the true successors the Wrecking Crew. Itâs phenomenal how much music they have given us over the years, and hopefully will continue to give us.
I can't see or hear a comparison with the "Wrecking Crew"
My thoughts went to the Wrecking Crew as well. These are THE Session Players in addition to touring Sidemen to the super Pop/Rock groups. Now, a group of Legends.
A great bunch of musicians all together, a rare treat
I really enjoyed this and I canât wait for the album.
These fellas STILL have it rock'n !
It's always nice to see a CZcamsr take up an instrument - Lee seems to have caught on pretty quick with that bass!
đ He's a quick learner all right.
?? Caught on??
Amazing, supergroups alive and well, and no massive egos, something positive in such dismal times ,thankyou all gentlemen..
Postells song, "One of These Days Your House Will Fall" and its' lyrics are great and the drums are absolutely monstrous! Wow!
Yeah, nice song, actual title is "House Will Fall" and it's on their album
Wow. You had half of the musical talent in the entire world sitting across from you. My head would have exploded, so Iâm happy you came out of it ok. Whew!
This was pure gold Sweetwater, really enjoyed those legends of sessions. Thank you for sharing this. On another note, we love our gear, thank you for all the years of great customer service!đđ»đ§
"When we're together we're functional". Man, that's a lot of truth for so few words! And it's so true, for everybody. I know if I had been alone back in the 70s and early 80s without my friends I would have been completely lost. No telling if I'll even be alive. You got to have a support system in your friends are the best ones as long as they're real friends! Glad these guys had each other! Peace! â
These guys could play any venue and still sound top draw. Just the best.
Top shelf for sure. Russ influences my playing to this day, 40 plus years into my drumming madness. What Maestros.
Aka The Section. Used to play that album for people, then 'teach' them who they just heard. Never ceased to shock people. 'You mean these guys played with who?'.
'Everyone' was my answer.
Great Live performing, good sound, good groove, nice songs, great singing. For me personally: I liked the first song best.
What a collection of talent!
My all-time favorite group of players...there are some great perks to being old!! lol Still love watching Russ on drums...effortless, and elegant... đ§Ą
These guys show us the way, speak up in your own voice!
"Look around my little friend, jubilation in the land" so good to see this happen, in spite all the world 's woes. Thank you gentlemenđŒ
âïž Love & appreciate all these guys and all the great work they've done thru the yrs with so many, and now together! Lord bless yall with many more fun & creative years! đ
These guys are the last great 'natural' song writer/singer/musicians. Their combined legacy speaks for itself & the humble outlook most of these guys have is no mistake. Thankyou to all of you for the massive contribution to the soundtrack of millions of lives. 50+ Aussie, Korg SV-2 + Ampeg.
amazing what a group of talent on one stage say no more Russ and Lee are the best
Was so lucky to see and meet these guys in a nyc show last winter. Got a pic with them I treasure. The best.
Great show!!!!!!
Pretty cool video about a legendary group of musicians! It would have been nice if the cameraperson had focused on who was playing the leads in the 3rd song though. đ
House Will Fall - now I wonder who thatâs aimed at đđđđđ. Great song guys.
well he said the iraq war, so neocons possibly, zionists?
J.A. M.F I donât think Iraq War comes into it now, as the guys said itâs been reworked to be more current and relevant to a different administration. đ
Love these guys
Five session legends...still making music this very minute. Consummate professionals and ultimate team players. Everyoneâs performance is above par here but as a bassist myself, Iâm automatically honed in on Russâ drumming. His meter is just so ON. Consistent...seemingly every time! Thank you guys. Best of luck to yâall....
Waddy actually sounds alot like Warren
Wow !
Saw them live at The Iridium in NY twice in Nov2018(so did Keith Richards at the last show) What a band and playing skills, great sound and fantastic shows. Was lucky to meet the guys after the shows. See them if you can, and buy their new album when it is released. Respect.
Great hearing you guys rockin' out!đđŒâđŒâđŒ
That was outstanding! Fantastic!
Waddy! Kickin it in the NYPD t....
Heroes.
next level talent. high with an incredible pocket. thank you gentlemen.
Real cool guys. Excellent music. I hope an album, because I love the Slippin' & Slidin' - EP !!!
Masterclass
Rock royalty.
I was at the Don Henley show in AC at Bally's Park Place Under the Stars.
Love it!
Had to subscribe! Love these guys! My younger years were completely informed by their music. Thanks Sweetwater! Peace! â
Our thanks to you, John! đđ
this version is better than the original. fantastic.
House Will Fall has a great groove!
I'm going to see these guys live soon and I really hope that they play a bunch of Zevon songs!!!!!!!
I just LOVE these kinds of video's!
Great Video ! Thank you.
My Lord !!! Living Fossils
"That's why it's called a band."
At one time, these guys were more badass then any of these wannabes playing today!
đ¶đ”đžđđđ
Waddy. I am closing my eyes. I hear him. I hear Warren. The Z. Every once in a while he shows up...X0. For all.
At the Coach House! (I miss shows there!)
November 3rd!
what a list of names đŹđ
Such a good contribution in times of Covid. (We here in Austria are not allowed to rehearse or perform). World class musicians. I watch Lelandâs Covid blogs, which you were talking about here, almost every day. And now to the point: it was a super sounding live performance and especially the first of the 3 songs (sth. about a Johny) was mind-blowing for me. The absolute best of 3 great songs! Incredibly good. Thank you for having made this possible! đđ»đđ»đđđ» Isnât Sweetwater in America what Thomann is in Europe?
The Section...
These guys are magic together, all true legends and so in sync! Brilliant!
đ§Ą
NICE
So many of my heroes in one band! Would just need Jackson on keyboard and lead vocals to make it perfect.
Loved playing Dirty Laundry while I rode my horses
I saw that Henley show in AC.
To my mind the best bands are the ones who portray a sideman mentality ! These guys are a true rhythm section,... No showman jumping around stage taking all the credit to the detriment to the others .......!
I'm watching this on 4 December 2020 - thankfully 'the house has now fallen'. Hopefully, you'll rebuild it better next time.
Dirty Laundry is a great song to ride your horse to, great beat to practice certain stepsâŠ. ( horse dancing)))))!
These legends took the reigns from 'The Wrecking Crew'.
My GOD... what a lineup for the ages!
im here for lee
Great hearing these old guys still kickin it. Question: what's up with the bass Leland is playing? I've seen a LOT of guitars in my 7 decades on this third planet from the sun but that fretboard has me baffled. Combine that with pickup placement...
Dingwall fan-fret. He has a few of them.
@@terrybence3758 I believe that's the one with the "quick key change" attachment at the neck, too. IIRC. Peace!
I believe it's supposed to give all the strings equal tension especially on the B string with the frets like that and the bridge is different as well.
Remember the Section..?
I would love to mix this.
Knockout guys. "When someone has an idea, we all listen to it". It's that simple :-)
OLD SCHOOL SHOWING OFF LOL
Old School showing little peeps how ITS Done..
Waddy's voice hints of Warren Zevon.

Why is this in mono?
Audio level seems low âčïž
Waddy has some Warren Zevon in his voice
Guys. Yr all great, no doubt about it. But you need a fantastic singer (Steve is good), and you need New Awesome Songs ... as in, really awesome.
Waddy is not Warren...
Wish I could hear this better. Bad audio?
I guess someone forgot to google Waddy
PaPa-D I donât think he was referring to his musical talent but rather his past legal issue.
Ouch, we need a frontman, guys.
Camera work was terrible, they didnât have the camera on anyone as they were playing lead.
No disrespect to these legends but they could have gotten a good singer to do this.
Agreed, it's a glaring weak spot. It would have been cool to have incorporated some of their pro backup vocal peers from back in the day, maybe a female and male team.
You're thinking of a different group--The Extended Family. The group in this video is The Immediate Family. BTW, nobody in my family has an operatic voice but we still like to sing!
Blends in and doesnât dominate the band. Donât want a âstarâ singer. However . . .
I think that they did have a good singer. Great band! I would love to see them . Letâs hope they visit UK.
I think you're missing the point. What they do is all about five old friends playing together. It's about the moment. It's _not_ about glossy studio production values.
House will fall is even more current now. It might be a good song for the Biden inauguration.
With a great singer they would be knocking it out of the park. Until then, not so much.
Thinking the same.Give They could give John Farnham a call,he's the same age.
Sorry, Given their history and discography, I expected a more polished and professional presentation.
Hard to imagine any version of this band without keyboards. I know that Craig Doerge is gone. But the all-guitar just doesn't sound, well, like history
Yeah nah
Love the immediate family don't love this one
Dirty Laundry sounds like horrible bar band. Sorry I don't like it....
Yikes... 9:15 that was a horrible attempt at a solo...should be better than that honestly...
How disappointing to see how regressive some of these epic talents are - and their blindness to who is tearing apart our culture.
what are you talking about duke?
Ya, Duke, care to qualify your opinion here? Where's your progressive contribution to pop culture? As if these guys have anything left to prove... LOL. Have some respect. Cheers!
Take your politics elsewhere, please.
@@SandcastleTheory he called them epic talents what you mean by "respect" is shut up and agree, stop thinking critically
right like we listen to music as an escape from that stuff and we respect them as musicians, but we dont come here to have their cringey political views rammed down our throats
I admire the desire, but there it's so sad seeing grey-haired "rockers", especially ones that were mediocre at best to begin with. There is no sex, drugs or rock n' roll allowed in the world any more, and even if there were none of these guys could handle it. Surrender the years gracefully boys and quit while you're ahead ;)
You are welcome to your opinion, but you don't seem to know much about music. Mediocre??????? These are some of the best musicians around!!
ObviouslyYour not a very intelligent person, your comment doesnât even really deserve a response, duh.
@@iammusictoo they used to be
@@hallucinatedovens8414 - still are. They've forgotten more about the "truth" of music than most will ever know...
Five of THE BEST studio musicians out there, ahh, the stories they could tell..
Very nice you guys are great.đčđžđŒđ”đ„đȘ
