Regarding the mask, I think the reason it didn't leave you feeling so great is because
1. Egg combats oil, aka it sucks the oil out of your skin and creates a tightening effect to temporarily reduce pore visibility. Very short time on the pore reduction effect.
2. Lime is very astringent. It cuts through oil, refreshes skin, and gives a tightening effect. It makes a good toner ingredient.
3. Beer is a type of alcohol, so it's astringent, cuts oil, deep cleans pores, kills bacteria, and is too drying for faces. Especially sensitive skin.
Essentially, you applied the mother of all drying masks to your face, stripping all oil from your skin and freaking out your natural oil production. The backlash may be hyper oil production for the next 3-4 days. :(
I recommend slathering on a Night Cream asap to prevent your skin from freaking out.

The stiffening was probably the egg whites before you washed it off. You can use egg white and TP like a pore strip!!! The dryness afterwards could potentially be alleviated if you'd like to add the egg yolk!
