Some of the first promised and then unfulfilled revolutions that could have changed Italian football
They have been pompously announced with dedicated press conferences along with futuristic renderings by internationally renowned architects, but very often all the big words spent have remained such and never turned into concrete facts. When we talk about stadiums in Italy, on the one hand there is the sacredness of the place of worship, a sacred place full of happy and unhappy memories, where every Sunday people gather on the steps to support their colours. But on the other hand there is also a bit of embarrassment, most of the Italian stadiums are dilapidated, in disastrous conditions and with the athletics track that separates the field. Italy's last big chance to get a makeover was the 1990 World Cup, and from then on they slowly fell into an oblivion from which only a few lucky clubs managed to re-emerge.

noi non abbiamo gli sceicchi o gli oligarchi Russi , poi manca la mentalità ,troppa burocrazia lasciamo perdere ,noi gli stadi li abbiamo solo nei disegni , sono finiti gli anni d' oro dove i giocatori come Zico , Maradona , Platini, Van Basten , Gullit e Raykard giocavano nella nostra Serie A è vincevano tutto , basta vedere la nostra Nazionale , non è riuscita per due volte ad andare ai mondiali , ti fa ' capire che siamo scarsi in tutto , sia la premier che la liga sono imbattibili , noi resteremo sempre fanalino di coda pultroppo

Gli stadi italiani (tranne rare eccezioni, tipo Juventus, Udinese e tra poco sarà completato anche quello a Bergamo dell'Atalanta) sono fermi agli anni 80, grazie al mondiale 1990 sono stati sistemati un po' meglio gli stadi, ma sono comunque vecchi, scomodi e soprattutto cari. Senza mettere di mezzo la cara burocrazia italiana che è biblica. La Juve ha iniziato a pensare al suo stadio di propietà quando ancora era vivo Gianni Agnelli, questo ti può fare capire come le cose qui da noi sono lunghe e stra lunghe.
Italian football will always remain poor without new stadia, the why even the Tv rights don't pay Big money to buy the right to broadcast Italian football. 2 or 3 years ago CVC wanted to inject cash into serie for 1.6 Billion for infrastructure payable in 10 years, But some greedy president of clubs turn it down because their don't some of the smaller clubs to gain access to the money Claudio Lottito was pushing the clubs to accept the deal but the likes of Juve, Milan, Inter and Roma, stood their ground needy the investors to increase to the money. Now La Liga accepted the deal and are repining the reward almost all the clubs renovated they Stadiums. One of the problem in Italy again is the bureaucratic nature of Italian system is halting every clubs from investing in stadium.

Because of lack of funding, bureaucracy and all new football stadiums are all Paper plans but none get built! Sadly.

Italy has become the shame of football. Big promises, but all talk. No wonder they haven't even qualified for the World Cup twice in a row.
Of all the ancient stadiums in Italy, it would preserve the San Siro and the Olimpico in Rome. San Siro has a unique architecture and does not have an athletics track. The Olimpico in Rome is as iconic as the stadium in Berlin. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome was supposed to be just the stadium for the Italian national team and host finals such as the Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup. Rome and Lazio should have their own stadiums without an athletics track. Roma's stadium should be something like Estadio Mané Garrincha and Lazio's stadium should be something like Arena do Grêmio, which could also be a great stadium model for Napoli. As for the San Siro, leave it as it is, it's perfect. Its architecture is a work of art.
