Raga Durga: Rahul Bhattacharya (sarod) Shri Durjay Bhaumik (Tabla)

Continuing to document sarod compositions which are no longer heard on the concert circuit
Here is some raw video from a session in New Delhi with Shri Durjay Bhaumik on tabla
Three compositions:
1. Famous composition by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan based on the khayal "Jai Jai Durga Mata Jai Bhawani"
2.Technically complicated composition by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan
3. Fast (abridged) composition based on the khayal "Chatur Sughada, Balamwa"
Durga is a pentatonic raga in North Indian classical music, with a name matching that of the Hindu Goddess Ma (Mother) Durga....
This was an impromptu sitting....
I actually uploaded a practice video for two of these compositions in 2012... and completely forgot about it.
