They do pay attention to me in large groups. However, they are kind of an extrovert but at the same time a little socially awkward. (Yes, Socially Awkward Extroverts do exist. Your Awkwardness doesn't matter if you are an extrovert or introvert)
They don't keep a distance up or try to keep barriers. We usually sit right beside eachother. Trying to untie eachother shoelace.
They don't ghost me. When I send a message the reply right away.
I do initiate a lot of the talking however they also talk to me willingly several times too.
We can't ask eachother to meet up or hangout, outside of school activities. (On my side the problem is Hispanic Family Culture)
They do smile and laugh at some of my jokes. Usually the jokes are something we can both relate too though. Most of them have to do with Trombone and Band problems.
Honestly though, he is a good friend that I don't want to go away. Not sure if I myself even like him romantically or if it just platonic.

I've gotten to the point where I hate the idea of love. I can never tell the difference between flirting and someone just being nice. When someone is nice to me it sets false expectations in my mind that, when they inevitably turn out to be not true, I end up resenting the person and hating myself for allowing myself to believe that maybe this time would be different. Thus, I shut myself off from others. I hate receiving praise. I hate any attention someone may give me. However, it seems the more I try to distance myself, the more people want to get closer to me. Well...I’m surprised to find out that he doesn’t show these signs. But there’s still a chance that he’s just being friendly and doesn’t like me in that way. What I like about him is that even though I’m a bit of an outcast in my friend group, he always gets out of his way to walk next to me when I’m falling behind and whenever I’m trying to talk to someone and people don’t pay attention, what he does is get the attention of the person and say “hey she’s talking to you” and I just find that so endearing and adorable.
Well in most cases he probably likes you but doesn’t know how to show it. There are a few attraction spells that works in this scenario especially if you would like to be his girlfriend 😇

when i first met my crush i didnt have any feelings for her but after spending 15 months together pretty much hanging out almost every day, talk about our lives and our future and stuff, play games together and around that moment i started to have feelings for her since she doesnt do any of this. it makes me feel comfortable around her, like someone i could trust. and she is. she makes sure im not left out of the group, she puts me in her close space and rant to me, and i'll do the same and rant to her, she tries her best to reply immediately, sometimes she'll the one pinging me first or text me first, sometimes she invites me when i was still hanging out with the bois, and she laughs at most of my jokes.
its almost as if everything means that she likes me back, or she doesnt see me as a man candidate at all. but either outcome is fine by me. if she likes me back i'll be the happiest man for as long as she's here. if she doesnt see me as a romantic interest i have a friend i could trust my entire life on.
one day i discovered that she and this random guy who she met for no more than a month asked her out and she somehow likes him back and she said to me that she wanted to make it work. despite the soul crushing discovery i still put her first and supported her as long as it makes her happy. and three weeks in she was crying and when i asked, she said that the guy was treating her badly, but since its her first time dating she's not sure if she should be more forceful or more accepting. basically the guy didnt want to change for her sake and wanted to stay as his own self image that he has had for a long time, so i gave her a long lecture on how relationships are a two way street, you cant always walk to them, both of you should meet halfway and if the other doesnt reach you halfway, thats the time to be more forceful, and if they're waiting for you halfway, its the time to be more accepting.
her situation didnt improve immediately and over the course of 2 months she kept coming back to cry, sulk and rant but i always lend her an ear and a shoulder to cry on. right now i think she's actively avoiding me. im not sure why, whether if the guy doesnt want her to be to close to me, or whether she thought she's being an annoyance to me. every other time that we talk ever since then are just small talks or small rants about our work and studies. it seems like the situation improved but im not sure if that is because the guy changed, or he forced her to stay. based on her descriptions of situations everything screams gas-lighting and red flags that im genuinely worried about her. i've spoken to this about her but she says she'll remember my advice and thats it.
its been almost a year since, she's still dating him but whether she's happy or not is unclear to me. its been bugging me every day and its hard to focus. its not that i dont want to give up, its that i dont want to leave her in a horrible situation. its slowly crumbling me that im no longer sure what i should do. and at this rate, i'll lose yet another precious friend to human treachery.

You know what, I've ignored people who've just asked about me and my well being. I never really took interest in them.
I think I'm going to focus on people who ask me how I'm doing or people who willingly try and contact me every now and then just to check up.
how to tell if your crush doesn't like you:
- they say they like you, but in a confused tone of voice, because the extradimensional being controlling them forced them to say something they don't feel
I try to avoid my crush as much as possible, unless he's the one initiating the convorsation. I'm just a shy, scared person. The bravest thing I've ever done is ask him to come over

The fact that he felt the need to humiliate you shows that he is compensating for some inner weakness, is a shitty person, or probably both. yeah.. the thing about my crush and I is.. we don't really make conversations.
