  • Over the last few years there have been some pretty insane stadium upgrades, and these are my personal favorite ten. Which do you agree with?

    It's good to see how the small non League pitches have turned into stadiums. In my opinion, afc fylde have an amazing stadium with the sports bar etc. I don't know what the point was in making that stand at BPA it is the same size as the goal. The design for kidderminsters new ground looks good as I saw on BBC sport. I would love to see alfreton build a couple of big stands behind each goal as well.

      Watched a tonne of highlights from their games recently (bare in mind I live in Australia so finding Non-League football live is extremely hard) and the facilities they have there look incredible even for a Football League side, never mind Non-League. Wasn't aware of all the other additional stuff that came with it so I'm glad I watched, might have to go up there to watch a game next time I go back.

    Nice video especially as there are 4 sides from my county - Kent - in it. However, I'd put forward my own club as having made as similarly a drastic upgrade even if on a smaller scale. Sheppey United's ground, Holm Park, was an unused, poorly maintained Sunday League ground of several decades (I remember watching Sunday League on it in the 1970s) until 2012. Since 2013 it has had improvements made to it every single season including covered stands on 3 sides (one of which is all seater), the clubhouse upgraded twice so that it now has multiple TVs and air conditioning in the bar. The changing rooms are a wonder to see - match officials can't believe how large their room is when they see it. A supporters bar, tea bar, floodlights, fencing on all 4 sides and player tunnel have all been added.
    The most drastic improvement has been taking an overgrown Sunday League pitch and turning it into one of the best grass pitches anywhere in the country. The pitch is so good that it's been highly commended by the FA and has never had a match postponed for any reason. Whether it's snow, torrential rain or whatever the club have a 100% non postponement record and even the nearest league side, Gillingham couldn't believe how good it was. Some visiting fans think it's 3G it's that good. All this for a club that were playing at the 12th level of English football at the start of the decade and are still only at the 9th level now.
    The club even videos it's home games now and puts them up on CZcams so you can see video of the ground if you check here:-
    czcams.com/users/SheppeyUnitedFCIteTV
    The club has plans on improving the ground to level 7 (Bostik Premier) in place and interim plans on achieving National League standard too. All this without any investment from local authorities. Hope you do an updated video. Hope my club gets in somehow!!

    Ebbsfleet is a bit weird. But the owner's plan was too make the club self sufficient. It is going to be a travel lodge. The new stand is corporate stuff and commercial offices.

    First, I would like to thank you for this fabulous channel and all the research work you have obviously put into it... I thought Love and Passione had left Football until, by chance, I stumbled onto this great channel. Thank you so much.
    AFC Fylde is obviously going places, let us hope that on this great journey which they have begun the club doesn't lose its sole like so many have.

    Another great video and it is good to see that some non league teams are getting money spent on the grounds which is all the better for their supporters and potentially new supporters coming in. Good luck to all these teams in the future and let us all not forget the teams that are struggling to make ends meet either. I hope they all can survive as any of these clubs could produce future players that could make it to the Premiership and our national team, grass roots football is so important to our local communities.

    Great vid, shows that non league isn't just a park with ropes around the edge! I know this is purely opinionated, but both Billericay Town and Aveley has major upgrades over the summer. My club Billericay rebuilt all four sides of the ground and installed a brand new clubhouse, media suite, boardroom and other facilities around the ground. It used to be an average Isthmian Premier ground but is now good enough to reach the National League without any more upgrades. Aveley also had a completely new ground built, which I haven't yet visited myself but Parkside looks a ton better than Millfield, which was literally falling apart. Finally, don't know about you, but don't think much of Hungerford's ground at all. Visited twice this season in both FA Cup and FA Trophy. A league above Billericay and nowhere near as developed or impressive. Just my opinion. Great videos though keep it up!

When at “Bishops Auckland’s” (no s at the end of Bishop dummy as said in the video 😒) they would slag bishop and spennymoor there local rivals off for lending there ground when not having one if there own to begin with. Bunch of idiots

    Blackwell Meadows has some great potential with regards to extra terracing. The only problem is that there is a main water pipe running diagonally through one half of the pitch, meaning some parts of the ground cannot be built on.

    My dad used to live in the flats opposite Ebbsfleet United, before moving, and the upgrade looks very nice. And they're only 1 league off League 2, so it's not like it's a crazy upgrade.
    Edit: and now he lives down the road from Maidstone United, but that's much harder to tell what's going on because it's hidden behind trees from the main road. You can only usually see the floodlights

    • @MrMmnngghh
      @MrMmnngghh Před 6 lety +1

      I have to give credit where it's due, Tranmere had the experience and big game players on the day to drag out a win. Plus, we were so short on strikers that we played two wingers and a deep lying forward as the front three. Tranmere should be in the football league anyway, you can't pull the crowds they do and stay in the Conference forever. Having said that, Wrexham find new ways to make a mess of it every season, eh?
