Great video. I love the way you are able to switch fishing techniques. Plus underwater video. Thank you.
Bearded Brad is the smart one for wearing white under the hot sun
Very true under the sun white is the right way any other color is just an uninformed choice
I like how you take the time to show us what lures you're using and what your set ups are.
Stopped by the store a couple of days ago and picked up a new penn combo, new spoons, and some terminal. The store is awesome! Was hoping to do a meet and greet with the GOAT lol. Keep up the awesome videos man!
Man, I lived 10 minutes from there until 2020. I miss that island. Need to move back. Find me a house, Brandt!
Great video nice pier to fish off of and I saw another comment and he's right if you're going under the sun white clothes is best
Great video. l love Pier fishing.l think Rapalas are some of the best lures ever introduced.
good vid brant, keepem commin good info too,be safe..
I love these pier videos! But then again I love all your videos! Hope you have a great day!
P.S. Have you ever tried Bearded Brad for bait?!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome vid Brant. What size pole are you casting that xrap?
Enjoyed that video brother, preciate the info on the bubble rig!
When i heard you were coming to okaloosa, i wanted to come out and meet you and throw for some kings also but the water was too calm this week. couldnt pass up the opportunity to kayak Navarre reefs. Maybe I'll catch you next time! Thanks for the vids Brant!
I always called them "Albacore Bootfish." Its like the old fishing comics with the fisherman with the boot on his hook saying "I caught a big one!" 👢🐟
I love the GoPro drops! Thanks Brant!
That bubble rig is extremely popular (and effective) in Hawaii with an AH hook and a curly tail.
Good to hear the jack called the Bar jack, amber was never heard in the 50s and early 70s!?😅😮😅 I am 80 years old and still surf fish with a little help walking, Good Day .
Can You do a video on pier etiquette?. watching walk with a lure with double trebles makes me nervous people slinging lures when there are so many people so close. I ask because I dont Know being raised in the high deserts of Nevada. I've only fished 2 piers and a couple of jetties on the west coast and there wasnt a whole lot of people.
Love these videos, have fished that pier, I gotta find info on what tackle you use
Very nice 😀
Nice video 🎣
Nice tiger shark right at the end of the video. Very cool. I wonder how big he was?
My absolute favorite videos are from the pier then shore fishing. This was an epic day. Just like the pier guy said. SCHOOL IS IN SEASION
bonita is excellent eating when super fresh, wtf are you thinking? 🤣
I guess you haven't watched many of his videos, because he has done at least one Catch and Cook with them before. He also uses them for shark fishing.
Great video. I'm going to be at Dauphin Island in July. Have you been there and do you have any suggestions for rod and reel combos and rigs to fish with while I'm there. I'll probably fish from the shore as I can't spend the $900 needed to fish from a boat.
This is where I go to fish but I always get skunked.🤣 you walk out to the end of the pier where I always am make a cast and land a Cobia I guess I need to spend more time and try more things. I did purchase a I believe it’s a XSR size 10 X-Rap I need to use it more. I really want to pit some quality fish on the hook instead of just bait fish.😁
You all REALLLLLY got to stop with the thought/idea catching one on your first cast is bad luck! BS
Im from Bloomington Indiana i had the huge Monroe Lake to fish on and many other great fishing spots!
I always use to judge how good the day was going to be by, if i caught one on first cast it was going to be extremely awesome!
Your “state of mind is very powerful”! Always positive thoughts!
What size XRap do you use?
The head nod on “cast” made buddy behind you mad 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 4:04
The Pier Professor! The white Rap is money and really fun to work! Well done Brant!
Man those Spanish and the small blue make awsome trolley baits for big kings.
@AnglerUpTv Hey Brant I’m heading to Pensacola for 4th of July weekend and it’s my first time going. What’s biting in July and what do you recommend on using. Thank you!
That bubble rig that you used for the Spanish mackerel, you said that you have to have that when fishing with that lure I guess because of the high elevation. What I don't understand is, you didn't really exactly say why though. Can you clear that up? Also I was wondering, are you allowed to cast off this pier? I remember bearded Brad in a video a while ago that got stopped from FWC for casting. They said that he wasn't allowed to cast. Is that the case with this pier because I see you casting and I'm curious? Or was that a different place all together? But keep doing what you do Brant, keep it up! God bless
@AnglerUpTv, looks like you had an awesome day out there!
Please share the rod specs for your custom rod and the rod builder.
What model is your sunglasses?
Nice l would love to catch one Bonita
Cool!
That Peir have a bathroom at end of it ?? I saw little shack at end
Man Delaware needs to get its act together
Awesome I just ordered me a bubble rig
Haha, just like in NY, before you even get the fish out of the water, there is a Chinese lady next to you, and she goes give me fish ,give me fish...
Kewl!
We are going to Oakaloosa island pier next week
If you like Sashimi, you should give Bonita a try. I tried it on a trip to the FL. Middle Grounds, a few years ago. Prepared fresh right out of the water. 🤌🏻
I always enjoy the under water footage of the fish thanks for sharing 👍
“ you keep?”
Hey Brant, I’ve never been to that pier. Only and always Pensacola and Navarre pier. Out of the 3 which one do you prefer?
👍👍👍
Brant, are you tying braided line to your white x rap?
I don't fish off piers anymore, bad for the fish, bad for landing. Fun to walk though. Plus, the locals are rude (in Oak Island, NC) and often just come up and take your fish. Odd really. Great to talk to people and see what's biting though.
They are charging 15 to 18 dollars to fish a pier in Va to NC. And don't have braid at Avon pier .
Nice to meet you out there been watching since the catch and cook trash fish vids and a local myself. Keep up the good work.
Go Pro action is cool!
👍
Brant, why do they have rules about top water fishing only? I don't remember ever seeing that before!
Oh, I hope you had a Happy Father's Day!
@@AnglerUpTv Maybe they don't want stingrays and sharks up on the pier?
Can you do a video on best king mackerel lures… x wraps
Xrap, even bass in Fresh water will hit that
i caught a big tarpon yesterday sadly he spit the hook
I be fishing there alot
Damn I just missed you
Brant I think that’s the 1st time we saw your dad on cam
Bonita great shark bait, do people really eat them, so bloody
why walking back and forth
What would the cobia eat?
What are the lures are you using ive been trying to figure out what you use I thought I heard x trap? Microtone?
The Bonita are delicious if you smoke them same with any mackerel or oily fish that’s the only way to eat them.
Nice vid. If its a public pier, why do they charge you? Why cant you bottom fish?
Great video off the pier when do you drop the GoPro and all those Cobia were swimming around all I could think of was sushi too bad they weren't legal size👍
I’m in this video I helped your dad real in a tarpon once bc he got to tired
Pier fishermen are a bunch of danglers! Bad practice leaving your rods sitting with lures dangling in the wind!
A bite from a Spanish, one, you’re gonna be in some pain and B, those bites can get mad infected. When I was young with my dad, I almost learned the hard way, 🤦🏻♂️ but thanks to dad, I learned right.
Took the kayak out this morning went to Fort Fisher in North Carolina absolutely slayed the redfish on top water!!😄
Brant,
How's your store venture working out? Surprisingly, we don't seem to hear you mention it much. Hope you're not concerned with self-promoting. I was excited to follow your store's journey. Hope it's been successful.
@@AnglerUpTv That's great to hear. Maybe you'll consider taking us through it in an upcoming video and share what's been happening lately.
Wishing you continued success.
I use to use "the bubble rig" Caroline rig style bottom fishing for trout. They work great for that method.🤞
Happy father’s day to everyone❤ I’m sick rn and this is the perfect video for a day on the couch ❤
10:39 You can eat Bonitas Brant!! if you brain and bleed them as soon as you catch them they taste just like tuna. But you already knew that right? Can't really eat tarpon, all those little bones!
People getting along, kinda rare these days.
Glad you showed the bubble rig. I don't think they are tourist or cheater rigs at all. They are great in many applications. I've used them with flies in many places I couldn't use a fly rod and also have hooked my boy up with fish on the fly with them too. I keep them in my tackle box for a backpocket trick.
Here is a tip. If you are casting braid, use Self Adhesive Bandage Wrap on your casting finger. You can thank me later !!!
@@braydenpaulk5079 Have you ever seen him use it in a video. I have not.
I was there last week and caught a keeper trout, some ladies and hardtales. While I was walking the shore I saw a 9 ft tiger shark
Going to navarre this week, wish me luck.
Forget a pole..... where's that cast net?
Holy shit, that looked like a bunch of cobia
Man! You ran into that spot on your first cast like a man on a mission, Dang! I think you startled those guys on both sides of you, I heard the man next to you say the class is in session, and that got to get you pumped, At times you make us feel we are out there fishing alongside Ya, I enjoyed the Pier Video!
