Not gonna lie, the new album nearly made me weep. I'm so glad that he left us a parting gift, there'll never be another like him.
I listened to New York City's famous WCBS FM radio during my early adolescence in the early 1980's. WCBS had played alot of music from Chuck Berry at that time. I was enamored by Berry's music at that time. And I remain enamored by Berry's music to this very day. Berry's music has a certain spirit which is unique. Many musicians have tried to emulate that spirit. But what is often emulated is never duplicated. Berry had lived for 90 years and produced alot of great music. We (the fans) should be grateful. Berry's music will be enjoyed for far longer than Berry had lived and produced the music.
One of the greatest musicians of all time, Chuck Berry earned his nickname "The Father of Rock and Roll."
He was one heck of a showman. I wish I could have seen him perform when he was alive.

Why I play guitar and have been since 93. I heard the Beatles cover him and my uncle pulled out a Chuck album and told me he was from St.Louis. Me being from south StL was happy that someone from the midwest could not only play but be roxk n roll sent me off.
