A lot of people like the west end of the island, called the Point. It’s the inlet between Holden and oak island beach. I like any place I can find structure, holes, troughs, etc. walk the beach at low tide, fish those spots at high.

Do you have to pay for parking at the public beach access in oak island?
No, not currently. The town has considered it but as of now it’s free
