bro literally fulfilled every berserk fan's dream of swinging gut's giant sword
I'd swing guts' giant sword too🤤
@@hiesama3680 the fuck...
I want this sword since 5 years, and if I get it one time, i wanna train and harden my body since I can swing it like Guts
Bro this bro that. JUST TYPE NORMALLY CUN T.
@Reapers_acc no human can hold his sword

I thumbs downed the video. I was hoping it was a smithing video with primitive tools and was prepared to be impressed. I was not. Cool looking sword but he wasn't kidding when he said anyone could make this.
Or people that don’t understand people who built shit in cardboards
@@miguelcharlebois6888 indeed.
Honestly the best Dragonslayer replica ive seen anyone do. The shape and roughness of the "iron" in the middle is on point to the manga. Very well done
Thanks!
if you havent, try taking a look at "pretty hate machining" , he's working on a full scale piece made with actual metal!
@@KyleMerriman of course!
@@KyleMerriman how much time and money did it take roughly? I have some materials and wanna try to build it
Phm just finished the dragonslayer, full in it's 324 lbs glory
I think the chain-bit you left out, is so guts can put it on his back. Its probably just on one side. Great job btw.
Of course! Why didn't I think of that
I can confirm that IS fot that. Miura had everything in mind.
@@alejandrolosadadiaz7121 He was a Genius for a reason.
@@alejandrolosadadiaz7121Rip legend. His art work is INSANELY detailed, there are very few panels were he leaves out or forgets details especially on armor. For example, almost every panel with griffith wearing his armor, his gaunlets have a hinge between the thumb and back hand for mobility in EVERY panel. Even the large scale panels.
@@ezekiellordzeke6492 And we have to admit that the people that are continuing his work is doing also very, very good
Wait with the quality of this video and all I thought i was watching some huge CZcamsr.. wow man you deserve way more attention and I hope you continue to make these awesome videos for years to come
Thank you so much! I definitely plan to! 😁
@@KyleMerriman i think you accidentally left your psychology project in the google folder
@@wandersquish1598 THANK YOU
So true
Title is a lie, you used tools.
Before I clicked on the video I was hesitant on the idea of using cardboard but turned out really nice. Great work!!!
Dude! So sick! Not at all the build process I was expecting! Well frickin done.
Thanks man!
I'm currently in the process of building it with a friend of mine, we've been able to get the cardboard from a local furniture store, we just need the spray cans and some other things to start building it. I hope that it comes as good as the one you've built!
Good luck, and let me know how it turns out!
How it is going?
How did the build go?
@@Lite_Arc We had to let it on hold due to our studies and other things. We hope to finish it soon now that summer is about to start.
Once you finish, please put a picture or a mini video showcasing the dragon slayer
So good 👏 And so glad you dove into the manga!
Thanks! It's been a wild ride lemme tell ya
You literally saved me so much money, i will make the sword soon when i have some free time off studying
Never have I wanted to replicate something on CZcams more than watching you make this, looked awesome!!!
Seeing you swing it so easily is the best part of the build, the realism like how guts would swing it.
Any finished pics?
Youve made a really good rendition of the dragonslayer! Alot of other carboard builds dont feel right. Sometimes theres no taper, or if there is one its too short. Youve really hit the nail on this one
I got a friend who is super into Berserk. When I saw this video I knew this would make the perfect birthday gift. For someone who hasn't done anything like this before I think it turned out alright. However, mine isn't nearly as good as yours! Thanks for providing the opportunity to make a really cool sword!
This is a LIFESAVER, Ive been working on/off on a Princes Mononoke cosplay and could NOT think of how to make the knife, mask and the neck teeth... things, i was already thinking of glueing cardboard together but i couldnt think of how to fill the edges so it didnt look like... cardboard. Thank you so much!
I'm very impressed, almost every other Dragonslayer I've seen others make have been way off with the proportions but this looks accurate to me.
I 3D modeled then printed my own one, it took hundreds of hours printing and assembly work but turned out amazing... And a lot heavier than I expected.
I'm impressed with anyone who actually decides to make one!
The chain part is only on one side and acts as a hook that guts hooks onto his back so he can sheath it. Great video I’m definitely going to try to make this sometime soon.
I cant believe you made it look this good with cardboard! I thought it was 3d printed at first! Great production value as well I thought you had a few million subs!
the graphite powder wasn't looking that bad it remind me of oxidised wrought iron but the clean steel color is looking good too
I liked it too - definitely super interested in playing around with it more
For the graphite powder, if you spray your gloss colour on again and wait until it's nearly dirty but tacky then apply the graphite powder it gives amazing results and way better than applying it to a dry surface.
Respect for actually getting close to the source material while building the weapon, and awesome build to boot! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
literally the most accurate replica i've ever seen of the dragon slayer. amazing job
Your videos deserve so much more recognition, god I'm glad I found someone that crafts cool stuff with affordable expenses. You just got yourself a new follower!
Thank you!
I think this is an amazing build and you really deserve more recognition, I’m currently building one for my older brother because we both like berserk I just wanna say you are absolutely talented and I am very excited to finish building this, keep on making stuff dude
Man you deserve a lot more views This is awesome!
Thank you!
I cannot express how huge this video is to me. I've been wanting to do a Guts cosplay for a LONG time but could never find a good quality Dragonslayer. All the ones I found were either $400+ or itty bitty and of really poor quality. If I am able to make this, you have brought my dreams to life. Thank you so so so much.
Did you do the cosplay?
@@turtle275 not yet. I've been planning it out and gathering the materials I need the last year or so.
Phenomenal build, absolutely loved the video and you were so straightforward with everything that if I were to follow along I’m sure I could do so effortlessly. I’m surprised you don’t have 1m+ subs already! Thanks for this video!
Incredible job, i really loved your experimentation and ingenuity to achieve an accurate look dragonslayer- the best looking build I have ever seen and it's cardboard of all things!
really amazing build, its good to see this prop with materials other then wood or literal metal on yt. also i want to point out that the little chain is use to hang the sword on guts' back when the action is over. he hangs it on a little hook. awesome video!!!
How did I not think of that! Thanks!
You are awesome for making this. I’m on my way to making my own dragon slayer now thanks to you! 🤘🏼
Have fun!
This video was great in helping me build and design the Buster Sword from Ff7 for my friends birthday. Awesome build and really good ideas!
so i was recommended this and as a Berserk fan, this is amazing! imma try to make this now! awesome video!
This gave me some really good ideas. I'm not making a sword but I have been looking up large cosplay weapon videos. I need to basically make a giant human-sized boomerang... This video was perfect and the sword looks really great. Thanks and good work :)
Glad I could help! Are you making the Hiraikotsu?
This video is a godsend for Berserk Cosplayers everywhere!
Okay, that video really motivated me, now I really want to make this sword too. Thank you for such a great piece of Berserk content!
Okay the dragon slayer is described as "Far to rough to be called a sword" and the imperfect designs and flaws make this a perfect recreation.
Oh PLEASE release a short video of you just swinging it around like any Berserk nerd would, not hitting anything, not swinging it at somebody, just swinging it around like a normal sword (side slashes, sideways uppercuts, etc.)
Let’s go this is Epic 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m going to buy the stuff for this and build it over the summer. Thanks for making this video
OMG!! thank you for this guide! I'm trying to create Clive's sword from FF16 and my first go to materials are eva foam, but I got a bit short on my budget and wondered if I can use something cheaper like a cardboard and boom found your vid! I can finally start with my project now
I think the chain bit is only on one side. It probably connects to a hook on the sheaf to hold the sword on Guts' back 👍
Hey, just as a heads up the reason you don't see the chain half the time is because that's what Guts uses to attach it to his back, it's not just inconsistency. Great build, loved to see it!
Dude I thought you had a couple million subs when I started watching! I cannot believe you don’t have a million! This build was absolutely fantastic!
Bofore applying the graphite powder, paint the parts you want metalic a gloss black base coat, and wipe down the prop with acetone to get rid of any smudges or adhesive after sanding. THEN apply the powder. Other than that, you did excellent! I'll make somthing like this myself one of these days
Awesome build as always, Kyle! I love the inclusion of a simpler/more approachable project we could try at home!
Thanks man, great to hear from you again!
Another awesome build, keep on the good work !
Thanks, will do!
no matter how many times I watch this I can't help but click on it again and again. I've always loved making things and I love fantasy swords unfortunately I don't have any fancy tools aside from a miter saw so I love that you made a tutorial to make this without any fancy tools
Huh, this is really cool! I've seen a lot of videos where people talk about making something for 'super cheap', but excluding the thousands of dollars of tools they have - taking that into account is nice of you!
Okay first of all. You have made my entire day, no. My entire year, no. MY ENTIRE LIFE. Your content is awesome and this tutorial is just marvelous. Thank you for making this video, I truly appreciate you being born. You are the very best. No amount of words can express the amount of joy I am feeling right now. Please stay safe and continue doing what you like.
The build looks absolutely fantastic! To make it a tiny bit more studier. You can put multiple resin over it have it fairly solid. But other than that it's really beautiful and I'm definitely going to make this! Thank you for this video!
Great idea, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
First build video I've seen where it looks both good and like I could make it. Saving this video to a special folder and subscribing.
Quality of the video and built is so top notch, got a sub!
Now you need to read Claymore…
can i pay you to make this for me???
No
i so have to try this! This looks so great!
I'm planning on cosplaying Guts this summer and was wondering how I should make a Dragonslayer. Man, your method is extremely simple and I love it! Thank you!
bro ive been wanting to make a sword like this!! tysm
Wow this is so Cool !! This is every berserk fans dream, just making this must have felt awesome !
btw that texture pattern right before you appllied the primer was epic , might not have looked good irl , but it looked so cool at 6:01
Thanks you so much for these plans
currently in the process of building it💪 ty so much for this video
Great stuff!! Keep posting 😁👍🏼
bro looks so good gonna have to try this out thanks so much for doing this.
Amazing .... I enjoy the whole video .... Its time consuming but greatness takes time ... I will try making it forsure
Thanks for the video
I want to say thank you so much for the video! With just a few modifications, I was able to make clouds buster sword!
I’m def going to try and make it! It looks super cool!!
man cured his depression from the eclipse with a cardboard dragon slayer replica
best medicine, can't deny that
This is amazing. I think I have to watch berserk now... Haha love the live audio bit.
You are so Underrated!!! Keep this up 🔥
Mate, I feel so silly for never thinking of this for larger props, you have opened my eyes. Thank you very much. I must attempt this.
Bro, YES. This is what I'm talking about! I have always seen prop making as this far away thing that's unachievable unless you're a master. This is definitely going to be my weekend project.
Amazing work, really well done ! I'll try to recreate this soon :D
I like seeing your past works in the background
Idk why but when i saw that textured drywall go on i instantly felt so happy. it looks so good
My man genuinely deserves more subscribers he is out here doing gods work
Excellent my man. I definitely want to try this at home and i will
totally be making this. Thank you SO much!-
I hope you channel blows up, What a great video man!
Thanks :)
you legit saved me- and I only wanna make a small sword XD I didnt have access to thick eva foam so i needed a way to make it using carboard and you helped me so much
great job!
“It was larger, thicker, heavier and crueler”💀
wow your video quality is great keep it up man
This is really cool, I hope you get more subs because you deserve it for making such a. cool replica
You make me want to do this now as a fun side project! So badass man 👏🏼 bravo my friend! you deserve more love!
Take this sub!!
Thanks!
Always thought it's too hard to do it alone without tools, and I was right, but now I have tutorial and no excuses to make one.
So great video, that heap of raw iron is on my todo in life
I want to cosplay as Aba from Guilty Gear Strive and I just knew I had to make her axe. This video is just what I needed to learn so I can make a Paracelsus replica to go with my Aba. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to get started. Great video!
Looking to make a replica as well and this looks like an amazing process that I might just have to use. Great job.
I built it myself. It was really cool thank you so much for all the help in the schematics. They made it way easier.
hey do you mind sending me a list of all the materials you used exactly, please?
@@VileRhythm he uses a lot of different methods to create it but I used just cardboard and paper mache as well as some spray paint as long as you follow the dement-ions under the video you should do fine.
@@fallengod8399 great thanks!
I will try to do it too and update if I manage to do anything, love how it turned out!
4:25 that chain is what attaches the sword to guts' back. Thats why its not always shown as its only on one side.
man you did really good job , by all means legend
Dam man haven’t seen a new vid in a while but exited to see how this goes
Dude you're AWESOME and deserved more subs.
I appreciate that you actually made the darker part of the sword look rough, making it look more accurate to the manga
bro thanks for the idea on how to build humongous sword. ill take note of this on my next project. keep it up!
Amazing job
Amazing work, easy sub💪
Kyle!!! You are great! I wanted to add a picture of the sword that I made. Thanks a los!
Incroyable ! Good job, Amazing 🔥
RIP Kentaro Miura… ❤️
I literally have that heap of iron tattooed on my arm so now I know what I will be adding to my house as decoration
damn i loved it bro great job
